Dr. Grace Mukamana

I believe this doctor injected me with steroids or something other than my botox for migraines. I really wouldn't trust her or her staff with your botox medicine. Because the pain after was more intense and messed up a muscle or nerve. I just had botox today with a new doctor and all the major pain almost disappeared. Just like the 1st botox injection.

We have been going with the doctor for 7 months and she help my husband and we like her and the staff very helpful

I wish I could give zero stars. This clinic is unreachable. I have called over and over, left messages, tried different days and times - nothing. No one ever answers. At my only visit, which was made with much difficulty plus a surprise rescheduling on the day of the appointment, the front office staff was rude and unhelpful. I am a physician myself and I would NEVER treat patients this way. Do not schedule here. It is the worst medical experience I have ever had.

Front staff very unprofessional. I was referred by my pcp to see this office for a concerning issue only to be laughed at when explaining my situation and was told they would not see me. Wouldn't recommend going here. So rude.

My appointment was postponed on an emergency issue on there behalf, they tried to notify me of there issue I was told , due to my busy work days and work policies I missed there notice, No back up doctors to me is unacceptable! Wise everyone better luck!

I don’t like posting negative reviews, however I would be doing everyone who may consider this doctor a disservice if I didn’t. Upon my partner’s initial consultation for neurological problems, Dr. Mukamana seemed pleasant and convinced us that she could help. Told us not to worry and gave us some hope, where other doctors would not. We were told the office would get back with us within 5 days. They finally called FIVE WEEKS LATER. During that month I called and left messages on their voicemail. I left messages with the exchange. NO ONE answers the phone. When I finally spoke to someone at the front desk, I explained that we did not appreciate being left to wonder if we’d ever get a call back. The Nurse (Julian) finally called us and gave every excuse. Phones not working, short staffed, etc… She said if we needed to contact her, to use the “portal” and she’d call us right back. We messaged her through the portal, but never received a call back. OVER two weeks later she just called to say that she could not reach our cardiologist/he hasn’t called back/she wanted to verify the number with us. I just told her on the phone that Mukamana’s office was a joke. I told her I was going to submit a complaint to the medical board because it’s obvious that this Dr. and nurse have no business practicing medicine. She hung up on me. I know they read these reviews, so Dr. Mukamana & Julian, here’s the nickel’s worth of free advice I was trying to give Julian before she hung up on me. “For the betterment of your existing patients as well as the SA medical community, please retire. Simply wonderful

Its not going well. Follow up operations are not completed. I have a CT scanned and the doctor's notes have not been closed out and nobody knows why? Now it looks as if a much needed scan has to be postponed another week? Who is running this office!

I didn't believe the negative reviews until she unprofessionally fussed at my wife for asking a question during my exam. I never returned.

I switched to her from doctor Seals because he retired and recently. There’s a huge difference in the staff. They do not answer their phones. My son is having issues with his medications and all I get is voice mail. The last time this happened it took them a week to call me back. The bad thing about it is when I go into the office. Grace Mukamana is the worst and most unprofessional doctor I’ve ever had to deal with, I honestly don’t know how she has a degree in this field of work. My father went in to see her Nor did she perform an X-ray or even try to get to the root of the problem when he first came to her and she kept canceling his appointments a day before they where scheduled making him wait months until things got bad and he needed surgery, all she has to do was do a simple X-ray to find the problem, and on top of her horrible service she prescribed the wrong medication, I hope something is done to shut down this scam of a clinic all they care about is insurance checks. I really wish they had zero stars cause she deserves a FAT ZERO. Have had 2 virtual appointments with Dr. Mukamana. After 20 years in San Antonio and a variety of doctors I would rate Dr. Mukamana as A#1. She is the kind of doctor you wish all doctors were like. Clearly very knowledgeable and competent and a very good listener and communicator. Her staff is also very helpful, communicate clearly and are responsive and caring. Dr. M left us feeling so uneasy about my daughters care that I had to leave a review for others. Daughter was new, had a STAT order to get an appt, but office would not allow an appt at all until records were received from previous dr. I had to call two weeks after to get the appt, after I knew records were there. Then 10 min before teleconference nurse called to get list of meds, history, etc. Dr. M asked us what meds she was on, her history, didn't know what Mestinon was (THE main med for myasthenia gravis, a specialty of dr M), and acted as if she didn't believe my daughter when she said she knows when her BP is dropping. Dr obviously never looked at the records we had to wait on! Dr M definitely doesn't understand dysautonomia (POTS). Been waiting on office to call for a week to schedule EEG, so I just called them. Dr M spent 6 minutes with us. Daughter has seen dozens of drs, and Dr M was the first that left us feeling like she just didn't care. 1 star for kind staff though :)

They gave my mother 250 milligrams of medication (which caused severe stomach pain and vomiting) instead of her usual 100 milligrams. I've already called and left 4 messages and no one has bothered to get in touch with me. I was told I'd be getting a call back today, so i waited and nothing no call.

If I could give this doctor and her office zero stars I would. I have a history of siezures and had one after man years siezure free. The doctor threatned to report me to the state unless I took the medicine she prescribed and also do 48 hour e.e.g. well after the insurance denied the service three months later the doctor refuses to help me with any appeal and her office staff is so incredibly rude they will literally sigh and laugh at you. It is a disgusting display of exactly how a medical professional should NOT act. In all my years at doctors offices I do not believe I have ever been treated this poorly. Do yourself a favor and find a doctor who cares with staff who cares and does not treat you like a burden or threaten you. If I could give this doctor and her office zero stars I would. The only Doctor that has treated me as an individual and not just a patient. She listens to her patients takes time with her patients, and follows up with a courtesy call. She did not dismiss any of my concerns. Her concern was me having all the help I needed. She is now moving to San Antonio, and how lucky they are to have the best of the best. Laredo will miss you. I WILL MISS YOU. THANK YOU DR MUCAMANA FOR CARING.
