Dr. Goutam Pada Shome

Very Good at his job, very educational, and oh so loving!

I had the worst skin allergies when I saw Dr Shome. Everything He advised worked for me! He has the best bed side manners ,friendly staff, runs on time @ spends plenty of time and communicates very well ! I have recommended Him to my friends and will continue to do so!

Dr Shome over prescribes medicine. My son has the occasional runny nose and he prescribed him a whole host of medications and tried to shame me because I did not want to just give him (2 year old) 3 separate daily medications. Especially when we had not noticed any real issues other than a runny nose. We had simply gone for a food allergy confirmation. I have heard this same thing from other parents and friends, I will not be going back to him.

They don’t care how urgent you need things done they will always put it off till the end of the day or days later!

His staff said I have a co-pay of $60.00 dollars per allergy shot (weekly). I call West Texas Allergy and they say that's not correct, if we (West Texas Allergy) gave you allergy shots it would cost $22.15 per allergy shot (weekly). So, being strapped for cash and not able to afford $240.00 a month for shots, I decided to switch providers. Then I find out all my allergy test with Shome were false positives and I don't need allergy shots. WOW, I almost got swindled. Don't go! Covenant is untrustworthy and all they want is to maximize their profits not their patients health. Update 5/31/18 - after advising his office of the miss-diagnosis and changing to West Texas Allergy, I received a bill in the mail for the unneeded serum $660.00 - which i will be fighting!!! I think the proof is in the pudding!!! unbelievable... UPDATE: 8/2/2018 - My bill has been zeroed out and I now do not owe a penny. it did take several months to finalize the dispute. Dr. Shome was very kind respectful and knowledgeable. He explained my treatment very thoroughly. He and his staff were very kind and listened to all my questions and concerns. I will definitely recommend him to anyone!

He is kind, thorough, knowledgeable, professional with a wonderful bedside manner. Wish all doctor visits were as pleasant and productive!

He diagnosed me with asthma and allergies my freshman year of college, and treated me me throughout my college career! I recommend this doctor, he will talk to you very honestly about your condition and doesn't sugar coat it!
