Would give 0 stars if possible, had to wait an hour and a half after my appointment time and was charged an insane amount for a procedure that I was given no warning ahead of time that it would cost that much. Go see any other ENT in the city.

I am very happy to have found Dr. Siegel. I only recently had an ear issue and was very unhappy with my first ENT who pretty much ignored my input. Dr Siegel is the exact opposite--he really listens and respects you as an individual with useful information. His audiologist is lovely as is his office manager. You might wait but it is worth it. Dr. Siegel is compassionate and very thoughtful. He wants to get to the root cause of your medical problems, not just treat the symptoms. He has been extremely helpful to me for several years now. He unraveled sinus and other ENT problems that no one else bothered to put effort into. After an on going tongue problem unexpectedly turned cancerous, he ordered a series of hospital scans to see what else could be going wrong. Those revealed a hidden thyroid cancer, which was removed before it spread. He is a talented surgeon himself, but will give a referral to another specialist if something is slightly outside his area of expertise. His bills always are accurate and moderate in their amounts. Dr. Siegel wills give patients the time they need. This often throws his schedule into orbit. I don’t mind waiting, simply because he’s seen me on a semi-emergency basis several times even though he was tightly booked. I would much rather have a generous, kind physician than one who keeps to an administratively imposed deadline. Before the pandemic, I thought his offices were reasonably clean, however, last two years, his offices have been scrubbed shiny and serious disinfection protocols are followed. He and his staff have been meticulous about other Covid precautions too. He has Saturday morning hours if you are tied up during the work week. Dr. Siegel’s offices are bursting with his collections of clocks, antiques, and Beatles’ memorabilia, a manifestation of his inquisitive and wide ranging mind. I had surgery with Dr. Siegel a few years ago. Yes, his office was dirty, and I always waited at least two hours. During my three appointments before surgery, he took his time and explained things carefully. But after my surgery, he was a different person. I had two follow-up appointments where I shared with him some concerns I had with the results from the surgery and my recovery: he was dismissive, impatient and very rude. At one point he just said "I have nothing else to say", got up and left. Just like that. Of course, I never went back. I had surgery with Dr. Siegel a few years ago. Dr. Siegel is a caring and extremely knowledgeable doctor. Yes, you likely have to wait. Knowing that, I take something to read and plan my day accordingly. The care that Doctor Siegel and his staff provides is well worth the wait. He takes time to read his previous notes and then to listen to his patient. He explains his procedures and his diagnosis. I get that ENT’s can run late and doctors in general. The office is vintage decor. Lots of clocks. I was a patient of Dr McMahans. I liked the doctor a lot and wasn’t annoyed by a doctor being late as some others stated. I have had many doctors run late. I lived in France and nothing like waiting there. Bring a book is a good idea for next time. I like his approach to resolving my chronic sinus infections since I have a PID. Something I haven’t tried so looking forward to it. He doesn’t seem to over medicate which I like. And took my underlying condition seriously. I find the doctor extremely knowledgeable, great bed side manner and sounds cautious. I have been a patient of Dr. Gordon Siegel for about four years. Dr. Siegel performed my sinus surgery and I have never had another problem. He has also helped me immensely with ear problems which are now much better. What sets Dr. Siegel apart from many others are his “bedside manners.” He spends time with each patient and answers every question. You never feel rushed or hurried out the door. He thoroughly explains his answers to my questions and is a terrific listener. Dr. Siegel has a marvelous sense of humor and also makes you feel at home in his office which is filled with clocks and Beatles memorabilia. Quite unique! The office staff are kind and friendly. They answer questions and are marvelous with future appointments and medicine calls to your pharmacy. I have called often and always received kind and courteous services. Mimi is outstanding in assisting Dr. Siegel with audio testing. Without any hesitation, I would highly recommend Dr. Gordon Siegel with any ears, nose or throat difficulties you may be experiencing. Dr. Siegel and his office take the time to make sure you understand what's going on. He cares deeply about his patients and in my case, has probably helped to find cancer early enough to save my life. He is appropriately cautious, but not overly iintrusive. A great doctor!

I visited Dr. Siegel about 20 years ago when I had lost my voice. He didn't just examine my physical problem. He sat and took the time to find out who I was and what would be the best treatment for my problem. I left my initial appointment very comfortable that I was in the right place. He had to perform surgery which was absolutely painless and 100% successful. This year, I began to have problems with my throat and voice again. I saw Dr. Siegel and this time, even though I was ready for surgery, he advised me to wait, give my voice a rest, and see what happens first. He called me several times to check my progress. No surgery, no pain, no voice problems after about 2 months. To find an honest being today is rare. I would have gladly spent whatever it took to fix my throat. I guess I will stick to car repair. Thank you Dr. Siegel for your passion and honesty. I also thank you for taking the time to properly steer my treatment in a direction that is best for me. Wish I could add a 6th star. Dr. Siegel is great. Listens closely, has a sharp mind that figures out difficult symptoms. He is a genuine human who cares about his patients, not always his schedule. The waits are shorter than when I saw him pre covid, but how much time will you waste with other docs who can’t help you? Of course Dr. Siegel can’t make “miracles”, but he can be darn close. I always recommend him to friends.

Dr. Siegel is most unusual in that he gives patients the time they need. He is perceptive and caring, has a great depth of experience but will make a referral to a great specialist if your case is outside his area of care. He doesn’t push pills or surgery and involves his patients in the decisions about their health care. He and his staff have been exceptionally careful about pandemic precautions. You may have to wait longer than you’d like, but his level of care is worth it.

Dr. Siegel is absolutely amazing!!! I've struggled with sinus disease for 15 years. We have had to do many surgeries b/c my inflammation/disease is very aggressive. He did a fantastic job with each surgery resulting in me feeling SO much better for years after each one. He's always on top of medical advancements and we have been able to stop surgeries the past few years b/c of a new treatment that has worked great. And he just recommended a new treatment (a simple shot once a week) that I'm eager to try bc this could be an even better treatment for me. Hands down, my favorite doctor and I have many many doctors. :-) I'm know his staff well and they've been wonderful as well. Highly highly recommend Dr. Siegel and his team.

Dr. Gordon Siegel is great! He takes fine care of his patients himself, not handing you off to assistants. Dr. Siegel is super smart and if he can’t figure out how to help you at once, he will do research on professional websites. That’s how he figured out I have an unusual allergy that was causing strange sores in my mouth. I don’t care that I have long waits in his office, at least I am getting great, thoughtful care. And his collection of clocks are a hoot. Can’t recommend this doc highly enough.

Dr. Siegel’s is very careful, thoughtful and watchful. There can be significant waits in his office. Occasionally these are caused by patients like myself whose recurring problems pop up suddenly and need a quick check, or by his early morning surgery schedule causing backups. His office staff is generally good, and they try to be protective of his time and of access to him. Dr. Siegel does ALL the patient care himself, a rarity in our modern era. He wants to understand his patients and to help them be well. Friends have complained over the years about MDs who don’t give them enough time, who don’t explain things well, who don’t care about the patient’s concerns and thoughts, or who can’t think beyond their narrow specialty. Dr. Siegel has NONE of these shortcomings; instead he excels in all these areas. His keen mind is paired with a strong, warm humanity. Bring a book or headphones, and be pleasantly surprised by an old fashioned yet up-to-date MD who is well worth any wait.

Dr. Siegel cares very much about his patients and gives them the time they need, rather than shoveling patients through as if he were on a train schedule. There can be substantial delays for your appointment. But this isn’t “Jiffy Lube”; you are coming to him for help with a difficult medical condition/situation. I can put no price in time for being under the care of a highly perceptive, very skillful physician who listens attentively and views his patients as entire humans. I rely greatly on his meticulous care and compassionate soul. He and his staff adhere to exceptionally cautious measures to ensure everyone’s safety while in his office during the pandemic.

Dr. Siegel is impressive, he's thorough, thoughtful, kind and also listens intently to his patients. He has been a great help to me these past few years with some serious medical problems. His office may seem old-fashioned to some, but he has a finely tuned, observant mind. Yes, some people complain about the wait times for appointments. You have to decide for yourself if your inconvenience is worth having having a difficult medical problem addressed. Dr. Siegel follows the unfortunately now "old-fashioned" concept of giving patients the time they need, which means there are usually substantial waits. Bring a book, and make an appointment for late in the day if you can't be out of your office for long. He is a treasure.

If I didn’t really need to see an ENT I wouldn’t have stayed. Other comments are spot on. The office is really dirty-aren’t there standards for cleanliness at a doctor’s office?! Completely 100% unacceptable I read the reviews that the doctor runs really really late I was referred by Dr. McMahon and he told me that he’s known for being very late and to check in over the phone or tell them to give me a call and I can go shopping or run an errand while he was running late and instead of sitting for two hours in his office. I called at 10 AM and asked how late the doctor was running the receptionist said 15 minutes I said are you sure it’s 15 minutes because last time was a really long time I said can I just check in over the phone she said no you have to check it in person fine I said but I’m not waiting this long she said well it’s never more than an hour I’m like well last time it was 2 hours she was giving me a lot of attitude so I just hung up. I get to the office and they make me wait in the room from 10:30 AM to 12:06 PM One hour and 36 minutes I went to the front desk and I said I need to get back to work I took my lunch break and why did she tell me 15 minutes and they said well at the time it was 15 minutes I find it very hard to believe that from 10 to 1030 a 15 minute wait jumped up to almost an hour and 40 minutes it is so unbelievably irresponsible and unprofessional to make patients that are taking a lunch break that need to get back to work an almost 2 hour wait in the waiting room and I’m just so livid that I specifically even called and asked and the snotty receptionist had to give me all that attitude. When I was obviously right. NEVER again am I coming to this doctor. And the receptionists lie if you ask how long is he running? They always say 15 minutes and that’s all and it’s always an hour and a half to two hours do not come here. My first appointment was fine, but when I went to the follow-up two weeks later, they had no clue why I was there. I was asked if it was my one-year checkup and I had to tell them I had only been there once and that was just two weeks prior. I had to explain to them what I was there for a follow-up appointment. I mentioned that I thought it was for a CT scan, and was told, no, that didn't seem likely, and then told again five minutes later that, yes, I was probably there for a CT scan. Then I was told to wait while the staff checked to see if they had contacted my insurance to cover the scan. I waited 45 minutes and when the doctor finally came in, he gave me the "I take as much time as I need with each patient," line. I got the strong feeling that they are terribly disorganized and that I would not receive good care from them so I left. I actually found this quite a good experience. He was a really personable doctor that took the time to talk to me and understand my issues, and understand other factors in my health situation that impacted the reason I was visiting him. I will say, the office is eclectic.... Certainly a bit bizarre, but it grew on me. I'm not exactly sure the complaint people have regarding needing more tests. I was happy to finally run into a doctor that was willing to go further than throw pills at me and hope for the best. Anyway, he really helped me mitigate my sinus issues, something 2 GPs, an allergist, and another ENT were never able to help me with with random pills. Overall, this was a good set of experiences for me (and I say set of experience). I'm glad I went here. I actually found this quite a good experience. Horrendous experience. I immediately regretted it as soon as I walked in. Waited an hour in a dirty and dusty examination room before going to the front to find out what was taking so long. It took another half hour for the doctor to show up. He spent maybe 10 minutes with me before saying there was nothing he could do until I went to Northwestern Hospital for tests (which ended up costing over $2000). My hour and a half wait and ten minutes with the doctor, alone, cost me over $250. I'm not sure how this place is still in business but do not go here. I wish I could take this experience back.
