Had a vasectomy. Complained of prolonged post Op pain. Was seen, and pain was dismissed. My wife got pregnant 3 months later. Went to him for answers. He basically said the procedure was a success and I was sterile, so there must be "another explanation for how my wife got pregnant". Well, wife didn't like that answer, and insisted on a paternity test to prove her fidelity. Guess what Doc? Your procedure failed, paternity test proven. He ghosted me after I found out and tried to schedule with him again. I wouldn't trade my daughter for anything, but this Doc not only failed medically, he nearly ended an otherwise wonderful marriage. Oh, and I still get random pains down there. AVOID!

Dr Gluckman is very informative, patient and genuinely concerned with your well being. He actually calls you back personally during non -office hours. He is listed in the Chicago magazine as being the top of his field. Its great that the office has tele health appointments.

At the end of mlb season, they award the best defensive players the Golden Glove Award. Dr. Gordon Gluckman should be awarded the Golden Cystoscopy of the year. I had to see Dr. Gluckman because I had an overactive bladder. My bladder and prostate were enlarged, and there was so much pressure pushing on them. I’d try to urinate but it took five minutes for anything to come out, plus it was very painful. I only had a weak stream coming out. After my cystoscopy I felt like a new man. I’m able to urinate immediately with a full stream, and I no longer feel any pressure in my bladder. Dr. Gluckman has an amazing bedside manner not to mention a great personality. When he explains something, he does it in Layman’s terms. If you experience any of the symptoms I just described, please contact Dr. Gluckman immediately. I can’t wait to see him getting the Golden Cystoscopy Award, for Urologist of the year.

Dr. Gordon Gluckman is an excellent Urologist and I would highly recommend him to all my friends and family. I had a mass on my right kidney and he took the time to explain my situation and all of my options and outcomes. He was very kind and patient when speaking with me and my family. On the day of my surgery he again explained the process and made me and my family feel at ease. I never doubted that I was in excellent hands with Dr. Gluckman.

Dr. Gluckman and his staff are extraordinary.I want to thank them for showing me such care.I only wish I had gone to see Dr. Gluckman sooner than I did.I suffered greatly for a long time with BPH along with all of its horrible side effects.Dr. Gluckman performed a procedure called TURP. I can now say that after the surgery life is good again, so once more I say from the heart, thank you Dr. Gluckman for taking care of me.

I have taken my father to see Dr Gluckman for many years and my father had done very well under his care. Dr. Gluckman helped my father navigate through urination flow issues and then prostate cancer. Throughout my father’s treatments, Dr. Gluckman’s expertise and thoroughness was appreciated and his approach and guidance were spot-on. Dr. Gluckman is extremely patient and considerate. I have never felt rushed in his presence and he always makes time to answer my father’s and the family’s questions. The admin staff is top-notch as well helping us to re-schedule appointments and other logistics, sometimes with minimal notice. My father’s hearing is impaired but both Dr. Gluckman and the staff talk to my father slowly and loudly to make sure he understands. Our family saw multiple urologists (other practices) initially, until we settled on Dr. Gluckman. Once you meet him you will understand that he is easily head and shoulders above the rest.

Kept me waiting in excruciating pain for drug approval and even told the nurse I don’t believe he’s in pain. I was only crying and violently shaking for hours but I guess I’m a liar. Talked to me for all of 5 minutes and was extremely rude. After reading John Berardi’s review i know I’m not crazy since I had a similar experience.

Dr. Gluckman treated me as well as any doctor can during a tough crisis. He communicated my condition and provided me the available options. He was trustworthy and explained everything perfectly. He did a fantastic job with my condition and with my surgery. I would absolutely recommend him for any urological needs you may have.

For years, I'd been dealing with issues of frequency and urgency of urination that had been treated -- I guess at my insistence, believing this was just an inevitable part of aging -- with minimal intervention (basically, meds and Depends). Dr. Gluckman took a different, more aggressive approach after I'd endured a blockage. Result of his non-traumatic surgical procedure: Everything works, the Depends are gone and the one remaining med is being phased out. Along with competence, Dr. Gluckman exudes a reassuring confidence and a refreshing frankness. I never want to see him again, of course, aside from a scheduled follow-up check -- but if the time comes, he's the man.

I would not even give him 1 Star I have never been treated like that by a doctor in my entire life extremely rude and egotistical

When it was discovered that I had an agressive cancer in my prostate, Dr. Gluckman was recommended by my regular urologist. He was especially good presenting the options, answering questions and discussing matters with my wife and me. The prostatectomy was performed with the necessary precision to allow for an excellent recovery. I have been making steady progress. His sensitivity to how a guy feels about having surgery in such a delicate part of the male body has been especially good, and much appreciated.

Dr. Gluckman is amazing! He compassionately explained my kidney cancer, stage, tumor size, and all the medical complications of removing a kidney/tumor. Dr. Gluckman personally explained his well planned procedure customized specifically to me, and what I could expect post-op. He removed my kidney, tumor, adrenal glands and lymph nodes. Dr. Gluckman saved my life and am forever grateful. Thank you for making me cancer free! John

Dr. Gluckman was recommended to me by my regular doctor. Very grateful he recommended Dr Gluckman. Not only is he a very skilled surgeon but a very, very, fine person. I had a cancerous tumor on one of my kidneys. A partial nephrectomy had to be done Due to its location the surgery was going to be major and complex. Took plenty of time to explain, then answer all questions and ease my anxiety. Surgery went well with little post op pain. Office staff friendly. Thanks for your help Kaitlin !

excellent surgeon -removed cancerous kidney - very caring doctor

As an 80 year old undergoing major open surgery (full nephrectomy) I was nervous and had many questions. Dr Gluckman spent as much time as I needed to explain my condition, review various options and explain exactly what the next steps would be. I can honestly say that the entire surgery process was much easier than I anticipated. Pain was kept at a minimum with medications and epidural, and I am recovering easily and fully. I would recommend Dr Gluckman to anyone in need of a urologist.

I must have been the only patient he had that had an issue with this urologist. He did multiple surgeries on me in the past. I have Had no issues with surgery part. I have been coming to see dr glaucoma for over a couple years. Now as his patient i feel he is personally done helping me any further with my kidney pain. This has to be the worst experience I have had with a doctor. And when you have a Patient that has not called regarding the kidney stones in over 8 months. Now I have been to two emergency rooms within two days blood in my kidney stones and back pain. The emergency room will not give you pain meds when you leave. So they direct you back to the specialist that I use for my stones. Waiting two days to speak to my doctor or someone to help me. After two days finally get a hold of my doctor and he says I am not in pain so he will not give me anything. As of today i am looking for another doctor that might actually want to help when they have a patient in pain. Yeah of course I love wasting my time and money for no help. He is going to feel really quilty when something happens to me After not helping me. I hope in the future no one else has to be treated by him and his nurses this rude. Very patient, down-to-Earth (not all doctors are), and very knowledgeable. He is completely unable to work with young people who have a volatile work schedule. He takes his absolute time to make a diagnosis and discharges you from the practice and says that you are not being cooperative with your treatment if miss appointments due to work. It really sucks that his practice dominates the whole urology market so now I have to go untreated because every urologist in the county is in his practice

I have been treated twice by Dr. Gluckman over the past 7 years for separate situations - both which required surgery. I can say with 100% confidence that Dr. Gluckman is one of if not the best in his field. From every step of his pre and then post procedure manners, I felt so at ease under his care. If you have any urological procedures requiring attention, I cannot stress enough how great Dr. Gluckman will treat all patients as he did with me!

Started seeing Dr Gluckman 3 years ago. On the first visit I knew he was a keeper. Had a TUVP done after he explained all my options. You know a surgeon is great when there are no complications and you don't feel beat up post surgery. I could have gone anywhere to get this done because I am lucky enough to have great insurance. I stuck with Dr Gluckman and it was one of the best decisions I ever made

My association with Dr. Gluckman started about two years ago. He and I took a conservative approach to prostate enlargement treatment. Recently things turned for the worst so we discussed surgical options and decided on the TURP procedure. The surgery went well, Lutheran General Hospital was totally accommodating since I have a hearing loss and needed an ASL interpreter. Recovery is going smoothly. This is a compassionate doctor who can be totally trusted.

I was referred to Dr.Gluckman by my primary doctor. As soon as I met him I felt very comfortable, and at ease. It turned out I needed surgery, which was explained to me in easy to understand terms. My surgery went exactly the way he described. My only wish is that I had met him sooner. I will recommend Dr. Gluckman to others I know, and encourage them to not wait.

I am very glad I met him and had a Urolift procedure to treat my enlarged prostate by him. He is very friendly and caring,and easy to talk. I trust him and his knowledge. I would recommend him to others. And also his all staff members were so kind and helpful & made us feel comfortable,especially Sarah Murfey (FNP). Again, me & my wife are so grateful for the exceptional care we recieved from Dr Gluckman and his team.

Dr. Gluckman recently performed a complex surgery on me to remove what turned out to be a cancerous cyst. Due to the size and location of the cyst, it was necessary to remove the entire kidney to assure that all malignant tissue was removed. I feel fortunate to have been under the care of a surgeon as skilled as Dr. Gluckman. I highly recommend him and the entire staff at Northwest Suburban Urologists.

Such calm and knowledgeable wonderful doctor, highly recommended.

Dr. Gluckman cured a urological problem I have experienced on and off the last 30 years. He provided several alternative approaches and clearly explained the benefits and risk associated with each approach. I am happy to report that the alternative he suggested worked.

Excellent urologist! I had a very complicated problem and he did surgery on me to correct my problem. He spends time with you to explain things and is easy to talk to. I have seen other urologists in the past and he is very skilled and one of the best.

Recently saw Dr. Gordon Gluckman and after his diagnosis, had surgery at Lutheran General Hospital. He is a very caring and skilled urologist and wonderful to work with. We would highly recommend him for your urology medical issues. He is easy to talk to and fully explains everything to you. He treats you like family which is appreciated.

Dr Gluckman is awesome. I went to him based on other reviews for a 2nd opinion. He became my first choice for doing the surgery. He talked to me and explained everything so that I understood all options. I never felt I was being rushed or ignored by Dr Gluckman. He took his time with me. I had a lot of confidence in him. He took care of me when I needed it most. Thank you Dr Gluckman. Plus the staff that I he has are some wonderful people.

Dr. Gluckman is a doctor you can trust to give you educated and experienced answers to all concerns. There is no grass growing under this guy's feet. He is type A, all the way. I am convinced that his skill in the OR is what has made my recovery faster and a whole lot less painful. I had put off surgery for four years, and recently consulted another practice. Without hesitation, I revisited Dr. G, and he remembered me.....A pro's, pro all the way. I would call him a good friend.

I've had a long history of Kidney Stones and Dr. Gluckman makes me feel so safe! I am a handicap woman and he treats me just like he would any other person!
