Amazing place I felt no pain and it was quick. This was my first dentist that I had no pain while working 10/10 would recommend

Dr. Block was very professional, and I was very happy with the work he did on my root canal. The staff is very friendly and they adhered to strict COVID protocols, so I felt very safe.

Dr. Gordon Block and his team (Heidi, Marisa, George) are wonderful! They worked me into their busy schedule as soon as they could. Dr. Block was able to diagnose the problem quickly and proceeded with a root canal. I felt I was in good hands and well taken care of so I wasn’t anxious about the surgery. The procedure went very smoothly even though he had to drill through an existing crown. My tooth was saved and I am very grateful to have this wonderful team working on my first root canal! Everyone was wonderful! I had never had a root canal before and it was better than I expected. The 4th shot of the anesthetic burned for a few seconds which I had never experienced before, but it was over quickly. There was a little bit of pain when the root was being filled because they had to push down hard to pack it well, but it wasn’t bad at all. If I had to get a root canal again this is where I would go. They absolutely know what they’re doing! Highly recommended!!! Everyone was wonderful! The whole office is very welcoming and friendly. Excellent office! Dr. Block is very professional and did my surgery really quick. My root canal surgery is done within one hour. I didn't feel any pain after and has recovered quickly. They also provide very detailed post-surgery documents for me to follow and is very helpful to me. I was on vacation and unfortunately I fractured a tooth. My dentist recommended Dr. Block for root canal treatment upon my return home. I couldn’t be more pleased with Dr. Block’s work! I didn’t feel a thing. He was fast, efficient and explained each step of the procedure along the way. Marissa is an excellent dental assistant, also. I need to give recognition to the front office. I had a root canal treatment with Dr. Block a few days ago. All the staff are very friendly, specially Heidi helped me a lot from the start (making an appointment, consulting tooth problem, etc) and listened to my tooth pain with an empathy. Even though, I was nervous at the beginning, Dr. Block and Marissa made the whole procedure smooth and I felt comfortable during the root canal treatment. Dr.Block is kind and professional. I had my first root canal procedure with Dr. Booth over fifteen years ago and I came back to him for my second root canal. The staff, and Dr. Booth, are first class. I would go back to Dr. Booth and his outstanding staff for any other oral surgery I needed.

Dr. Block is an excellent Endodontist. This is my 4th root canal and i have had a great experience with all 4 and no problems with any of them after the root canals have been done. Also, this is a very friendly office and I enjoy going there even though when I arrive I am in pain but when I leave I am not!!!

Root canals are never fun. DR Block is a excellent dentist he was gentle and let me know what was going to happen next. His staff was friendly and practices Covid.

The last root canal I had was 15 yrs ago by Dr. Block and it was painless. It was a great experience. So much so that when I recently needed another root canal I only wanted to go back to him. So happy he is still in practice. It was a wonderful experience again. He and his staff are amazing and work well together. I will tell everyone I know about him and not to fear this procedure. He said go to the emergency room , I was two blocks from his office and I was chocking. Worst office staff ever. No compassion. I had a root canal on an upper molar. At the end Dr Block gave me a shot of novocane on the inside of my mouth so I would not feell pain after.. My mouth go very swolen and I was just around the corner and I started chocking. and I couldn't breathe because roof of my mouth was swolen. I called his office and Heidi his manager, the dr was at lunch. She DIDN'T CALL HIM AND FIND OUT WHAT TO DO. . SHE TOLD ME TO GO HOME AND TAKE MY PAIN MEDS. i asked her to cm back to the office and she said NO. . I paid $2500. for this treatment and I was chocking. I called and spoke to Dr Block and told him, he said Carolyn If your chocking GO TO THE EMERGENCY ROOM..TERRIBLE PEOPLE. . I WAS 2 BLOCKS AWAY AND HE IS A DOCTOR. HE DID NOT TRY TO HELP AT All. Dr. Gordon completed the root canal procedure smoothly and timely. Through the process he informed me of each step and any discomfort I would feel. I had a better experience compared to my past ones in a different geographic location. Marissa who was assisting the doctor was also very kind and welcoming through my entire visit. This was honestly a great experience, odd to say when getting a root canal I know! Still Hollenbeck Endodontics went above and beyond for me. I had a cavity filled 4 times with each time the pain was progressively worse than before. My dentist called Dr. Gordon Block's office and Heidi at the front desk helped me get started with no problem. This was an emergency procedure that all people necessary to help me were required to stay and work overtime. They even canceled someone else's appointment to squeeze me in. Dr. Block informed me that he would only perform a root canal if I needed it, which I did. They explained to me the procedure a layman's terms so I could somewhat understand prior to the work being done. Dr.. Block's assistant (her name starts with an M but i forget her name, i feel awful! ) was exceptional, extremely well learned in her profession. The entire procedure was literally painless except for a small initial sting of a special numbing device, nothing bad at all. After that I felt absolutely no sting from any injection whatsoever. The actual procedure was incredible. The amount of work they do blew my mind. So many tools switching out, and the speed they performed this work, wow! Honestly it was so stress free compared to the 4 cavity fillings, that I literally could have taken a nap if it had been quieter. I was seriously relaxed through this. I can't say enough how much i appreciated their expertise and professionalism. I get very nervous going into dental procedures. I would be all smiles if i ever need to come back. Dr. Block is wonderful. I had 2 experiences with Dr. Block and his staff within 5 days. I arrived at his office on a Wednesday morning, x-ray that showed I would most likely need a root canal. My tooth was in constant pain. His staff was very easy to work with and got me in for an emergency appointment at the end of the day. That appointment got me to a point where the pain was.... gone. The next appointment was for the following Monday to do the actual root canal. I'll admit I'm normally a bit nervous when I go to the dentist, but the fact I was in pain and it was an emergency during Covid-19 no less, the experience was very nice. Dr. Block and I talked a bit before he started and while I might not have fallen asleep during the procedure, I felt I was seeing just about the best person I could have. Dr. Block is amazing as is his entire medical and administrative staff. Sadly I have had four root canals in my life but was lucky that all four were performed by him personally. He put me at ease and walked me through the process each time and while it was years between each procedure he always seemed to remember me and the nuances of my teeth. I wouldn’t go to anyone else for this type of procedure. Dental work always makes me anxious but I had the best experience here. I was referred by the VA because I needed specialized treatment that the VA could not accommodate. This office was so friendly. The Dr. was efficient, thoughtful, and confident in his ability. He let me know what he was doing each step of the way. This helped me to feel calm. Hoping the VA refers me to this office again for future treatment. The office is a small and personable and has a sweet family feel. Front desk staff George and Heidi were very friendly, clean and helpful. I Was nervous about getting a root canal but Marissa and Dr. Block put me at ease and made me feel comfortable. The procedure was over before I knew it and there was no pain. Highly recommend Dr. Block and his team.

Dr. Block is nice enough but his staff needs to learn to support patients who are fearful. I took the prescribed medication required for me to arrive in a relaxed state and ready to get my work done which was a revisit to fix the extreme pain I was still in from the last work Dr. Block had done on my mouth. When I called to explain we would be a bit late, his secretary cajoled me and tried to cancel the appointment causing me to collapse in tears at the thought of another day in such extreme pain. After an upsetting call where this woman hung up on me, we were called back and told we could come in after all now 'that everyone had calmed down.' I went to this appointment in fear but fully willing and trying to make their job easier by explaining my problems yet was still made to be even more fearful by the staff. Ultimately was not even happy with the outcome and work done because no apology was given for this staff member causing such turmoil. I would not recommend for anyone that has any fear whatsoever of dental work. They could make that fear much, much worse.

Amazing and friendly staff, the most gentle DDS I've ever been to. Needed an emergency root canal after breaking a tooth during this Covid-19 outbreak. I felt completely safe from the moment they opened the door and took all the necessary precautions. As for the service, not that novocaine injections hurt, more of a pinch really...but Dr. Blocks ability to inject was nothing short of miraculous. I literally didn't feel anything, it was surprisingly odd. Not sure if he has 'special' topical numbing vs the countless others I've been to though I suspect no, he simply cares enough to take his time. Not only that, I almost always have to have my dentists do a 2nd injection because their 1st isn't enough. Not here...one round and I was good to go. Another important thing to note, the Doctor and his assistant don't chit-chat back and fourth the whole time, slowing things down, or even messing things up! Between the receptionist, the assistant and the Doctor, I give this place an A+++ I happened to find them from a Google Search since my dentist was closed. I've gone into Dr.Block's office twice for root canals and each time with little to zero discomfort. This is coming from someone with a high degree of anxiety about getting needles and drills put into their mouth - Dr.Block and all of the staff here are amazing at helping me to feel comfortable in this setting.

The front office staff will talk you down, will make sure you sit next to the lavender oil diffuser, and will cheer for you when you’re done. My tooth ache started Friday night, and was getting progressively worse. I suffered through the weekend and started looking for an endodontist on Monday to find the first available doctor who can see me. It wasn’t that easy because we were coming on a long Labor Day weekend. When I called Dr. Block’s office, I spoke with a very nice office manager, the only one who asked me about my pain and who suggested me to take three Advils for pain and also said that she would schedule an appointment after the long weekend, But will keep me in mind and call if something frees up. She called me on Thursday around 1 PM and said that there is an appointment at 3:30 the same day because the doctor didn’t want to keep me hanging with pain over the long weekend. When I came to the office I was met by a very friendly and helpful staff. Dr. Block diagnosed that I needed a root canal and the whole procedure was so painless I believe, teeth Cleaning at another doctor was more painful than my root canal. I had to get a root canal, and Dr. Block was referred by my regular dentist. Dr. Block did a superb job. This wasn't my first root canal, but I found the procedure this time to be seamless. Dr. Block is a consummate professional, and explained in detail what he was doing every step of the way. I found the staff to be superb.

I have had two root canals done by Dr. Block. Both were absolutely painless and a success. To think I was so worried about the procedure, when really, it was a quick and easy process. Just a variety of interesting sounds and vibrations, but zero pain or discomfort. Dr. Block will patiently explain everything he’s doing. He is so careful and precise every step of the way. Dr.Block is an artist of dentistry! This is my second visit for a new root canal and the work was done efficiently; as a patient that is all I could ask for. In addition to being efficient, the root canal was painless.I highly recommend Dr. Block! The office manager Heidi is a great person: friendly, attentive and professional. Marissa assisted during my root canal, and she was just as friendly and nice, and made me feel very relaxed and comfy the entire procedure.
