Dr. Gordon Troy Birk

Gordon Birk had a tree cut down and left it laying on my property. He has been asked to have it cleaned up but nothing has been done. Been waiting since June 26th, 2018. I’m not sure that I’d trust a surgeon with this little of integrity.

HORRIBLE. He and his staff had a great time at my expense. Made fun of me often and after surgery left one leg shorter than the other. It was a hip replacement so he decided to do the other hip to even me out. It didn’t work and I will NEVER be the same.

I started going to Dr Birk after I found out I needed total hip replacement surgery. He knew I did not want to have the surgery so he did his best to help me with my pain by giving me a steroid injection. It lasted a couple of months then I was right back where I started with the pain. I then decided to go ahead with the replacement surgery and had it at Jefferson Regional Medical Center (JRMC) on July 9, 2019. It was the absolute best stay ever! Surgery went well and I even ate my hospital food. From my doctor all the way to housekeeping (Ms Karen) were AWESOME!!! I stayed there for 3 nights and I have not one complaint. When I was hurting the nurse would call Dr Birk's office and they would get back to the nurse immediately! I am doing so well now and my surgery is only 3 months old! Thanks Dr Birk and Staff... Absolutely intelligent knowledgeable and a caring physician. Explains everything clearly and always more then willing to answer any questions you may have no matter how significant or not.

He done 10 surgeries on me and I don't have a knee are knee replacement and I can't get one my leg is fused now 1 leg is 1 inch shorter than the other and I wear a orthopedic shoe. Don't use him.

He amputated my close relative's leg without exhausting other means of saving the leg. Now, this relative is suicidal.

Awful! Does not have his mind straight when doing surgeries! Left me with a bad knee period!

Referred to Dr. Birk by my primary care dr. Broken bone in right foot. EXCELLENT care, and follow up. Procedure explained thoroughly prior to surgery. Highly recommend Dr. Birk for anyone needing an orthopaedic surgeon. His staff is professional and personable and very helpful.

Dr. Birk is a caring and competent physician. I had two knee replacements in 2015, and he did both. I am extremely pleased with the outcome. I would highly recommend Dr. Birk!
