Dr. Glenn C Douglas

Dr. Douglas took time to understand my full, complex, history. The notes I can see in my chart surprised me - most doctors skim or skip elements of my history but his were very detailed. We don’t have a diagnosis yet but he is exploring several possibilities and made me feel that he actually wants to help me figure it out, which can be difficult to find when most doctors churn through patients so quickly. Grateful for his candor, willingness to listen and expertise.

My husband suffers greatly with his joints swelling and they could have cared less. They did blood work and after repeated calls asking for results all we got was the run around telling us the results haven’t came in yet. I got a run around from this clinic from day 1! Appointments being rescheduled for no reason , disregarding my red flagged RA factor , and not picking up on a telemedicine appt. The office called me to inform me that I could not keep an appointment after a 14 day quarantine period ( Covid related). I have had the run around from this group ... long enough !!! Moving on to a qualified doctor that truly cares about his or her patients !

Dr. Glenn Douglas has an excellent compassion for his patients, and ALL of the workers in his office are very kind and treat patients with respect. He has the greatest nurse too!!

Dr Douglas is a very smart doc who is polite an listens very well. He does not rush his patients. He is also willing to let fibro patients try new meds. He has empathy for his patients. He cares.

Dr. Douglas is one of my favorite doctors if not my very favorite doctor. He takes the time to listen. I don't feel rushed. You can tell he cares. He is extremely knowledgeable. I highly recommend Dr. Douglas.

He is wonderful & Might of figured out what is wrong with me PLUS His Nurse is Incredible...the Whole office is. Women at front desk makes me smile. Women who took my blood fantastic for taking in tiny veins, did not even feel it. Unlike my other Vandy doctors at 100 oaks Nashville email them what Dr Douglas found and no answer back. Leaving me know knowing what to do or whom to turn to.

This quack deserves ZERO stars. My wife had a 10 year history of lupus and other autoimmune diseases and this clown couldn't get past her weight, attributing every bit of her pain and discomfort to her size while ignoring the fact that part of her weight gain was due to her prescription steroid. Fourtunately we found a qualified, caring rheumatologist in Nashville who treats her symptoms and not her weight and my wife is doing better. Dr. Douglas should not be practicing medicine. This quack deserves ZERO stars. Dr. Douglas is a very caring and compassionate doctor. He is a teacher and a diagnostician. He is very personable and gentle. He listens and thinks through what the patient is saying as he types. As a nurse I have worked with hundreds of doctors, across a broad range of specialties. Glenn Douglas is one of the top three doctors I have ever been to. I do not believe some of the reviews written here are even possible to have happened.

I visited Dr. Douglas with my baby in tow. He suggested I take OTC pain medications for my joint pain. I told him that I would prefer to avoid medication while breastfeeding, which he then took 15 minutes to tell me why breastfeeding a child over 6 months no longer benefits the baby. I was very put off by his willingness to tell me his views of breastfeeding and why I should no longer continue. I had come to him regarding joint pain, not for breastfeeding advice.

Dr Douglas told me to ignore my elevated lab work. I scheduled an appointment with rheumatologist in Memphis and was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis on the second visit and additional lab work. Go somewhere else.....anywhere else!! This doctor is a joke!!

This jerk blamed my pain on anxiety, but at no time advised me to seek psych care. This went on for YEARS. Once, instead of ordering a test, he told me to "call a hospital" and order it myself. I'm still not sure how that was supposed to work, he refused to explain, and I never got the test. His office staff was extremely unprofessional, and on more than one occasion, accused me of doctor shopping and being a drug addict. A competent doc later diagnosed me with a neurological disorder.

After paying my specialist fee, I waited for an hour and 10 minutes for Doctor Douglas. I finally had to leave and never saw the doctor. He may be a great doctor, but he's got a problem with scheduling or patient flow or both. The waiting room emptied out several time while I was waiting (there are a number of doctors in that office) with most patients not having but a few minutes to wait. It was not a staff problem. The entire team at Dr. Douglas' office was wonderful! Yay!

Dr. Douglas is one of the best doctors I've ever seen. He is thorough, attentive, and caring. I'm so fortunate to have him as my rheumatologist. Excellent, excellent, excellent!!

GREAT Rheum who listens and has a great personality.

He is an excellent physician. I have been a patient for ten years, and can not imagine being treated by another Rheumatologist.
