George A. Parker

Dr. George Parker is one of the most caring surgeon doctors I personally have ever had. Dr. Parker was recommended to me by my primary doctor. When I went to see him I had just had a gallbladder attack. Dr. George Parker made me feel like I was his only patient that day. I felt 150% safe with him as my surgeon when I left his office. From the front office at St. Mary’s to the sonogram area to the outpatient surgery room even the co pay people everyone said oh you have Dr. Parker we love Dr. Parker he is excellent and such a caring doctor! I only met with him once two days before my surgery last Thursday but he remembered everything I told him two days prior and he didn’t have to read his notes. Another blessing is Dr. George Parker’s staff. From my appointment to my FMLA paperwork to my insurance to my questions before and after surgery to my medication they all deserve five stars! When I had a question and I used the portal they always called me back in less then ten minutes. Every single person in Dr. Parker’s group are hero’s I would sum up Dr. Parker and his partners and nurses and receptionists as the Disney World of All surgeon offices I have ever been to! Dr. Parker’s LPN Tameka Wright was the BEST LPN I at fifty-three have ever had! Tameka truly cared about me, my job and my health. It was such a great experience with everyone in Dr. Parker’s group. Alvita Barley was also amazing getting instantly back to me after I sent a message in the portal! Erin Brown NP called me right away when I asked another question in the portal after surgery. My surgery went great my incisions look like a plastic surgeon did them and my recovery has been well managed. I highly recommend Dr. George Parker his bedside manner is something I will never forget and obviously that spreads down to everyone in that office because I truly did NOT feel like just a number I felt like a family member. Of course I highly recommend him because he has been a top surgeon for over forty years too but bedside manner is a lost art now a days it really makes a difference when you know someone truly cares about you! You have the best surgeon in the United States if you are reading this for reviews on Dr. George Parker! Dr. Parker handled my wife’s thyroidectomy. I really can’t put into words how great of a person this man is. He’s an asset to his profession.

Dr. Parker is a brilliant surgeon. He has such a laid back manner that makes you feel like you are just visiting with an old friend. You never feel rushed and he honestly listens to you and then tackles the problem. Extremely knowledgeable. No unnecessary medications prescribed. Has no problems making precise decisions. I'll return if the need arises! A great asset to Bon Secours staff!

My wife had two surgeries with Dr. Parker. He is those doctors that “should never be allowed to retire”...he’s that good. Skills, instincts and manner.

Best surgeon I ever had! Dr. George Parker is a one if a kind surgeon! He not only has being doing surgery for over forty years but his beside manner is what makes him unforgettable! You can tell he honestly cares about every person he performs surgery on. From pre admin to sonogram to insurance to admission everyone said oh you have Dr. Parker? You have the best doctor ever we all love Dr. Parker here at St. Mary’s! I just had my gallbladder taken out but it was done with perfection and care! His whole practice is available for you 24/7 they are the nicest people, nurses, LPNs and nurse practitioners that I have ever met!

Outstanding physician with top skills. Also has the bedside manner lacking in many other surgeons. He takes the time to really talk with patients and always listens!

Dr. Galpern at Bon Secour General Surgery at St. Mary's is the best doctor. He explains things to you in a way you can understand and spends an appropriate amount of time with you. I would highly recommend Dr. Galpern. He is also very knowledgeable about the conditions he treats.

Would highly recommend Dr.Parker. His expertise is superb, and his "bedside manner" is beyond compare.

I would highly recommend Dr. Parker. I have been a patient of Dr. Parker's since 2007. He is an excellent listener and very knowledgeable. He is a very patient and professional person. He takes the time needed to explain your situation and included you and your family in the decision making process. I truly trust his judgement. He is a one of a kind doctor and I wouldn't trade him for the world.
