Dr. Hariz performed emergency surgery on me for an intestinal blockage and loops of my intestines coming through a peristomal hernia. He listens to his patients and is not threatened by questions or patient concerns. He is honest about his experience in different areas of surgery, which is unusual. I highly recommend him and his staff to you. He respects his patients.

Well let’s see how this goes. While getting the referral transferred and getting an appointment the office staff was brutal asking me if I wanted him to be treated I had to call the insurance and get the referral faxed again, when I asked about Maritza receiving the documents and the Tricare rep talking directly with her, the receptionist stated that surely was in their system but she didn’t know if would have time to look into it. Just when I point it out that I would hold her accountable for his demise the referral magically was located and he was scheduled for today. He can barely walk, and Maritza instead of being compassionate and stand up from her chair and come around to check him in, asked him to move to the window- he can barely walk. There was no one else to be checked in Waiting for the doctor evaluation… I’m just praying for him to be the opposite of his staff. Well let’s see how this goes. Dr. Hariz is an amazingly kind and compassionate surgeon. I was admitted to the hospital through emergency with a bowel obstruction. After several days of excruciating pain in the hospital, Dr. Hariz came in and found the issue, and did my surgery and I finally had some relief..Even when I was having issues after going home, he was always a phone call away..always treating me with kindness. He genuinely cares for his patients. I would highly recommend Dr. Hariz.. In addition, his office staff are very professional, courteous, and friendly. The office staff is terrible ... I will not go back! It’s a shame I really like the doctor. They all need customer service lessons. I have a choice I am a human. I will not be treated like cash cow by the office staff. Don’t bother going to the office manger I think she teaches them to be that way.. it is a shame. doctor has blessed hands. Had a cyst removed on back. Never felt pain or had complications during healing process. I thank my primary doctor for recommending him.

I have nothing but good things to say. From my first app to finally my last follow up the personnel and especially DR Hariz have been the best. Polite service, cheery attitude and very honest and upfront. I would definitely recommend to my family if ever a need arises.

WOW is how I would describe my FIRST VISIT to see Dr. HARIZ, Vascular Surgeon. I thought this would be like any other medical appt.---go in, get rushed through, and the standard 'hello' and 'goodbye' but this was nothing like that---it was truly a WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE that will be with me as a MEMORABLE VISIT to a doctor for a long time. This was ONE of the BEST experiences that I have encountered in my 65+ years of medical appointments. Years ago, I worked in the medical field (U.S. Military) and know how important patient treatment and care (bedside manner) are to many folks who might be scared or hesitant in seeing a doctor. The STAFF (Maritza & Mary) were QUITE REMARKABLE----they were so kind and respectful, and they assisted with any question or concern I had---they were the ONES that MADE ME FEEL LIKE I REALLY MATTERED---they set the stage for furthering this GREAT experience by putting me AT EASE. What a GREAT TEAM!!! As I sat in their waiting room (brief wait), their care and concern was evident with all other patients who were there to see the doctor. While in the treatment room, before seeing the doctor, Mary not only took the time to get all pertinent medical info from my past, she also spent a brief moment getting to know me (great method and practice)---this put me further at ease as I waited for my first meeting with Dr. Hariz. Then, it was time to meet with Dr. Hariz----he took the time to see how I was doing, examined me with great care, and then gave directions of what he needed from his Med. Asst. Then, the service provided by David, Med Asst. as he diligently accomplished the task of completing the Doppler Exam ordered by Dr. Hariz. His care and concern were equal to that of the STAFF that I listed above. Even though I was in much pain in my leg, he took the time to make ensure that I was not experiencing further pain. Finally, I met with DR. HARIZ once again---the truth is he had the absolute BEST and EXCEPTIONAL 'bedside manner' of any physician I have ever dealt with in my life (Med. Office or a Hospital). Dr. Hariz showed his concern for my health and spent time explaining in simple medical language what I had and what was needed (diagnosis)---he was not rushed and answered all of my questions. Honestly, Dr. Hariz is the BEST EVER---he and his GREAT STAFF have made sure that I was taken care of with 110% efficiency, effectiveness, care, and concern to make sure that I would be okay. It almost felt like I was part of a very caring family. I was AMAZED at everything they got done in a short amount of time (No Time Wasted) and how they went about doing this with exceptional professionalism, speed, accuracy, and patient care. THIS IS AN EXPERIENCE THAT I WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER AS THE BEST EVER. If ALL doctors and their STAFF took the time to treat their patients in the same fashion and used the same WONDERFUL METHODS of dealing with patients as Dr. Hariz and his staff showed and accomplished, many folks (patients) would be glad to see their doctor for whatever reason. Dr Hariz did Apendix surgery on my wife. She recovered quickly and thank God for Dr Hariz skill and knowledge we are thankful. I recommend him to all my friends. Thank you and God bless.

Dr. Hariz make you feel like family, he and staff is very professional. He doesn't cut any corner when advising you on your issues at hand. He is straight forward and honest. I would advise you to see him. Thanks Dr. Hariz for taking care of me.

This was an aweful experience. I had gallstones and in pain, I went in on monday and was told to eat clear liquids and wait for staff to verify ins and approval to remove my gallbladder and that it wouldn't take long. I followed up on tues and was told someone would call me back shortly and no one did.. By Wednesday no one had called me yet. I called back and was told they don't do that until Thursday due to being in clinic the other days and proceeded to inform me "dont know why no one told you but Dr Hariz will be out of town anyway". The soonest they would put me on was Aug. 8th!! 2 weeks out. When i asked what I do until then they said the Dr. Said to go back to E.R. I went to a diff hospital and saw Dr. Makohon on Thursday, she took it out on the next morning. Wish i wouldnt of wasted my time with this office, couldve saved my self 4 days of pain. Horrible experience with this office. I scheduled an appointment two weeks out. I drive 40 minutes to see the doctor, and when I call to get specific location details, the office staff tells me the doctor is not in. They claimed someone spoke with me and rescheduled my appointment for 9:30 that morning. (100% NOT the case!) In fact, they never even called to confirm. The office staff was extremely rude and had no costumer service skills. Quote: "I don't know how far you drove." They said I could come back at 1:00pm. (No, I cannot, as I have a job to attend.) I have no problem with Dr. Hariz. He is a very nice man, but his staff? Oh that is something all together different. I have been trying to speak with Dr. Hariz as per his instructions to me. After 8 days of trying every day to speak with him I give up. Now all I want to do is get my blood test results. I am told that they still don't have them. So I simply called the hospital and after they informed me that they were probably sent that very next day. They then resent them. This took me no more than 5 minutes. This was also the Dr.''s office's job. I call the Dr. office and told them to check their fax. She then said that now that they have the results the Dr. would have to review them and they would call me later today with my results. So once again the Dr. is good but he needs new people there with him because his current staff is making him look bad! I have no problem with Dr. Hariz. He is a very nice man, but his staff? Doctor took his time to answer all of my questions about surgery and put me at ease. Did have to wait a couple of weeks to see the doctor as my issue was non-emergency. This makes sense as I understand that I would want to be seen immediately if I did have a surgery therefore I need to wait when I don't have an emergency.

On March 7, 2017 I was admitted to Baylor Scott & White - Sunnyvale with a serious infection. The ER doctor lanced the abcess and then requested a consult with Dr Hariz to see if further surgery was required. Dr Hariz was one of the best apsects of my hospital stay. He clearly actually cares about patients. I could always count on him to be there when he said he would, and he even checked on me on his scheduled day off. I would highly recommend him, and would call on him again myself.

Dr. Hariz is an excellent dr. He has a great bedside manner and makes sure his patients understand all. Im not fond of most drs., but I have full faith in Dr. Hariz and would recommend him.

On Dec. 12, 2016 dr. Hariz operated a posterior scalp mass. My primarily care doctor,dr.Paul Smelter recommended me to dr. Hariz. He explained everything very well to me, his care and his staff gave me confidence that I was going to be in good hands. After surgery he called me twice to see how I was recovery. I've seen the love and devotion of his profession. I highly recommend him, his staff and the hospital Baylor in Sunnyvale. Thank you Norma Montalvo

I will never call his office they don't know customer care at all they way they talk with you is so rude, they don't know there job so the docter must be the same cause he hired these cheap staff..

Dr. Hariz and his staff are very kind and accommodating! He took the time to explain my diagnosis and went above and beyond with my treatment. Thank you Dr. Hariz and staff!!
