He is a wonderful doctor and I felt very comfortable with him. I had a unique problem with food staying in my throat and well choking me. I had dealt with this for years and was brushed off several times in another state with other MD's including both gastric and ENT's till Dr. Block. He was absolutely wonderful from start to finish. I was in need of an esophageal dilation to correct this horrible problem. Extremely grateful to have had him there, to not only to diagnose my problem but to preform the procedures.

My husband was seeing a dr there. I asked on the 11th off Feb while in their office can i get established with them. The front desk said will let the coordinator know, never heard back. Just called them 9Mar advising then I’ve been having issues and need to see a dr. Was told due to the fact my dr didn’t refer them i can’t see anyone there. Even though my dr requested a STAT ct scan today which i can’t get till Thu thru desert advanced imaging Now not sure i want them as my dr offc. This Doctor was awesome very kind and patient with my elderly mother in law

Dr Block is a brilliant doctor. We had the pleasure of his treating my husband for hemochromatosis when he was located in Pittsburgh. Dr. Block is very knowledgeable, and we highly recommend him.

Dr. Block was able to explain collagenous colitis directly, simply, and compassionately. He always answered my numerous questions with humor and a smile. Sadly, he is no longer at Eisenhower. (And that office refuses to make an appt with a different doctor without a referral from a primary - I didn't need that before.)

Dr Block is one of the most qualified doctors I have had the pleasure of working with. His time and patience are immeasurable. He has performed several procedures on me and each time I felt that I had the best doctor. He has spent a lot of time and will go far in trying to get you well or improve your life. He is a super doctor with the background to back it up. His endoscopy procedures are the best. He is a doctor that a patient can completely trust.

His office sat on a referral for over 1 month. When I called to schedule my 1st appointment I was told the doctor "didn't want to see me" with absolutely NO bedside manners - not even the normal "not accepting new patients" line. WOW, well if thats how your staff treats its patients then thank you.

Dr. Block performed a very complex procedure on me. The exam and procedure went flawlessly. I left the hospital without any discomfort or pain. He is academic and on top of the latest medical procedures including MRI follow-up for this condition.

Dr. Block is a highly skilled Physician of Gastroenterology. You will not find a more knowledgeable or caring medical professional. Schedule him with confidence that you have selected the best. Do not be dissuaded by the pitfalls of the Eisenhower Administrative System.

Excellent experience and care provided. I am sure, as are my family, friends and work associates who see Dr. Block, the recent negative comment by another entry concerning Dr. Block is a total fake.

Went to Dr Block for a colonoscopy and subsequent complications. I found Dr Block to be more pre-occupied with his status in the Dr community at Eisenhower and less concerned about my hospitalization and follow up. And let me be clear - these complications were a result of his negligence. I would not recommend Dr Block at all. I had a terrible experience with him. There are many fine Gastroenterologists in the desert who would have spent more time with me and worked to resolve the issues

Dr. Block is an excellent GI specialist. I have a complicated problem that he is working on (several other GI doc's have had no success). He has spent more time with me than I could reasonably expect; his staff is friendly and professional; wait time for an appointment is somewhat lengthy but their "wait list" seems to work well in speeding things up. This man saved my mothers life. She was visiting Palm Desert when she had excruciating pain. She went to Eisenhower's ER and the next day Dr. Block performed EUS. Her condition had gone undiagnosed for possibly years. Her Bile duct and liver had numerous stones that were blocking her duct. These organs were infected along with her blood and she was going into septic shock. She wouldn't of made it 24 more hours. So, a big shout out to Dr. Block and God for orchestrating all the details :-)

Dr. Block is the best Dr. He was my Mother angle who kept my Mother alive for me and my brothr's and sister's to enjoy a littler longer. My Mother had a very sick Liver. Dr Block has the hands of God. I miss you very miss in Pittsburgh PA. From E.S. I highly recommend him.
