Amazing Physician. Super caring and explains all the processes and treatments/medicines. Can always reach out to him even on weekends and he is always there to support me and my family.

Dr. Zitser is a Great doctor ! He's very understanding and listens to your concerns , very patient . I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a specialist ..

I had to go to this doctor as my wife had tremors to her right side leg and hand he quickly diagonised her problem prescribed treatment and she felt great relief before we went to another neurologist who spent 3 months with no treatment .Thank you dr. Zitser. Here staff is nice and helpul.

Never call them , they won’t answer. No professionalism at all except Doctor Gene Itself. He needs to fire all his staff.

Never ever!!!! I’m saying it again never ever bother calling them , they won’t pick up your call. Doctor’s staff is literally playing with patient’s life. Gotta be careful before going there.

He is extremely knowledgeable in his field. There is a long wait time but worth it. That’s it.

Be prepared to wait on hold for 10 minutes or more when attempting to make an appointment. Also, be prepared to be disconnected while waiting on hold. I had to call back 4 times before someone answered the phone. They disconnected / hung up on me 3 times in one day. Time to find a new doctor.

very terrible office and professionalism. My mom was a patient here for one they did not give her the full results the doctor claim it was on the upstairs computer and he was not going to go up for it now when I call to take her for a second opinion they respond by saying systems were hacked all patient records were lost

April 2019 woke up feeling stiffness in my arms and legs and had no idea what it was. This was all after I had a stomach infection and visited the Jamaica Hospital in NYC. The rushed and treated me and sent me out, A week after started feeling sick with pain in my arms and legs. Went out and purchased some new pillows and beg but no changes. Within the span of 3 weeks I weak to the point where I was unable to open a bottle of water. I was so weak I fell off the stairs but was fighting it. I had no clue what was happing and went to see my Doc who then referred me to a neurologist who then sent to do an MRI to discovered that I had 6 damaged discs. He prescribed some medications but did not help. One wake later I found a 2nd neurologist who found the problem. I was scared when he did the EMG test and said "wost than I thought" Long story short Dr. Gene Z saved my life and send me to the ER at North Shore LIG and he did send some paperwork. The Docs overt there reviewed the paperwork and took me up to the ER, they did a spinal tap and confirmed my sickness was GBS. I’m giving it 1 start cause I can’t give anything less. Do yourself a favor and not go to this doctor for anything. Extremely unprofessional doctor and nurse staff. The doctor seemed uninterested in hearing anything I was saying, kept sighing yawning and for some reason seemed to be in a rush. Literally was gesturing with his hands that I speak faster. The doctor is supposed to make the patient feel comfortable and their attitude should make the patient feel better not worse than they felt before. Dr. Gene Zitser saved my life! Doctor Gene and his entire staff was extremely helpful in diagnosing my sickness and continuing treating it. My illness was not the easiest to diagnose. I have visited two other neurologist prior to going to Dr.Zitser office and both had failed to find the problem. My very first visit at Dr. Gene office he found the problem. He did this by a series of test and asking a host of questions and he put them together and found the problem. At the I was scared but I knew I was in good hands because of his expertise and knowledge of this rare illness. I am very lucky and thankful to Dr. Zitser and his amazing team for providing world class service and treatment. I would highly recommend Dr Zitser to anyone who is in need of a good Doctor. I have visited many doctors and some are there to help and some are there for the money but Dr. Zitser demonstrated professionalism during my visits and took his time with me and shown compassion and find all ways to help. The Doctor was extremely informative and took his time explaining everything I needed to know. The wait was a bit long, but that explains it...he doesn't treat people like cattle like some other doctors we all had to deal with. In addition, I needed a separate test other than the MRI he ordered, and normally he said he would do that on the second visit, but because I drove from Suffolk County to see him in Queens, he said he will save me the trip and a separate co-pay and will stay a bit longer (even though I was last appointment) to get it done. Religious material all over the office with lack of variation made me a bit uncomfortable. I left messages with the doctor on multiple occasions and I have never received a call back. Sadly, after I took the MRI it was impossible getting follow up care, and there was no referral for further testing... I was told to call any hospital to schedule further testing. I also waited a month to be told I don't need authorization for testing... I had to call them BTW, they didn't reach out to me. The ladies at the front are sweet but the disorganization is unbearable. Don't ignore low star ratings, they are there for a reason. Excuse my unfocused rant... One of the most compassionate and knowledgeable Neurologists I have been to. Botox is incredible and so is Dr. Zitzer.

Dr. Zitser is a professional, knowledgeable, and a caring clinician to patients and their interest. A rarity to find in today’s healthcare. He takes the time to explain options thoroughly and welcomes any question I have for him.

My sister goes to Dr.Zitser and recommended him to me when I was having terrible pain in my upper back and neck, I had already been to a neurologist and he said I just pulled a muscle working out & I was still in terrible pain. I have pulled muscles before and I didn't think this was a pulled muscle so after another month & a half of this pain I went to see Dr.Zitser, after a couple of xrays & an MRI I was told that there was a pinched nerve. He told me what you do to relieve some of the pain & with some phys. therapy and gabapentin (helps with nerve pain) I was a new man. Thank you Dr.Zitser for listening & helping me. The doctor charges you $275 for the first visit even if you have insurance and than he charges you $175 for the second visit. I visited that location on February, I called my insurance today May 25 to discuss my deductible and turns out my insurance shows I only paid $98 for the first visit and $54 for the second. i was only supposed to pay that amount and not $400 dollars. When the insurance Called them first they acted like that's not the case but they will look into it with the doctor and call me back with in one week. They did give me my money back the same day but the point is had I never called I would have never knew that they owe me money. Don't trust this office or the Doctor. My first visit with him was "you need a Botox for you headaches " he didn't offer to do an MRI or anything before providing a solution. He wanted me to do Botox because that's how he makes his money. And not with this situation I am sure this "doctor" is only trying to rip people off. Please please do your own research, get second opinion before you do anything with him.
