I was referred to him by another Dr. I get to my visit. He never read the report from the referring doctor...never addressed the doctor's concern..he wants to give neck injections..it wasn't until the end of the visit and I'm walking out of the room and I bring it to his attention it's my back...then he stops glances of the report and then says he's sending me for a mri...I go to get the results of the mri.. .this man comes in the room and starts talking as if I read the report..mind you I am there for my results. The worse experience ever. This is why I refused to drive the cd to his office and wait come back for the results no maam..I will bring the cd with me on my visit...it's not like he's going to read it I was referred to him by another Dr. I get to my visit. I have had the very best experience with the most exceptional results from the most talented doctor I've known! The Miracle man Dr. Gene Salkind has preformed no one,, but two back surgeries! I was soo please I recommended my very own mother! It's no surprise to us we've experienced phenomenal results. A happier healthier more productive life was given back to me and my mother. Dr. Salkind repaired the work performed by three different back surgery's my 75 year old mother had done prior it took a miracle. I'm so pleased that she suffers with far less pain! Dr Bruno is no joke. I kept certain details quite about my injury. But he knew all about it by looking at the images where other doctors some how seemed to fail making any mention of these particular details. He also fought for me! He hopped right up on the horn and started making phone calls on my behalf. Dr Bruno tried to put me through to Gene Salkind, but my insurance doesn't cover Salkind :( I really need help. But i really want to give credit where credit is due and reciprocate when i see a good doctor. You are our true champions! p.s. i dont know why Dr Bruno Reviews are under Gene Salkind. Before I met Dr. Salkind I could not walk more than 3 minutes without my legs getting numb and unable to hold me up. Dr. Salkind did surgery on my lumbar spine. That day I could walk without numbness. Now I am back to dancing, hiking, and traveling. I will be forever grateful to him. Thank you and God bless you.

Great manner, super smart and makes it understandable

If you need spinal surgery, you will be in great hands with Dr. Salkind and Holy Redeemer. He is a great surgeon and very nice man.

Dr Saulkind performed an extensive lower back surgery on me October 28,2020. To say he is amazing falls short by any criteria one might use. He deserves a 10 star recommendation not only for his performance but the whole package that includes his nurse Tara and extends to his anesthesia team. I was referred by Dr. Bruno & PA Feba. I was not happy with his decisión but I understand as he made a decision in my best interest. I take this moment to apologize for my attitude on the day of my appointment. Dr. Salkind is very professional and did a thorough evaluation. I fully understand his decision. I trust him enough that I don't feel it is necessary for a second opinion as this is what he specializes in. He is an excellent neurological surgeon. I came to terms with his decision and although I am suffering in pain due to six herniated in ther cervical neck and six bulging disc in my lower lumbar, nerve impingement in my cervical neck and two in my lower lumbar due to a spinal bifida aculta I am not a candidate for surgery. The staff is very wonderful and professional.

Dr. Bruno first cared for my husband. He answered all of my questions in regards to husbands surgery. He was utmost compassionate, knowledgeable doctors we’ve met. When it was time for me as the patient, my level of standards are much higher which only few doctors can measure up. Thankfully, hands-down, Dr. Bruno not only qualified by my high standards but he went well above it. Dr Bruno took excellent care of me before, during and after my discectomy. I had 2 discs replaced in my neck. From my first meeting with him to my final appointment I had no doubt or fear. Everyone told me to seek a second opinion. Although I did not feel it necessary I did. The dr I met with just confirmed what I already knew....I selected the best doctor when I chose Dr Bruno. Surgery went smoothly. Relief as soon as I opened my eyes. I didn't even need the pain medication given. Dr Bruno thoroughly knows his field. I called Dr Salkind's office for a 2nd opinion. I was able to get a quick appointment, a thorough examination, which showed neurological deficits, and recommendation for surgery based on those deficits. My 1st opinion also recommended surgery but did not give me concrete reasons for doing so. I decided to have Dr. Salkind do the surgery and had immediate relief of the pain I had for 6 months and improvement in the deficits that were occurring due to the pressure on the nerve in my back. He is professional, thorough and certainly skilled in his field. Whether you are there as his patient or just as a seconded opinion he takes the time to give you his best recommendation. I absolutely LOVE Dr. Dallas nd! My daughter was his patient for a time for treatment of a compressed nerve following an auto accident. His bedside manner, his genuine caring and concern for me always came through at each encounter. I am facing spinal surgery but he will leave it up to me to decide when. Very professional and knowledgeable is he, as are his staff. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Gene Salkind was referred to me by Dr, John Mcphilemy a renowned sports orthopedic surgeon, operated on many NBA Players. I had surgery my Dr. Salkind back in December 2014 had a lamenectoly with a facet fusion which i did some pain not much Dr. Salkind is a very nice person he talks english meaning no big works but i was doing good told me he see me in oct unless i needed him well the problem is i called to move my appt up they say they haveno openings until end of September and they would have a nurse call me its been a week now and no call....on august 9 was on my way to vacation and a car smashed into my car now i have pain severe at times wanted to be checked make sure the impact didnt have something to do with my pain...all in all i still like both Dr.Salkind and Dr. Bruno I had surgery my Dr. Salkind back in December 2014 had a lamenectoly with a facet fusion which i did some pain not much Dr. Salkind is a very nice person he talks english meaning no big works but i was doing good told me he see me in oct … More

Dr. Salkind made me feel very confident about having the surgery (Laminectomy) that I was very fearful about. He explained the procedure a lot different than two other surgeons. The nurse who interviewed me was excellent and very caring.

Dr. Salkind is amazing! I have had a shunt placed by him and he was astounded me with his professionalism and care for patients. I have lived normally w/o a shunt until things went wrong in my body and Dr. Salkind had visited me twice at the hospital to see how I was doing. His office staff are also very prompt with any needs and have always been very courteous in addressing any questions or concerns. He has saved my life and I am forever grateful!

I had a discectomy in mid October. Dr Salkind performed the surgery. It took place at Holy Redeemer. I received instant pain relief from the proceedure in my arm, and shoulder areas. I continue to see improvement as time continues to go by. Dr Salkind did an outstanding job. I had heard he was "a really good surgeon" from my primary care physician who studied under him. This was a workers comp situation, and my primary care physician was not involved with the recommendation. So he had no motive to say so. All too often you hear the horror stories from this type of surgery. I couldn't believe how minimal the pain was. I needed no pain meds after surgery. I highly recommend Dr Salkind if you need a surgeon. Holy Redeemer was also outstanding! I had a discectomy in mid October. Dr Salkind performed the surgery. It took place at Holy Redeemer.
