Dr. Gary Mazzanti, M.D., is a quiet, unassuming Christian and family man, whose commitment to family, is exceeded only by his devotion to God. He is also one of the best wound care specialists in this part of the United States. Dr. Mazzanti is a pioneer in the use of hyperbaric therapy in the treatment of wounds, based upon the restorative power of the most powerful immunological substance–– Oxygen. He was actively using oxygen in the treatment of wounds, as part of a comprehensive, wound care/hyperbaric center, years before local hospitals. Most importantly, as a man of Faith, he has a sincere, innate and deep determination to help promote healing in each and everyone of his patients, with individualized treatment for each patient, through patient specific strategies, one patient at a time. If you have a wound that won't heal properly, go immediately to see Dr. Gary Mazzanti at Shreveport Hyperbaric & Wound Care Center. I am a health care professional who has suffered with an open wound for a year despite seeing several physicians and undergoing multiple rounds of antibiotics which did nothing to help. Then I went to see Dr. Mazzanti, who practices medicine the way it should be done in this day when the average doctor visit takes 7 minutes. He took plenty of time to listen and then diagnose and treat my specific problem. His care has been gentle and compassionate, and his staff of Misty, Susan, and Kat will make you feel like you are part of their family. I can't recommend him and his staff highly enough.

Dr. Mazzanti is a gentle, compassionate, learned physician. The difference between Dr. Mazzanti and every other doctor my husband and I have ever been patients of is that he truly listens. As sad as it is, listening is a more and more difficult quality to find in a doctor. Meeting him and receiving his care has been a bright light in our challenging health situation. Doctors of his personal character are few and far between. I recommend Dr. Gary Mazzanti wholeheartedly.
