Dr. Gary J. Horwitz

all went very well

I am no longer a patient of Doctor Gary Horwitz. Because of a misunderstanding on my part. I have seen Dr. Horwitz about 16 years and he has helped in so many ways mentally and physically. He brought me out of a extremely deep depression, that previous psychiatrists were unable to do. I owe a lot to Dr. Horwitz. I probably have more experience reviewing Doctor Horwitz, than most so, if you are struggling with a severe depression I strongly recommend seeing Doctor Gary!!!

A WARNING I selected one star because the site doesn't allow you to leave no stars. To be clear, my rating is no stars. I had heard before I met him, that he was not particularly engaged with the reason you needed support. But because I thought the world of my counselor and my psychiatrist had retired, I needed to give him a try. The first visit was great. He was caring and interested in all the reasons that made it difficult for me to stay sober. It was so different from what I had heard about him. But then, subsequent visits mirrored what I had been told. His sole focus was on medications. Did I think I needed a change. Well , sorry, I thought that was his job by talking with me about how life had been going. My only wish is that you find someone with expertise and compassion who can help you face the very tough challenges of addiction.

When I turned 50 I had serious health issues that forced me to quit my job that I loved. Shortly after I went into a deep depression that lasted two years, until I met Dr. Horwitz.Through his counseling and drug therapy he was able to give me my life back!! Not only do I think he is the best psychiatrists I have ever seen but his medical expertise has helped me understand a lot of medical afflictions. Information surgeons and medical doctors never took the time to explain. Richard Sippel 10/18
