Dr. Gary Max Deshazo

This Dr office is not very professional.I have been a patient for six years. I can no longer reach the Dr by phone, I have been trying to get in touch with this office for two weeks they have an answering a chine by which I have left at least five messages. What happened to Dr.Deshazk?

Excellent service. Answered all my questions. Would like to see a list of all the Doctors that are also associated with the Safe Harbor Medical Las Vegas.

I was in the office in early December 2021. First, it took FOREVER to get an appt with Dr. D then when I checked in the staff are mindless, careless and unprofessional! I have been seeing Dr. D for many many years but I find myself having to find another PCP as he has changed and allowed staff to be rude. Won't be going back/

This is an excellent office, both the staff and Doctors are professional and listen to you. I have had nothing but excellent service in this office.

First off I've been seeing Dr. Deshazo for many many years, but in the last 6 months I've experienced nothing but hell trying to get an appointment, once I did I've had to wait at least 1-2 hr in the waiting room besides listening to the patients in the waiting room talk about how bad the office has gotten isn't a good sign then at least another 45 minutes in the room waiting for doc. The staff he has now especially the big lady in the back that says she's the new CEO is so rude and doesn't want to help on any questions about recent lab charges that I'm pretty sure I'm going to end up with a large bill because she couldn't even answer my questions and that was a month ago and it still not fixed. After the staff and that big lady being so rude it kills me to have to find another doctor, but if the Dr. D allows them to be that rude and unprofessional to the patients then it's time to move on and he stopped caring.

Dr D is excellent and very knowlegable, I highly reccomend him, I have been seeing him for at least eight years.

Booked the appointment 2 months in advance, he was an hour late! The ladies at the front where ok, but seemed like they were new to job. The doctor should keep religion out of his practice! And stay in his scope of practice, he was try to talk about my dads cancer!? No sir, stay in your lane thank you! Let the oncologist do that!! Without Exception, I have the utmost respect and trust in Dr. DeShazo! His knowledge is vast and unmatched by any other physician I have seen. He is an excellent communicator and listener! His care for his patients is Genuine! If you value your health as I do, the choice is simple!

I actually enjoyed seeing Dr. Deshazo for my appointment last week. He addressed every concern that I had and what can be done about. I actually like my care that I received at his office. I like the office staff, nurse and front desk person. Thanks for such a great experience and staff.

Extremely knowledgeable, listens to your concerns. Love the fact that he is a DO. Excellent Physician.

What a three ring circus! The doctor is nice enough but the staff is a joke - 15 minutes on hold - then 30 days out for an appointment!!!! Really?

Dr. Deshazo is highly intelligent. He genuinely cares for his patients well being. I’ve never met a Dr. like him & feel truly blessed to be his patient! When I have health issues he uses logic to solve problems & knows exactly what’s going on! To add his staff is amazing & extremely sweet. I refer all of my friends & family to him.

Dr. D is a wonderful doctor he takes time to listen and see what’s wrong with all his patients he makes u feel like your a real person not just another patient. He treats everyone with care and he is a great doctor I totally feel lucky to have a doctor care so much. Lauri still

Wow is all i can say, I haven't even stepped foot into the office, just made a call and completely turned off by this place. A girl answered the phone, not sure if her name was Cheyenne or whatever, more likely front office/ scheduling girl Asked a simple, general question. Got an attitude. hung up on the girl. Bad for business to have such a rude person answering phones and possibly scheduling patients. I can only imagine actually walking into the office and having to deal with such a pos face to face. Ive worked in the medical field for 7 years and NEVER been SO DISRESPECTED over the phone !!!!!!! STEP UP YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE !!!!!!! I was calling this office because my medical office needed medical records on a mutual patient we were treating. Who ever answered the phone was completely rude and stated “WHY CANT YOU CALL QUEST FOR THEM?” never was even interested on which patient i was talking about or even had a heart to even want to help me……i was totally taken back by the tone of voice she used because our medical facility is all about patient care and would do anything and everything for the better interest of the patient and their care BUT this office obviously does not think this way. I hung up because i was so disgusted ! Then decided to call back and speak with the office manager (thinking she would care), who apparently is Karen. I proceeded to tell Karen how I work at another office and how disrespected I was on the phone by on of their employees when all i was trying to do was get records. Then Karen, THE PRACTICE MANAGER tells me “how annoying it is that “specialty” offices just call in for records and they are just suppose to drop everything it to us”. Im sorry KAREN but if your office PUT PATIENTS FIRST THEN SENDING RECORDS SHOULD NOT BE A PROBLEM FOR YOU OR ANYONE! I saw great reviews for this place but just the way they treated me over the phone, there is no way the patients comes first. I have been trying to find a good doctor who will actually help me for over 20 years. He listens and seems eager to actually know his patients and, above all, help. Well-deserved 5 stars.

Dr. DeShazo is the best doctor I have ever had. Years ago my pain management doctor at the time referred me to Dr. D, it was the best thing that's happened for me. Dr. DeShazo genuinely cares about each and every one of his patients, and takes the time to listen to everything that you tell him, and always helps. I am a medical assistant and I always refer our patients to Dr. D because of his amazing bedside manner, and how professional and caring he is.

The doctor is really friendly and seems very knowledgeable of his practice area. However I felt it to be a bit of a scam. I went in with mainly a lower back issue and minor shoulder issue and the doctor has made me get X-rays and said almost nothing about my lower back (which even he acknowledged as an issue) but is insisting I go spend $600+ on an MEI for my shoulder... When in fact I mainly just wanted treatment for my backs. But other than that I've just had a terrible experience at this facility. The staff is not very helpful or competent based on my experience, however. Phone calls are rarely returned - I've request blood work results to be emailed over a month ago and have asked multiple times but still have not received them. Additionally, spoke with the office supervisor via phone about have an immunization form completed and still have not gotten a response back (just about 2 weeks have passed). I've been involved in a series of high level trauma inpatient experiences, requiring a particularly acute level of care. Being an amputee, as well as possessing an ability to sustain massive amounts of damage to my body due to my active lifestyle in performance motorsports, I find Dr. DeShazo quite attentive, and I go to him for everything from a cough and cold to post ICU release aftercare from accidents, explosions and gunshot wounds. Gary Deshazo, D.O. is one of the best in the business! My family and I follow him everywhere and refer everyone to him. Dr. Deshazo and his staff make you feel at home. Dr DeShazo was my physician for years. There will never be another Dr like him. He's very caring, and a good friend to our family. We have since moved to another state. I hope to be able to find someone that will take good care of our health needs as he did. He makes and takes the time to take care of each patient.

Dr. Deshazo is very easy to talk to. He listens. I have a rare disease, he knew all about it. I feel very comfortable with him. His staff, especially Cindy the nurse, is very helpful and friendly. So glad I was referred to this office.

I have had a health problem for 6 years now, and I've seen about 5+ Drs. Not including specialists, they all treated me like a number or dollar amount and just prescribed drugs and band aid fixes. Dr Deshazo was the only Dr to treat me like a person and after 6 years of a problem I was finally diagones properly and recovering well. I recently changed doctors and started seeing Dr. Deshazo. I have never gone to an office where I feel so welcome and cared about. The staff answers the phone and takes your concerns or requests seriously. Anything I have asked them to take care of or do is done immediately. Dr. Deshazo is so kind and caring. It was a very good choice!

As others commented, I did have to wait a little long -but Dr. Deshazo was very personable, and struck me as exceptionally knowledgeable and compassionate. Additionally, he was very patient with me, taking the time to answer all me questions and explain things to my satisfaction -the complete opposite of a rush me in and out as quickly as possible mindset. I have been a patient of Dr. D's for 23 years.Yes I have waited quite awhile to see Doc but the wait is definitely worth it. There are very few Doctors in this town that are like the small town one's we had growing up. Of course you have to be in your 60's to remember those days. I have had many other specialists in my 28 years in Vegas and only a FEW of them took their time to really listen to what you are telling them and made you feel like they cared. You are not just a number when you see him. Doc wants to know everything about your history and family as well. Any Specialist he had to refer me to were always wonderful too. He has a great bedside manner and always makes you feel comfortable and relaxed. I have the utmost confidence in Dr. D and his professional ism is at the top of the list. Waited more than an hour and again, gave up. This doctor has NO respect for time of other people. It doesn't matter how good a doctor is if they're inaccessible. Further, SEVERAL drug reps came and went (they got right in) while I was waiting. Priorities are really screwed up.
