He is the most understanding and thorough doctor that I have seen in my almost 80 years!! I would highly recommend him..

I had a great experience with doctor Colon he did my back surgery in August of 2021 I would highly recommend him.

Dr Colon is very experienced, knowledgeable, and personable with his patients.

Dr Colon has performed 4 of my surgeries. He is a wonderful surgeon. I have since injured my back, but to no avail can I get an appt. I have called that office 6Xs they take a message and say they will call back but they haven’t as yet. I would give Dr Colon a 5 but his office staff an “F”.

I needed someone to fix me up with a neck surgery and this was the right doctor for that! Love the welcoming and calming environment this doctor had for me!

My husband had C5 and C6 disk replacement in August of 2020 with Dr. Colon. His surgery was a success and he no longer has pain or numbness. in his neck and arms. Dr. Colon is a great surgeon and did an excellent job. I would highly recommend him!

I can't express how much joy Dr. Colon has brought back into my life. I have had 2 neck surgeries with Dr. Colon. First one in 11/2013 and second in March 2019. He has the best bedside manner even taking bandages off at 4am.. =) I know that my care was first with him. As He does with all his patients. Dr. Colon and his staff knew how to keep me comfortable during the most difficult time in my life. I am thankful for Dr. Colon. I know I'll never be pain free or numb free, but I can still do some of the things that I love and enjoy. I can't express how much joy Dr. Colon has brought back into my life. Terrific in every way

Worst experience of my life. When the surgery doesn't go as planned, he drops you as a patient. I would recommend running from Dr. Colon. Horrible patient care.

I have be seeing Dr Colon for two years for both lumbar and cervical issues.... both degerative disks and arthritis throughout my spine. I was referred to him by both doctors and patients. I did plenty of reference check on him and other doctors.. He focuses on overall wellness, therapy, and minimizing medications. and encourages surgery as a last resort. Even before seeing Dr Colon, I had dealt with lumbar pain and stenosis for 6 years. Several rounds of formal therapy over 8 years with daily home PT plus a few epidural, finally led to surgery. Dr Colon was alwaysanswered all my questions in detail. I know that someday, I will require further procedures. He will be my goto guy. I had to have a dbl fusion but Dr Colon got me back on my feet. I wish I would have gone to him first. I have referred many too him & all were happy. I'm making another appt because something else has now happened and I really trust him

To me, this is a role model for a doctor. From the first, you can tell him and his staff care about the patient. I was having a lot of lower back issues in which they tried several things before they decided I had to have surgery. Now, a week after lower back surgery, I feel better than I have in years! If anyone needs a doctor in this specialty, they are the only one you need to go to. We even had issues with the hospital and they stepped in to make sure I got the surgery I needed. I had a laminectomy and spinal fusion 17 years ago by doctor Colon. I am walking today because of him! I will always thank him for my new life! He is not only a expert nerosurgeon but has a great personality and easy to talk to.

My husband was referred to Dr. Colon by Dr. Mathew Baker. We met with Dr. Colon in March and felt very comfortable with him. He implanted a shunt in my husband's brain in April and the results have been fabulous. We would both highly recommend Dr. Colon for surgery.

I am so glad Dr Colon is my surgeon!! He so focused, very interested in helping his patients get the best care! He is down to earth, easy to talk to, and takes time to answers all your questions!

Dr. Colon and his staff were exceptional. The doctor is excellent and in great demand, but given the severity of my condition they gave me an immediate appointment. Yesterday was my surgery and today I am pain free. I am so grateful to have this caliber of surgeon available to me in Naples, FL. Thank you Dr. Colon, his PA John, assistant Bridgett, and scheduler Linda. You made a true difference in my life.

I personally have not met the Doctor. But as far as his office staff. They are absolutely rude and un professional. They have a attitude at any given time you call there office. You let them know that you are not understanding something and they get upset to the point you hear them mumbling under there breath sucking there teeth and all. I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND ANY ONE TO USE THEM. ITS ALL ABOUT FEELING COMFORTABLE AND THEY DO NOT MAKE YOU FEEL THAT WAY. I personally have not met the Doctor. But as far as his office staff. Dr. Colon is a great neurosurgeon! I had L5-S1 fusion surgery. Extremely happy with the results. Dr. Colon is an highly regarded surgeon by many people.

Dr. Colon's partner did my back surgery 2 1/2 yrs ago, but he retired. When I began having problems with back pain recently, I saw Dr. Colon for an evaluation. The APRN did a quick exam then the doctor came in and prescribed 4wks of physical therapy before returning for a follow up. He did not order an MRI, even though it had been 2 1/2 years since my last one. I changed practices and had my records sent to the new doctor. I am very pleased I made the switch.

Dr Colon did a very thorough analysis review of my condition. Surgery was recommended using a relatively new device. After several months recovery and therapy my condition has completely recovered to normal activity. He was excellent at reviewing options and procedures and has great patient - Dr relationship.

I called from out of state to see if Dr Colon would review my MRI, the first lady that I spoke to did not seem very willing to help me. She told me that I was free to send it in and that the doctor would review it, but in no way would he consult with me over the phone to discuss whether or not his procedures could help me. I was told that I would need to make an appointment and come down just to talk about my results. She went on to tell me that they get a lot of snow birds and that many patients come down for a month in August and have the procedure done. Well if I were 75 and retired that might be an option, but I'm not. In no way did she even try to accommodate me, when I said that that protocol made no sense to me, she got snarky and repeated "that makes no sense to you, well let me get Linda who schedules for him" I said ok thank you and she gave a snarky mmmhmm. Linda comes on the line and pretty much backs the first girl up. Tells me almost verbatim what the first lady said. I could feel the hostility. It was like protect your coworker instead of help the patient. When I said it didn't seem like they went out of their way to be patient friendly she quickly told me that was not the case. Well it was definitely my experience today. This is to bad, because according to the other reviews Dr. Colon is an amazing Doctor. I would have liked to have spoken with him. I have had back pain for years and would have liked his opinion. Linda , Dr. Colon's receptionist ,was so rude to me on the phone she actually made me cry. Although I have the proper records and referrals, she refused to complete setting up my appointment. I am not a stupid person, I have an advanced degree, but she treated me as if I was two years old and incompetent. Dr. Colon may be an excellent surgeon, but with support staff like that, he needs to clean house and get new help. Shame on him!

Did not fix the problem and made it worse and refused to make another appointment.

After two surgical procedures I am not any better than when I started. I feel that I have been dumped with no follow up scheduled following the appointment on the one year anniversary of my second surgery.
