I absolutely love Dr. Bouloux and his staff/residents. I am three months post-op of him replacing both of my joints. I was fine up until the day of surgery. He completely calmed my nerves. Every visit that I have had with him since my surgery has been amazing. I never feel rushed or anything. He always answers all my questions and even jokes around with my husband and I. They last time I saw him we had to wait longer than usual for him to come in. When he did come in, he apologized for like 10 minutes (his surgery went longer than he thought it was). Honestly, I didn't care. If he fixed that person like he fixed me then take all the time you need!!

This is the worst run doctors office I have ever experienced. I booked an appointment for a major issue I’m having (not cosmetic) and had to wait 6 months for an appointment. 5 months later they call me and tell me that they have to push my appointment back another 5 months. The morning of my rescheduled appointment they call me and tell me they have to reschedule my appointment and pushed it about another 30 days. This is the worst run place I have every experience. I can’t imagine what would happen if these idiots operated on me.

The worst experience of my life. Run. No follow up care. Crippling post op. I’ve never left a review. I could not get a post op appointment. I removed my own stitches. They left puncture wounds in my cheeks. I experienced the worst nerve damage. Do not go here!!!

Scarring, nerve damage , no post op follow up. Nothing. Do NOT go here. You will regret it. Read the other reviews. Find another oral surgeon!!!

They should be ashamed of themselves I saw them back in October with plans to get my right tmj replaced. After waiting for months in lots of pain and failed attempts to contact them. Finally received a call saying they were waiting on pre authorization, wth it’s been months of me suffering! Now I have to wait more months for them to fabricate the joint, very disappointed and frustrated.

Who in the world is running this office? My wife has been waiting on you to send a pre-authorization form to insurance since JUNE OF 2022. We have been calling you multiple times per week for two months now and every single time we are told “we will leave a message and someone will call you back.” Not a single person has reached out to her and her condition is progressing. Is it common for your practice to abandon patient care or is this just a fluke? We have zero clue what is going on and have been completely left in the dark. I cannot believe I am having to resort to writing a GOOGLE REVIEW to get someone’s attention at a MEDICAL PRACTICE.

I had heard great things about Dr. Bouloux from colleagues around the country recommending him as one of the best TMJ surgeons in the nation. I'm a physician myself, and wanted to make sure I was in the best hands for a total joint replacement that has filled me with fear since my diagnosis. Dr. Bouloux is everything a patient would hope for in a physician - he was intelligent, compassionate, diligent, and gave me no doubt that he practices evidence-based medicine and would give me the best possible outcome for my surgery. I flew in from Austin, Texas just to see him and he went above and beyond to make sure my time was well spent and everything that could be taken care of for my case in a single visit was taken care of. As a physician myself, I learned a lot from my experience with him not only about the rare condition I have, but also about how to be a great physician with excellent bedside manner. I had seen various surgeons for consults on my case, and Dr. Bouloux was the only surgeon who left me feeling relieved and a weight of anxiety lifted knowing I was in the best hands. He truly has gone above and beyond for me, and for that I am extremely grateful and hope to pay that forward to my patients. I cannot recommend him highly enough to anyone in need of TMJ surgery. The doc and his staff were wonderful, compassionate, and thorough in evaluating my concerns. Highly recommend

Illegally files claims. Breached their contract with my insurance and did not send them all of claims as were promised in their contract. They were forcing me to pay out of pocket or they would terminate me for being different. I contacted Gary and he Messaged me and aided with them and ignored me requests to send the claim to my insurance. My insurance found out about them illegally holding claims and contacted them an weeks later they sent me a termination letter. (Their upper executives do not even know what pre authorization is. I was very hopeful to get answers and treatment options from Dr. Bouloux due to the severity of my condition. I saw him twice and he spent less than 5 mins in exam room. I mostly dealt with his residents who continually contradicted Dr. Bouloux's recommendations. So disappointing and unhelpful.

I struggle with severe TMJD and was hopeful Dr. Bouloux would be better able to help find the cause of and treat the condition. I saw him twice and each time he spent less than 10 minutes in the room. He related a TMJ flare up to a muscle cramp which extremely downplays the pain associated with the disorder. It is very difficult to talk with Dr. Bouloux as his resident doctors do most of the evaluating. He did treat me with Botox, which did not work and told me I didn't need to return to the office. He said to just continue with physical therapy for which he will not give me a referral for about 3 months from now.

Really good beside manner. I felt very comfortable in his care with his residents and the staff at Emory.

Ignored,physically hurt more than I have ever been. Lies about sceduling, has an EGO.I can't type much because it removes me from the page. Just Overall badly run department, POOR Physician.

This man has been simply amazing. He has been patient and understanding. I have a very complex medical background and Dr. Bouloux has been 5 stars each and every step of the way. He has been an angel to both me and my daughter and you can feel at ease with him which is a welcome change in this field, trust me, I know I have been to three others doctors in this field to find him...

Dr. Bouloux is the best surgeon in his field! He has a wonderful, compassionate attitude and concern for his patients. Dr. Bouloux is the leader in TMJ and complex jaw injuries and reconstructing them. I have my smile and face because of Dr. B and his team!

I've been seeing Dr B for a while. I drive 3 hours each time. He spends about 2 minutes with me and I always feel rushed. I had major jaw reconstruction surgery and now I have more pain than before- it's unbearable and I take unpleasant medication daily for it. I'm only 33. I wish there was something more that could be done. We have talked about jaw replacement surgery, but this is so major and I feel like I haven't been given the time or attention to make an informed decision. I also am concerned with the residents' ability to stitch the face up well which results in one side of the face looking good and the other with an ugly scar. I think Dr B is a skilled surgeon and cares about his patients. My wife would tell you she had a tumor that destroyed her mandible and that Dr. Bouloux saved her face, is an excellent surgeon, and to say he is brilliant is an understatement. His staff and interns are extremely professional. Yes, they are busy; you have to wait. The wait is worth it.

This doctors office is one of the worst I’ve ever dealt with. The first problem was that they didn’t send off my insurance approval until two weeks later when I called about it and then it took another two weeks to get approved. Second thing, once I was finally able to come in their system made errors and didn’t have the approval from my insurance. Third, I was told I could come right in to pick up my mouth piece but the next available appointment is three months away.DON’T GO HERE!SAVE YOURSELF

Dr. Bouloux failed to correctly identify the area to be treated, and shoved an instrument into the posterior of the TMJ, through her ear canal rupturing the ear drum causing damage and dislodging the stapes (stirrup) bone in her ear resulting in hearing loss. We've had additional surgery to correct the ear drum (Tympanoplasty) as the stapes bone continues to remain in its dislodged position. She now wears a hearing aid ($2500 out of our pocket) to correct the hearing loss that was caused.
