Knowledgeable and kind doctor who took the time to explain details of my condition, answer questions, and provided treatment to resolve issue.

I choose AAMC hospital and AnnapolisOB/gyn because of Dr. Guckes. Later I found out that you can’t just make an appointment with him for all OB/GYN visits. I was having hard time during delivery because my baby weight 9 lbs and 10 oz and she’s faceup. Contraction started 4 am in the morning and the doctor on duty is only present for like 5-10 minutes and I only have one nurse Sarah, who is really kind and excellent. Doctor on duty mentioned that I might soon need c section. Thankafully, shift changed and I got Dr. Guckes along with his amazing nurses Team Trisha Group. It’s around 7:30 Am and I’m almost giving up but they couches me and delivered my healthy baby girl on August, 2019. As soon as he arrived, he did double check the baby position with ultrasound and present during delivery then waste no time to stitches my third degree tear. I got luck out to have him. My advice is make sure you asked for doctor schedule at hospital and if you are inducing labor, choose Dr. Guckes date.

Dr. Guckes is amazing. His kind demeanor puts you at ease, and he is open to answer any questions that you may have. He is knowledgeable, non-judgemental, and very caring. You couldn't ask for a better doctor.

Dr Guckes probably saved my life! What was supposed to be a planned c section turned into a very scary experience due to an overwhelming amount of scar tissue from my previous csection!

Dr. Guckes is a phenomenal obstetrician. He delivered my first daughter in 2014 via an emergency c-section and repeat scheduled in 2018. His bedside manner is comforting and has always efficiently answered all of my questions and concerns.

Dr Guckes is the kind of doctor you always hope you find. He is present, genuine, professional and comforting. He takes time to address concerns and cultivate a good dr-patient relationship, which is more and more difficult to find. I was fortunate enough for him to deliver our baby and would put him at the very top of my list of recommended doctors.
