After seeing this doctor because of a diagnosis from another doctor (who had been his intern), the first words out of his mouth weren't "hello," or "tell me what the problem is." His first words before he ever talked to me? "What sham of a doctor told you that you have this issue?" I should have left at that moment. Instead I stuck around and let him be condescending and patronizing to me for way longer than I should have. Either he never read my chart or he was being intentionally obtuse because he seemed not to know anything that I had recorded on my intake form. Apparently he feels that being a long-time doctor means he doesn't need to worry about tact or decency.
