I had a 3" piece of wood in my hand that had been festering for 3 weeks. A different surgeon told me there was nothing in it despite being treated for an infection (on my way to sepsis) by an urgent care MD. Dr. Leversedge saved this uninsured patient tons of money by ordering an ultrasound instead of a CT scan. The wood was clear as a bell! 36 hours later I was on the operating table for a complex surgery. Despite the abundance of nerves he could have damaged, I came through it unscathed and I have full function of my hand.
