This doctor is not only egotistical (as most specialists are) but dismissive and unprofessional. His staff is incompetent and can't answer simple questions. They double and triple book appointment when the doctor is not even in. This is a tactic I've seen before with doctors trying to get the most of their patients health benefits without doing the work. The wait time is always a minimum of 2hrs+ no matter if you're on time or early. Despite my condition of gestational diabetes being regulated with diet and my baby being in the average percentile for growth the doctor refused to grant a recommendation for an at home birth because in his words 'As a physician I don't agree with at home births under any circumstances'. When I said I would get a second opinion he told me 'I'm the most liberal doctor in town and the only one who would even bother dealing with patients under a midewife's care'. He provided no assurance that I was going to be fine despite the reports and the obvious improvements in my sugar levels. This doctor is just like many others who are against home birthing due to their own ignorance and biases based on the dogma fed to them in med school (which is plenty flawed).
