Dr. Frank Anthony Liporace

He is the best. He saved my life after another surgeon botched a hip fusion from a “dr “ who thought a shattered hip in over 6 pieces will fuse. I left and found Dr Liporace and thank god I did. He discovered a fungus that was in my marrow and almost killed. If not for him and his staff , I wouldn’t be here. I would literally wait for days outside in the rain if I had to before I would see anyone else let alone do a surgery on me. Now my hip replacement feels great and I can’t thank him enough !!

He is the best. Great dr. Personable and caring. Best of all, he is a terrific surgeon.

He has no bed side manners, and disregards your questions if they don’t make sense to him. Defintely get a second opinion!!!!!!

Dr Liporace literally saved my life!! He discovered a fungus I had growing in my hip for months that another surgeon missed. He has done 2 surgeries on me including a total hip replacement and I feel great! His Jersey City and Livingston offices are great as well, especially Christina and Jenny. They went out of their way to help me and I work in the medical field in dermalogy and I wish my office ran as great as his offices. First Class!!!

My mother had surgery by Dr. Liporace on October 9th 2020. Surgery went great to my knowledge, but post op was a disaster. I had to wait over 5 hours to speak/see my mom or even get a proper update from the nurse. When I finally saw her, she was hysterically crying in pain which is ridiculous to expect to discharge a patient that is still in extreme pain post op. After 2 hours, my mom was finally given something for the pain. And now, over a month later, my mom is still in an extreme amount of pain, we must have called the doctors office at least 60 times to try and get in touch with someone regarding the pain and what’s going on. My mom is in so much pain to the point she screams out in pain and crying. Every time we finally get a call back, it’s from the PA and there is zero compassion or patient care. It’s like talking to wall. Dr. Liporace may be a great doctor, but the post op care from him, his staff and everyone in between has been absolutely horrendous.

Worst customer service by the Dr’s appointment scheduler, i booked an appointment over phone on Nov 9 for Nov 19 for 377 Jersey Ave clinic. On Nov 19 i was at the clinic on time they first the clinic is closed on Thursday then they said my appointment was at Newport clinic and not 377 Jersey Ave and then they changed the timing saying it was on Nov 18. The help desk person at 377 Jersey had to make up call to accommodate me after admitting it was a mistake from their end. I reached there and they me wait for almost an hour and then i was told the doctor has gone for lunch. I would strongly recommend not to visit such Doctor or clinic who does not value patients Pathetic service

HORRIBLE STAFF AND PRACTICE MANAGER. GIVE APPOINTMENTS AND THEY ARE NEVER THERE WHEN YOU GO. THEY FAIL TO TELL YOU OF ANY CHANGES GOING TO APPOINTMENT BUT ARE QUICK TO REMIND YOU OF CANCELLATION FEES. I SHOULD BE REIMBURSED FOR ALL THE TIMES THEY NEVER CANCELLED MY APPOINTMENTS AND I TOOK TIME TO SHOW UP AND THEY WERE NOT THERE. HORRIBLE PRACTICE. DOCTOR NEVER RETURNS CALLS. GO SOMEPLACE ELSE.

would give ZERO * if possible. Do not under any circumstances go to this doctor! -Poorly mismanaged office - rude staff and management. On two different occasions after confirming my appointments, I went to the JC office where I always have my knees injections done and they doctor was not there. I was advised at that time (not during confirmation of appt) that the doctor no longer does injections. After fussing enough, they arranged for the PA to do my injections. Because I was in such knee pain, I agreed to have the PA do the job and was given a follow up appointment for 3 months. Well 11/5/2020 was my appointment date . I called and confirmed appointment but when I went to the office, NO DOCTOR, NO PA, NO STAFF. I called to see what happened and they said you have an appointment at our other office. WHAT OTHER OFFICE???? I never knew or went to any other office. Been going to the same place for 2 years. There staff SUCKS. They never call to advise of changes they don't give messages to doctor or PA . Prior to this last appointment, I called on three different occasions to have a physical therapy prescription sent to me or to be able to speak with the doctor about starting therapy, and NO ONE CALLED ME OR SENT ME ANYTHING. The doctor himself I feel once he knows you do not want surgery and will try other things will throw you off to his PA's to do the work. When I chose this doctor, it was to be treated by DR. LIPORACE not his PA's. I work in the medical field and my practice has NEVER treated patients like this office. HORRIBLE PLACE. LOOK FOR ANOTHER DOCTOR.

Excellent surgeon!!! Dr.Liporace got me back on my two feet after a very successful knee replacement. He is exceptionally considerate and takes the time to very thoroughly explain potential medical options.

Hi Dr. Liberace did my surgery almost 4 years ago and he did an awesome job. Now I'm going to be needing him again for my other hip surgery done soon. I would recommend him.

I had hip replacement surgery on 11/12/19. Dr.Frank Liperace and his surgical team were absolutely amazing...I was so nervous and was made to feel so comfortable. They were so informative and understanding with my concerns..I cannot give them enough praise...The hospital staff was very terrific as well...here it is I am back to work already and no pain whatsoever...again I can't be more thankful for this experience...What an amazing surgical team they are...JC medical center is awesome as well..Again thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Dr. Liporace performed my rotator cuff and bicep surgery that went very smoothly. The staff was very professional, competent and polite. I highly recommended his practice.

Dr. Liporace did my toe surgery on July 17. I now have a bed infection and have been unable to see him. I spent over 2 hours in his office only to find out he was not there.

I had surgery on BOTH of my heels and, had hardware removed from my left knee, at the same time. Dr. Liporace did a wonderful job operating on me and helping me to get where I need to be. I was worried going into surgery, and a ton of nurses and nursing aids, assured me that Dr. Liporace was one of the best surgents on the east coast. Dr. Liporace also came to my bedside as I waited to enter the O.R. He assured me that all will work out fine. All in all, Dr. Liporace is an amazing surgent.

Dr. Liporace is a great doctor and good man. I went to a lot of other surgeons about my achilles who all said the same thing. Dr. Liporace took the time to listen and try to do what's best for me as a person and an active man who still has a little "gas in the tank." He genuinely cared about getting me back to living life the way I was used to. His office was nice and his PA Jamie went out of her way to help me feel comfortable through out the entire procedure. I was lucky to find him.

I wish I did my knee replacement surgery sooner. I received great care and had a wonderful experience. Dr. Liporace and his staff are caring and knowledgeable. I am so happy I made the decision to have surgery.

I saw 3 other doctors prior to seeing Dr. Liporace. He was the only surgeon that would help me. After the surgery, I walked for the first time in 3 years. My experience was wonderful and the staff listened to my concerns and helped me every step of the way.

My experience with Dr. Liporace was the worst I ever had at a doctor in my entire life. Here are some highlights of what was went wrong: -Extremely rude staff gave me a follow up number that went straight to a full voicemail with too many messages in the inbox. -Waiting room crammed with multiple patients complaining of 2 hour + waits from appointment time, myself included. -Dr. Liporace pushed aggressively for surgery even though 2nd and 3rd opinion felt PT was all I needed for myinjury

You should not under any circumstances use this doctor or this practice. Everyone I know that had surgery with him has MASSIVE complications AND I saw with my own eyes, bedbugs in the chair (the tall one for hip surgery patients) and when I reported it, his staff LAUGHED and said everyplace in New York has bed bugs Seriously stay away.

The office staff is just atrocious. Really essentially negligent with their lack of care. His PA told me I just had a superficial cellulitis and it turned out to be the joint itself was infected. If I hadn't gone to the ER (against her advice) I don't even know what would have happened. They don't return phone calls, they don't schedule surgery when they say they are going to. This place is just grossly mismanaged and the disdain for patients as individuals is just palpable.

He is knowledgable and personable. You are treated with respect and concern. He takes time to actually speak to his patients, not simply talk at them. More doctors should take lessons from him on how to care for their patients.

The office staff was rude and mismanaged. The waiting room was overcrowded and I left after 2 hours. Ridiculous.
