I had an appointment for surgery 11AM 5/18/2022 with DR. Rubio... I was left in the waiting room for 3 hours ...no-one came out to tell me what was going on...1 pm someone came and said DR has been delayed and it's going to be another 45 min...so that means 2pm ...I was supposed to have surgery scheduled for 11AM...2pm now???? No explanation other then DR was backed up...Crazy NO Communication... NO apologize... NOTHING!!!! DR. Rubio didn't even call me to explain....What kind of DR schedules Surgery, and never explain the reasons as to what happened??? NOT SURE WHY DR THINK THEY CAN DO THINGS LIKE THIS! Absolutely crazy!!! Don't go to this place... DR. Rubio is a Mutt and afraid to confront his patient... If you read more reviews you will see this is what DR Rubio does...avoid problems...Never strays and fix anything... All I Can say is Disgracefully!!!! I had an appointment for surgery 11AM 5/18/2022 with DR. Rubio... I was left in the waiting room for 3 hours ...no-one came out to tell me what was going on...1 pm someone came and said DR has been delayed and it's going to be another 45 min...so that means 2pm ...I was supposed to have surgery scheduled for 11AM...2pm now???? Too many patients sent from a medical center they usually make u wait over a hour .the appointment scheduled is mess up.get therapy some place else .u don’t see the doctor before or after surgery.it’s a meat market.

I had CMC surgery and got a Stablyx implant. My original surgery date was cancelled due to COVID-19, and my initial surgeon wasn’t returning to work when they were able to resume performing elective procedures. I requested another surgeon & Dr. Rubio kindly took over my case. He agreed to hold my appointment over video, and was very thorough and professional. He carefully explained the procedure and explained what I could expect. Dr. Rubio was candid regarding post-op pain, the importance of giving the new joint time to heal before using it, and expected length of recovery. My surgery went really well, and my recovery has been amazing. Although this is not typical, I had minimal pain & inflammation. Wait times for appointments were long, staff seemed overwhelmed and somewhat disorganized, I highly recommend Dr. Rubio and would encourage anyone having this procedure to extremely limit their activity for the first 3 days and keep your hand elevated above your heart to minimize swelling. 2nd surgery on my hand with Dr. Rubio. He an excellent hand surgeon. Everything went as planned.

I had a shoulder surgery. Excellent job

I had CMC surgery and got a Stablyx implant. Dr Rubio was professional, patient and communicated clearly and thoroughly before, during and after the surgery. The day following surgery I was in less pain than I had been for several years. Recovery went well, and only 10 days after surgery there was minimal swelling and discomfort. They had shown me what might be involved with OT, so I gently worked on range of motion at home and never needed therapy. The practice is very busy, and wait times can be frustrating, so bring a book/video to keep you entertained and remember most ortho specialists are often overloaded.

Dr Rubio and his surgical staff are great. Unfortunately, I can't say the same for the rest of his staff. The front desk staff are rude, unprofessionals. I left several messages and nobody return your calls. There is a young woman that works in the office, she's the most arrogant and condescending person. I rather not mention her name. I had two surgeries on my left hand with Dr Rubio. I was supposed to go back and have a surgery on my right hand, which is not going to happen. I already found another Doctor. That place liked mentioned on previous reviews, it's a factory. On my first consultation with Dr Rubio I had to wait to be seen 5 hrs. The only reason I waited that long, its because I live far away and had already taken the day off. Also need to have my procedure done before the end of the year. I fell sorry for all those elderly patients. It's sad, he's a great doctor. I'm giving two stars just because the incompetence of his office staff. Dr Rubio and his surgical staff are great. I was in the emergency room with a blistered finger following a pool swim and bee sting when I met Dr. Francisco Rubio at Baptist Heath Hospital (Miami, FL) on 11/2/19. My condition was soon diagnosed as a life threatening disease- necrotizing fasciitis (more commonly known as a flesh eating disease). Dr. Rubio was the hand surgeon that diagnosed the problem and immediately operated on me to remove the bacteria. His prompt actions along with the infectious disease team (and large doses of antibiotics) were instrumental in saving my life. In addition to stopping the spread of bacteria to heart and other organs that could have resulted in death within 24-48 hours, I avoided other potential setbacks such as loss of finger or arm. I would highly recommend Dr. Francisco Rubio due to his knowledge, ability to explain the situations and take all appropriate actions quickly.

I had a skin graft done by Dr. Rubio a month ago and he did an exceptional job! From how well his patient care is, to explaining everything that will be done, to answering any questions you may have, and to his friendly staff I would HIGHLY recommend going to this doctor.

Dr. Rubio and his staff are great! Although the wait time was indeed longer than I had expected, the amount of time and trouble taken to answer all of my question made it all worth while. He listened, clarified, and reassured all of my concerns. Highly recommend Dr. Rubio and his team!

Just a pretty long wait i had the appointment for 9:20 and i got called in at around11:00 so i would say to work on waiting time that’s all

I’ve been attending this clinic since June 2018 and I don’t have anything but good things to say about it. Doctor Rubio and the staff has done an excellent job not to mention the best hand therapist, Ileana. She’s not only caring but an emphatic and very knowledgeable professional. Everybody here treats you with respect and always look for the best way to help you and serve you. I recommend this place a ??%!!!

I was referred to Dr. Rubio by a coleague. Not only did my coleague have an issue with the waiting time at this office, I found Dr. Rubio to be very unprofessional and a horrible beside manner. Not only did I also wait in a second waiting room, when Dr. Rubio arrived he never introduced himself, nor did he look me in the eye not once! I was a new patient? so dissapointing. I am looking for another hand specialist in the Kendall area. Horrible. Would NEVER recomment this doctor.

NEVER in my life have I ever seen such a factory! Sent here from the ER at Baptist, took almost a month to get the appointment. Three plus hour wait before seeing the doctor. After returning for splint that doesn’t fit, I will not return to this disorganized people mill where it’s all about insurance.

HORRIBLE! In all aspects. Over a month to get an appointment. When you finally have an appointment and arrive on time, you can wait over 4hrs to see doctor. The office staff offers no excuses. The office is old and dirty. Dr. Rubio doesn’t explain things. He treated based on “uncertainty” as he stated that the tests are not very clear and it might be.... I have stopped going here. You should stay away.

I waited 2 hours before getting an xray. Another hour before being seen by Dr. Rubio. And then an extra hour before getting a splint on my pinky. I had a hairline fracture. My appointment was a total of 4 hours. I arrived at 3:45 and left at 7:45. I saw the Doctor for about 2 minutes. Their excuse? We can't control how long each patient takes. Actually, yes you can. You schedule less patients. You don't schedule a patient every 5 minutes or triple book.

The office is a factory!. And, there is little communication between the different parts of it. I came in 9 days after surgery for a broken wrist. I needed an X-ray and the large dressing replace with a removable splint. I arrived at 10:50 am and left at 2:15 pm!! 5 different workers there asked me the same questions. "How did I break my wrist? When did I break it? When was the surgery? ". The numerous forms I had to fill out could have been requested online. Very inefficient and too many cooks

As the on call specialist, Dr. Rubio was supposed to see my son in the hospital for a hand injury. After 2.5 days in the hospital, he was dismissed and asked to see him at his office first thing in the morning. We arrived at his practice promptly at 9:00 am, but he was not seen until after 12:00 PM.
