Dr. Gomez was extremely professional. He was so approachable and answered any questions that I had. His exam was flawless. I am a registered nurse and can recognize a good physician.

Buyer Beware! Understand what is being prescribed and it’s impact. Do your homework.

He just doesn't care about his patients much. Just another doctor writing scripts and taking money.

After experiencing a couple of “rough” new doctor visits over the past few weeks, I wanted to give some good feedback to my neurologist who I see & talk to more than my Primary Doctor. “Dr. G” as I call him has been great to me for the last 5yrs, no matter what. I have 2 autoimmune disorders, so a rather “complex” patient..lol…I know if I can’t reach him, Mandy, the infusion nurse or any of the office girls help me either resolve what I need or get Dr. G to text or call me.He is extremely knowledgeable & throughly explains in a manner that you understand. I had never met with or spoke with this man. I had an upcoming appointment with his office in hopes he would be my new neurologist— he had been taking care of medication refills since I had lost my current neurologist, and because I had appointment to become a patient under his care. Refills were going just fine until out of nowhere, without meeting me, speaking with me, or any kind of heads up, he changed a medication dose and the next month completely canceled it. This is not caring for someone this is putting their well being in danger. The worst experience I have ever had in regards to medical care and I don’t know how he can get away with such a thing.

I love this place!! I’ve been coming here for years! Dr. Gomez had to fight with my insurance over my medications and made sure I didn’t go without! Very friendly staff that knows you by name even if you only come in once a month.

I have been to multiple neurologist. Dr. Gomez and Dr Garten are the first Neurologists that have actually cared enough to listen and HELPED. I am baffled by these other reviews. There are always two sides to a story. Patients need to understand that sometimes treatments are out of their hands and they can only do so much at a time. There are steps that need to be taken. These providers not only care but they take the time to try and figure out what is going on with you medially. They do not just tell you it's in your head or what your feeling is not true. I only rated him one star because zero is not an option. This man should not be practicing. Not only is he without compassion or respect for his patients, but he has actually put my daughter in danger on two separate occasions. He takes no responsibility and has no interest in helping a patient. His office takes more than a week to respond— CVS tried to reach him for a full week, and never heard back. Better to have no doctor at all than to put any hope or trust in Gomez.

Unfortunately had to make an appointment with this neurologist because I was left looking for new neurologist due to certain circumstances. The practice agreed to take care of my prescriptions, I made an appointment a few months out with Dr Gomez in hopes I found a neurologist— before ever meeting me, never spoke with me, this man cut one of my prescriptions that I have been on for quite some time, down to a much lower dose. I called the office and they had no comment. How does a doctor mess with an epileptics medication without ever meeting them? Appalling.

I was referred to Dr. Gomez by my former neurologist as he was closing his practice and moving to Texas. I called and made an appointment thinking I was seeing Dr. Gomez and when I got there I was seen by a female physician who apparently is no longer there. I have tried to get in with Dr. Gomez only to be told he is not taking new patients. In addition, they can't provide me with a referral to another Dr. The entire medical community is nothing but a joke. They told me to call my primary doctor, who apparently walked out of his practice 2 months ago also. Now I struggle to find a new primary and neurologist and Dr. Gomez's office could care less..

I have received care from Dr. Gomez for two years now. He has always been responsive to my concerns and takes care with any medication adjustments. I can even text him if a tweak should be needed. Not expected to just wait for the next appointment. No money in that. Just patient care driven, in my opinion. I hate neuropathy pain but greatly respect Dr. Gomez.

Horrible office! The office manager Joel, who is also Dr Gomez's husband is extremely rude and unprofessional. They have a very high turn over for staff. That tells you its THEM.

Dr. Gomez is a great neurologist. I've been seeing him for more than 2 years and he is quick to get back to you and is progressive. He is a concerned physician and listens to all my issues. He is very present during a routine visit. I would highly recommend him.

Bad temper and horrible attitude! Whatever is wrong in his personal life needs to stay out of the exam room. He is a disgrace to the profession. Do no harm is obviously something he chooses to ignore

Unsatisfied lack of communication with staff, nurse and doctor. I was referred here and can't believe our drastic difference in treatment. You really have to stay on top of them. Ask questions in 1 shot and they take forever to respond. Somethings are common sense like changing a med what's all the steps. NOT just step 1-3, Yes, I am a patient of yours but will be switching. All this money for poor care. I hope the new Doctor stays and helps the office shape up. Communication*** , Why is your practice open besides taking money from patients. HIs staff did the best they could - but really - he operated like he is officing in the back of a van - ready to pull out anytime. He is disheveled, and not in the distracted genius way - more in the "I care nothing about patients, certainly not enough to be prepared for their visit" way. He prescribed meds that have a KNOWN interaction with my current meds; which, if he READ my file, he would have seen that I was currently taking. He was abusive! Just a mean spirited person. Was ill prepared, Ill informed. His medical care was like dealing with a customer service rep for lost baggage at the airport - yup, that bad! Just shot out responses without listening to questions and (no exageration) yelled at me when I asked questions.

Very friendly and knowledgeable doctor and helpful and courteous staff.

Very caring neurologist. He and the staff were quick to take care of issues; scripts tests etc.

Dr Gomez and staff have been excellent in all facets of care. After going to a few big practices, this has by far been the best.

Incredibly caring and knowledgeable. Makes personal phone calls to check to see how his patients are feeling - not many doctors in this day and age have the time nor the compassion to do something like that.

Gomez ordered lab test, then failed to report alarming positive result (subdural hematoma) for nearly 6 weeks. In the interim, patient got on a plane, exposing himself to low pressures which needed to be avoided given his (unknown to him) condition. Subsequent to plane flight, patient experienced fresh subdural bleeding. It is appalling that patient was not told in a timely fashion by this doctor that the test showed subdural hematoma and that he should avoid plane travel.

I first met Dr Gomez when his office did an EMG for the other Neuro I was seeing. I found him very pleasant and courteous. My neurologist office closed and I chose to go here. I was first seen by Tracy and she decided to do a skin biopsy for sfn because of some of the symptoms I was having that had been undiagnosed by 2 previous neuros. The biopsy came back revealing sfn. I now have had my care through Dr Gomez and am grateful their office finally gave me some answers.

I liked him very much. He is very thorough. Found the staff to be very patient and compassionate too.

Staff member 'Joel' was highly aggresive at every turning point in the treatment process. I was unable to pay a $290 fee for becoming registered as a medical cannabis patient when I was expecting to have coverage with my insurance that this office accepts. After a lengthy visit, I was registered for the program I was looking into thought after learning I did not have cash in hand to make a payment, they assumed I would never be paying and within less than a week Dr. Gomez cancelled my registration before allowing me to search all avenues for financing and out of respect didnt continue my registration until I was going to be able to establish payment. Staff member 'Joel' told me NEVER to come back ever, period, because I was unable to afford an immediate payment (mind you my co pay is $0 and Gomez accepts my health insurance program) the attitude of the staff and the inability to reach a staff member in a simple and timely manner gives Gomez Nuerology 1 star in my book. If I could leave a negative 5 for his staff I would and that would be generous. His staff is the worst I've ever encountered. I've left 5 messages in the last week and no one has had the decency to return my calls. They are negligent, misinformed, uncaring, misguided, uncourteous, unresponsive and lack social skills. Don't expect calls back and if you need any kind of documentation make sure you ask for it a month in advance cause you'll never get it by your deadline.

Overall just don't go here, I needed Botox for my migraines.. They have massage tables as patient beds in their rooms.. I needed an appointment as my insurance was coming to an end at the end of December and i called the office at the end of November to set this up. I was already seen for Botox once there. His secretary told me that its hard to get him to set up a date for him to do it, staff is rude and Dr Gomez ultimately ended up yelling at me and told me he would no longer see me.

He took the time to hear me, and work with me in new ways no other doctor has before! He works hard to manage my care and is available for emergencies.

De Gomez is absolutely wonderful, he is so kind and compassionate . Best Doctor by far for pain management in the Albany area. I highly recommend.

Wonderful experience. Great off ice staff.

Called yesterday to ask if a new patient can be seen within 2-4 days. Was asked to get medical recorda from primary doc. Came to the office and signed release form and called my doc's office to fax records. The lady at front desk assured I would be seen within few days. This morning I called to check and a man answered- he had the fax but no info on me! He said no appointment until a month and the lady is not there. When I insisted, was very rude and asked to go to other doc. Worst doc office:-(

All staff and Dr. Gomez are focused on providing a non-threatening, pleasant experience for their patients. They are very comforting and I had a pleasant visit.
