I can't recommend Dr. Caycedo enough. He and staff are exceptionally professional, efficient and courteous. My mom had emergency surgery due to a fall. Dr. Caycedo followed up her recovery process until completely healed.

He performed 3 surgeries only making matters worse. I went in with a simple fractured cuboid and left with severe damage to my foot and toes. My foot was so messed up that my ankle had to be fused. I would never use this Dr again!

After having multiple surgeries on my amputated leg, I was referred to Dr Caycedo. This was the best decision I could have made. He was able to address the problem promptly. Typically it takes 6 weeks or longer to heal from a revision surgery. After 3 weeks I was able to get fitted for my prosthetic and walk on it immediately. Doc was very knowledge and professional. DR.CAYCEDO DID SURGERY TWICE, ONE ON MY BROKEN ANKLE, WHICH HE HAD TO PUT A PLATE AND SCREWS, AND THE OTHER WAS FOR CAPETON AND BOTH WITH WELL, HE'S A VERY GOOD DOCTOR

Dr Caycedo helped us through a very difficult & precarious situation. He’s very thorough & attentive. I really don’t like some of his staff but he is great.

I saw Dr Caycedo the first time to get a second opinion about having bunion surgery and a pin placed in or near my big toe. Dr Caycedo diagnosed my problem as inflamed sesamoid bones. He ordered a walking boot for a few weeks and then sent me to an amazing and affordable pedontist for shoe orthotics. No surgery was needed! What a difference! The second reason I saw Dr Caycedo was for a fractured ankle due to a fall at work. He and his staff took great care of my painful ankle. They were very gentle and kind and did a good job teaching me to care for my ankle. I highly recommend Dr Caycedo. Dr. Caycedo and his staff were outstanding from the first office visit to the after surgery follow ups. Everything was thoroughly explained and the treatment outlined was easy to follow. I would recommend Dr. Caycedo and his team for anyone having for Orthopedic problems. My surgery went without any problems and I was back on my feet a lot sooner than I expected. Dr. Caycedo is also one of the friendliest doctors I have ever encountered and it is clearly apparent the he cares for his patients. I was very impressed by the visit I had with Dr. Caycedo. He explained what was going on with my ankle in terms that I could understand. He also gave me a print out so that I could read in my spare time. This has helped me a lot with what’s going on with my ankle pain. The staff members in his office are so nice, very helpful and professional. Thanks for all you do and keep up the good work!!!

Dr Caycedo is the best there is. I wish he could treat me for every thing wrong with me. he has work on my foot before. I went in the hospital on Friday he was off and not on call. the on call doctor said we were going to wait till Dr Caycedo got in on Monday. That was on Saturday and later in the day Dr Caycedo come in my room and did surgery on Sunday

Great experience with Dr. Caycedo. I had a plate inserted after breaking an ankle. He listened to my concerns and followed up with my progress throughout physical therapy.

Was referred to Dr. Caycedo by my regular ortho doctor for a tendon tear in my ankle. He first put me in a boot and recommended therapy, which didn't help. Eventually surgery had to be done. To say I am pleased with the results is an understatement. It has been a slow process, but I am back working out at the gym, no swelling or discomfort. As far as I am concerned, he worked a miracle! This Dr.? ruined my foot!! I am still suffering from the unnecessary surgery he did on my foot over 2 yrs ago. I pointed out a sore between 2 toes to my PCP, Dr. Paul Scalisi that was not healing. (I did not know diabetics took longer to heal). He referred me to his good friend, Francisco Caycedo who proceeded to operate, inserted a pin and worse of all, cut something that made all of my toes turn under. I now walk on the Knuckels? of my toes instead of the pad like my other foot as like I did before his butchery. I almost lost a toe on this foot due to an infection which was indirectly caused by his incompetence!! A UAB doctor was able to save most of it. I would give him a minus 5 stars if possible. I am reminded of this daily due to the pain and at times the need to use a cane as it has affected my balance. I hope this is posted and will help someone else avoid these problems. Dot H. Three of the reviews are FAKE Olga is his nurse the other works in his office Don't do it went to this Dr. to get a plate removed from my foot from previous surgery three years ago. I had the screws and plate sticking out of the top of my foot. He was to take plate out and no incision to fix a possible pinched nerve. Instead he left me with very painful plate sticking out of my foot. He went in and shortened my TOES and made them curl under. Left the hospital before I woke up refused to tell my husband what he did only that he left plate in. When asked why he said don't worry we got this. The following Monday 4 days later with me screaming in pain the took of the cast he had put on he used the wrong stuff to put in on and i had Huge score the size of quarters where it had caused blood blisters. I took a nurse friend to the visit and he sat there and lied saying he was worried about stress fractures if he took plate out. he could have at least tighten the screws. My friend said if you were worried about stress fractures why did you not have cadaver bone to fill in. He looked like a deer caught in headlights stating we will do that next time. Well trust is earned no next time with you. Used one of his associates for the rest of my post op and that a whole other story and bad review. Stay away he has done this to several people and is jeopardy of loosing his licence. He left someone else's plate in the same week. He has several lawsuits next Medical board complaint he will be done. Dark Blue is showing where plate was left in which was only reason for surgery no problem with toes. light blue in more blood blisters from HIS bandages I think it was sandpaper this was taken 2 days after surgery and I barely left couch. Dr. Caycedo you will not get by with these fake reviews the packages of complaints to Medical Board went out today against you and Dr. Morris you will not get by with doing this to anyone else. He will not get by with destroying anyone else on my watch. Had to hire out of town attorney I don't care about the money I want to stop you from hurting people. I have also sent all information about you to ICE I do not believe you are here legally or that you ever had a licence or medical degree when you got here. After a complicated knee trauma i have been to different physicians in birmingham. I thought my knee won`t be the same anymore since my collegue recommended Dr. Caycedo. First I was skeptical because there was no specialist that could help me before. But it was the best decision that I could make! I have known Dr. Caycedo for over 20 years. He is one of the most professional, kind and knowledgable individuals I have ever known. He has a wonderful bedside manner and takes time to explain everything to his patients. I recommend him without reservation. Do not let angry people's comments cloud your judgement. Dr Caycedo is a great specialist. He diagnosed and treated my problem with great results. He does not recommend surgery without strong medical evidence that it is to the benefit of the patient. He takes time with each patient to explain issues and surgical options. Will strongly recommend this doctor.

I became a patient of Dr. Caycedo’s when I broke my ankle in February. Dr. Caycedo and his staff - all are first class in all respects. They give you the best medical care. Fantastic skills diagnosing the issue and he's without a doubt a very skilled surgeon. Also, his bedside manner is excellent. I cannot thank Dr. Caycedo and his staff enough for their constant kindness, determination, and support during this trying time. Simply put, he's the only doctor I'd see for a foot or ankle problem.

Great surgeon,compassionate and trustable MD. I have known Dr Caycedo for years. As a physical therapist, I have had the opportunity to treat several of his post operative patients including my son's complicated ankle fracture. I have witnessed a successful outcome with his patients and most of them have been able to return to sports or prior activities without restrictions. I widely recommend Dr Caycedo for his knowledge, intelligence and capacity to help others.

I was very pleased with my treatment and surgery from Dr. Caycedo for a broken fibula. All his recovery estimates were spot on. He was very responsive when I had issues related to my surgery and recovery, and I never waited more than 10 minutes to see him. Best of all, I am pretty much at 100% again after only 3 months, exercising regularly and vigorously. I would definitely use Dr. Caycedo again for an injury - but I am hoping I never have to ;-)

Awesome doctor

I was very pleased with Dr. Caycedo. He was on call for my emergency surgery on my broken fibula. He was personable, compassionate, and professional. His staff is also polite and professional. His office runs on time and he is approachable concerning your care. I recommend him highly.

Dr. Caycedo came to my rescue after an unexpected ankle fracture. This was my first major injury, but he put me at ease with his enthusiasm and optimism. He always made sure I understood necessary surgeries and therapies, and was happy to answer any questions I had. I do think the staff who fit you for a boot could do a better explanation of how to use it in different scenarios, such as stairs. Despite this, Dr. Caycedo has been a pleasure to work with throughout my recovery. Highly recommended!

A very caring surgeon, I was having extreme pain in arch and foot from a torn ligament. The surgery required was a very intense surgery with lengthy recovery. I have other medical conditions that would have impeded my ability to do the necessary post op rehab.He worked with me by ordering physical therapy, advice on shoes and orthotics and ordered a leg brace. Due to his care and compassion surgery was not required and I am able to walk without pain. The leg brace is now only used as needed.

VERY CORDIAL, PROFESSIONAL AND HUMAN, I DID NOT FEEL LIKE NOT JUST A NUMBER, VERY FAST TURN AROUND TIME TO SEE ME AND TO PERFORM SURGERY, HIS STAFF VERY PROFESSIONAL AND NICE. THANK YOU DR. CAYCEDO. MIL GRACIAS.

Dr. Caycedo is an old hand, with 30 years of experience, he knows what he doing. He explained my problems and gave me two options with his recommendation, and then encouraged me to wait 1 day to make up my mind for how to fix a serious ankle break. I followed his advice, and after surgery my ankle is growing stronger with no complications.
