I worked with my GP for multiple years to improve my metabolic health and I wasn't able to make any positive changes. I was referred to Dr. Khan in Jan. '22 and it was life changing. From my very first appointment, she demonstrated she cared about me and was committed to supporting me on my journey to improve my health. She listened to my concerns and goals, asked clarifying questions, and recommended a medical plan to help me achieve a successful outcome. I felt she truly became my advocate when my insurance company initially denied the Rx. She continued to work with my insurance company to verify I met the criteria for coverage and could get the Rx. She definitely went above and beyond! In subsequent visits, Dr. Khan was always personable and took the time to listen and to provide positive feedback and recommendations for continued success on my plan. I am grateful for Dr. Khan’s care and highly recommend her.

I have been dealing with Type II Diabetes for years, actually began as Insulin Resistant more than 20 years ago. Have had good doctors before but mainly received diet recommendations and ever increasing prescriptions. Dr. Khan and her team have been diligent with blood tests and discussing options with me, we are working together to reduce and/or eliminate different prescriptions. She has made me feel that my concerns and questions are important and both she and staff have been supportive and celebrate accomplishments in my A1c improvements etc. I found scheduling to be easy and convenient appointment times available.

Dr. Khan is the most kind, compassionate and smart Doctor I know. She is from Pakistan and she has a very gentle nature. I have PCOS and had to get it under-control for a while now, I now feel better physically and mentally. She is very thorough and patient. Not sure what the other person is talking about when they said dismissive. She is a busy Dr. so come prepared with questions.

Dr Khan is condescending, quick to dismiss you and you wishes, and horrible at listen to her patients.

I had PCOS for years but I was struggling to manage it after the birth of my daughter. I didn’t feel like I was getting the right guidance from other doctors on what to do to manage my PCOS during and after nursing. She came up with a solid plan to help me begin to manage my hormone levels and get back on track. Other doctors had told me that birth control was a necessary solution to regulating my hormones and periods, but Dr. Khan focused on fixing those hormone levels and not just putting a bandaid on the PCOS. She told me by fixing the underlying issues, my period issues would resolve and they quickly did. She knew this was especially important to me as we begin to plan for baby #2. You can tell she is very knowledgeable and thorough - I have learned things from her in just 2 visits that I didn’t know in 8 years of precious PCOS treatment. She is honest, gives you the facts, and helps you align on a treatment plan that meets your goals and hers. I highly recommend Dr. Kahn!

I saw Dr Khan twice. My first appointment she told me, with very little information, she thought I had PCOS. A big diagnosis with little data to back up the diagnosis. At this appointment, Dr. Khan ran some tests and told me to follow up in a couple months. At the 2nd appointment when she came into the room, she didn’t know anything about me. Didn’t know how many times I had seen her, why I was there, or what meds she actually prescribed me. After she read through my chart, she said she couldn’t find anything wrong with me, as my labs came back mostly normal. I have been diabetic for over twenty years. Under Dr. Kahn's care, I have lost thirty-three pounds, and decreased insulin intake from 300 units per day to 150. This is the first time I have maintained a normal A1C for any appreciable amount of time.

She’s a true blessing! I was struggling with PCOS. She was very thorough with my labs and symptoms. She came up with a solid plan to help me begin to manage my hormone levels. I know so many women that are just told by their providers to go on Birth Control (which ultimately is just covering up the symptoms of PCOS). Dr. Khan focuses on fixing those hormone levels and not just putting a bandaid on the syndrome. I can tell she truly cares for her patients. You can tell she is very knowledgeable and thorough. She is honest and gives you manageable instruction. I can’t say enough good things about her. I’ve recommended friends to her and will continue to do so!

I have been seeing Dr. Khan for almost 10 years. She is the most amazing woman and Endocrinologist. She will tell you what you need to hear... she wants her patients at their best and she will do whatever is necessary to help you get there!

She is very smart, very kind. easy to talk to, always respond to my questions in a very fast manner.

Dr Khan has completely turned my ailing health around with her unique mix of science and art. I’m 71, 20 years a diabetic, on concentrated insulin for 5 years and getting heavier and more tired by the day. I first saw Dr Khan three months ago. She had studied my chart in depth before our visit and asked pointed discovery questions about my lifestyle when we met. She set goals we can track progress against, developed a strategy to meet the goals and I started her action plan. In three months, my insulin consumption has gone down by over 50%, I’ve lost 10 pounds, I’m sleeping better than I have for years and I’m motivated to do better. Dr Kahn is very personable and compassionate, an expert at what she does and treats the whole patient rather than just my diabetes. Dr. Farha Khan is the perfect match if you are looking for a doctor to be a partner to help you reach your health goals. She actively listens, explains the options and takes the time to your concerns. Since becoming a patient of hers I have made major progress in getting my diabetes under control and losing weight. My medications have been cut in half and i feel better than I have for a long time.

Amazing doc. I had a thyroid condition which was making me extremely fatigued Dr khan created a plan for me which was thorough and efficient. She is so lovely I look forward to my next apppitment with her!

It sounds like she's fantastic if you're thin or if you're seeing her with the goal of losing weight. I'm seeing all kinds of reviews here that sound like they are about a completely different doctor than the one I saw. For that reason alone I'm giving her 2 stars instead of one. If you're overweight and looking for someone to recommend bariatric surgery within 3 minutes of meeting while ignoring all of your other health concerns, Dr. Khan is the person for you! If you're looking to have every single doctor you see after you see her obsess about your weight and use it to explain away every single non-weight related health issue you have (because of things she put in your chart and because she's highly respected) she's also the person for you! If those aren't your goals and you're not thin, stay far away. Seriously. I haven't been able to get proper medical help since seeing her. It's been a nightmare.

I Look forward to every visit- Dr Khan Means the world to me- She is the VERY BEST doctor I have seen - she is so knowledgeable and caring - She has been MY Doctor for quite a while and I would follow her anywhere for the Great Care I get and continue to receive! I am in such amazement at your care for me as your patient. First, your front desk staff are so kind and helpful. Secondly, your nurse is caring and attentive. Finally, you Dr. Khan - when I first came to see you I did not know what to expect but you exceeded all expectations. Your knowledge and questions helped you to assess how you would evaluate my conditions and develop a treatment plan. After going to different doctors and facing uncertainty as to what caused my weight gain and insomnia and other related issues, I was so pleased to finally talk to someone who took such a personal interest in me. It is hard to get an appointment with you and I waited 3 months to see you - you are well worth the wait! I would highly recommend you to everyone I know especially women, mothers, working moms, women trying to conceive and any man or woman who is looking for a caring, incredibly gifted physician who treats from the heart with sincerity and warmth. I have struggled for years trying to control my blood sugars and A1C. Within 9 months of seeing Dr. Khan, my A1C dropped from 11 to 6.6! Dr. Khan is pure magic! She found the right combination of meds to help my numbers get back in to an amazing range and I also lost 45 pounds doing it. Dr. Khan always takes the time to listen and discuss. She is very kind and compassionate as is her staff. I couldn't be happier or more pleased with my progress guided by Dr. Khan. So many heartfelt thanks and deep gratitude for all the she has done for me.

Dr. Kahn and her nurse, Manda, always go above and beyond to help me. They take time to answer questions I may have an reassure me when I may be worried about my thyroid cancer coming back. I have always felt a priority with Dr. Kahn and that she truly cares about me as a person, not just a patient. I highly recommend her.

Dr. Khan is extremely kind, educated and supportive. I travel an hour to see her at her practice. Her nurse Monda and her diabetes educator Heather are so helpful. and supportive since diabetic care is not just a 9-5 disease. Dr. Khan communicates clearly and celebrates good things happening and help correct things that are not working. She is so thoughtful and loves her patients! A+++ I am grateful for all her care for several years.

Dr. Khan was wonderful to work with. She took the time to listen and ask questions and let me know that I was an active partner in evaluating options. She was caring and she is good communicator.

She's patient and kind and listens when I need to talk.

Difficult to get in to see her for routine appts, because she is so good. However she is working on getting people to help alleviate that. Also, I had a situation where I needed help after hours and she was easily reached, and followed up multiple times with me after hours to make sure everything was okay. I was impressed and reassured that I had a great doc.

I am a newer patient of Dr. Khans. Since I began seeing her, my life has changed. Dr. Khan was a real inspiration to me, and encouraged me to start taking my type 2 diabetes seriously. I have been a diabetic for nearly 30 years and have never met a Dr. that showed so much compassion and concern as Dr. Khan. I was diagnosed hashimotos/hypothyroid over 30 years ago and have seen a number of different endocrinologists. It was such a pleasant surprise to find Dr. Khan. The entire experience, the receptionist, the nurse and even the lab was better than I could have ever imagined a doctor visit could be. Dr. Khan was thorough, personable, knowledgeable and by far the best doctor I have ever been to. I highly recommend both Dr. Khan and her staff.

After battling with what I thought was heart problems turned out to be Hyperthyroidism and I am so thankful that I was able to find by far the best team of Endocrinologists @ North Memorial Specialty. Dr. Khan and Dr. Rettig's level of expertise is phenomenal and I highly recommend anyone who is suffering from thyroid concerns or knows anyone to please not hesitate and give them a call. You will be in great hands with the level of hands on experience that is provided. I owe it all to you guys!!!

Dr.Khan was the first Dr who actually just listened to me vs other Dr's who just did what would get them more money. She completely changed and helped my life by prescribing me to Victoza. I was having issues losing weight and by meeting with her and talking, I have successfully lost 30 lbs. Thank you Dr.Khan for being the best Dr for me. You are truly about wanting to help your patients.

Dr. Kahn did not beat around the bush with me. She told it like it is, and I appreciated that. She told me what I needed to do, and how to do it. I'm hoping all the advice she gave me will save me a lot of health problems in the future.

Dr Khan cares about her patients a great deal. Not only does she monitor diabetes mgmt. progress but she also inquires about personal life challenges that could also affect results. I highly recommend Dr Khan,

I have been working with Dr Khan for over 4 years now. She has helped me bring my adult onset Type 1 Diabetes under control. Her care is excellent in all facets: knowledge, experience, timeliness, manner etc. I would highly recommend Dr. Khan to anyone seeking help with their diabetic needs. I have seen several Endo Doctors in the metro area over the years to treat my Type 1 Diabetes and Dr. Khan has by FAR been the best. She looks at the entire person, including the stressors in their life, and takes that into consideration when working on treatments and changes. I have never felt like a number with her or her team. In addition, she is supportive and never shaming when discussing bad A1C tests. She is willing to take time with you to explain any questions you may have as well.

Dr. Khan is awesome. I came in to her office feeling extremely under confident in myself due to being overweight, however when I went to see her she walked me through everything and help boosted my confidence. I have now gotten my weight under control and because of Dr.Khan am at a Lower risk for Dr. Khan. She is extremely compassionate, kind and personable. I would highly recommend her.

I am shocked by some of the negative reviews on this forum. My experience has been completely opposite. I have been a patient of Dr. Khan's since 2004 and every appointment has been thorough. Dr. Khan not only treats me based on my lab values but takes great consideration of my signs and symptoms and overall self-assessment. I am also a nurse and I have to say, if you are a physician who can impress a nurse, you must be doing something right...we are some of the harshest critics.

I felt my concerns haven’t been fully heard and all I’ve become is a a walking synthroid patient. Will be looking for a new Dr.

Every time I leave my appointment with Dr Khan I feel like she did not listen to me, is not interested in listening to me, and is rushing me out the door. She ignores questions and is rude. I was referred to her because she is supposed to be so thorough... this was absolutely NOT my experience. I would not recommend her.

I met Dr. Khan at an ADA function, and my wife (a medical professional) knows her. She is one of the most knowledgable endocrinologists I have met in a while, and I respect her capabilities. The only downside is that she schedules patients 5-6 months out. That alone should speak to how valued she is to her patients.

After spending years trying to find a doctor who could look at the whole picture, and provide supportive, knowledgeable and actionable guidance, I finally found Dr. Khan. I can't say enough good things about the care I've received from her and her awesome staff. If you are struggling to get a better handle on your diabetes, this is the doctor and the team to see.

I LOVE Dr. Khan ! She is the best! She is knowledgeable, compassionate and she encourages me in my health goals she never scolds. She builds my confidence and supports me ! I honestly wish she was my primary MD. I drive a half hour to see her and would drive further if I had to. She is remarkable!

She listens and cares. I have taken my elderly mother to see her for several years and would never want to see someone else instead. My mother feels very well taken care of.
