Excellent Doctor he very caring and understanding

I would have to say that Dr Bernard and his support teams ratings are way better than what the web site shows. Every one has a role there and from my short experience they all do their part. Just like a motor, a lot of parts and finely tuned.

This is the second time I have gone to see Dr. Bernard 4 years apart. Each time he assures me my neck problems are not serious enough for surgery. In today's knife happy world it is nice to see a doctor who will do everything possible to keep you from having surgery which often does little to correct the problem. We are indeed lucky to have him in Alaska.

He doesn’t believe in radiculopathy. He only treats if he believes the nerve root is impinged. He offers no help for those who have back pain and numbness/cramping from disc protrusion.

I had a good overall experience with Anchorage Neurosurgical. Dr. Bernard is an excellent doctor both professionally and personally. I like that he is not too stuffy as many surgeons are. I would refer anyone needing a neurosurgeon to Dr. Bernard or Anchorage Neurosurgical. Dr. Bernard's PA's were also very kind, helpful and informative. Rachel the surgery scheduler was great to work with. It was difficult finding a surgery date and she was patient and worked with me until we found one.

Dr. Bernard always takes the time to listen to all my concerns and he is an amazing neurosurgeon.

Wonderful experience! Dr. Bernard took more time and through exam then previous doctors I have seen. He has exceptional be side manner and very conservative. If and when I get where surgery is warranted and the risks outweigh the benefits I will not hesitate to see Dr.Bernard. Barbara B.

Really happy with doctor Estrada, I went to him for a second opinion after a different doctor in town told me I needed back surgery and tried to sign me up for it right away. Dr Estrada is very proffesional, took the time to examine me (unlike the other Doctor) and said surgery is not needed. I'm so thankful for getting a second opinion and not going with the first Doctor. A month later and I feel 100%. No surgery needed. Dr Estrada is a 5 star in my book.
