I’ve seen him on and off since childhood. I think he is one of the best physicians I’ve ever seen across disciplines. It’s unfortunate to see his name maligned by some of these google reviews. Dr. Eaker saw my sister Donna in a timely manner after a home test showed positive for cancer. The Westglen group sent him to NKC and he did an EGD and a complicated colonoscopy on a fixed colon when no-one else would even try. Sasha was very helpful and informative as well. Worst experience I've ever had with a doctor...horrible bedside manner, close minded and made me feel like I was an imposition. My husband went with me to my appointment and he said when we left "Having just seen how he treated you, I now completely understand when women say they feel degraded and that their opinions don't matter when talking to certain men. I think if it had been my appointment he would have been great, but since it was yours and your a female he treated you horribly". I told him my symptoms and he said they were no way GI related. We left there and I went to an urgent care. I told them my symptoms, they said they thought they knew exactly what it was and they are absolutely GI related and ordered the proper blood work and testing to get it all confirmed. They also set me up with an amazing doctor who tended to me when I was a patient in the hospital last year but wasnt accepting new patients at the time. I felt extremely uncomfortable and unsafe in his care and called the office before we were even out of the parking lot and told them I would never be back. Excellent listener and diagnostician. He does not give up when a diagnosis is difficult and pursues testing until he finds the cause of the patient's problems. A friend recommended Dr Eaker, based on her own experience (nurse and patient). I'm glad I listened. I walked out of the first meeting with Dr Eaker with a feeling of hope after other doctors had given up.

Dr. Eaker cared for my daughter after a bout with cancer that resulted in several small bowel resections of her small intestine leaving her with only 1.5 feet of small intestine (the normal human has 20ft). Never once did this man treat her with respect, never put her on enteral feeding, just told her she could eat nothing. After she got down to 68lbs and almost died and I called a conference did something get done. But this man had the nerve to tell my 25yr old daughter NOT to bother seeing him again. He was rude, had a terrible bedside manner and acted as if his patients were just a "bother" to him. I wouldn't recommend him to my worst enemy! Dr Eaker has a very good bedside manor. He very confidently spoke about a clear plan for my treatment. I would definitely say he is a great doctor.

My wife recently had a visit with this guy. He was so rude and judgmental that she left the office in tears and was unable to continue working the rest of the day. She went to him for help and his response was basically that it was all "in her head" This guy was referred by our family practitioner, who's opinions and judgment I am now also starting to question.
