The most attentive, knowledgeable and caring Endocrinologist I have ever had. He is absolutely amazing!! I have been diagnosed with thyroid/Hashimoto's since I was 5 years old (so for 21 years) and it was very hard to find an adult Endocrinologist. Filled out all the new patient forms, was instructed to fax all my records, and drove over 3 hours for my first appointment. Dr. Rushovich did not have my records (they were in his other office and he had never seen them). Thankfully, I brought another copy with me. He mostly looked in his computer for most of the visit, did a quick physical exam, then told me he wasn't going to do anything yet b/c he didn't know me. 2nd visit...pretty much the same. Impersonal. Unhelpful. Never returned.

A wonderful caring doctor! He took my concerns seriously and helped me understand the problem.

The most inconsiderate and dismissive doctor I've ever seen in my life. He actually said to me "why are you here? I saw you four years ago for the same problem; what you want from me". I have never felt so dismissive from a doctor ever in my life. And to make matters worse he told me "I'll come back to you when I'm done doing my biopsy" he left our appointment walked out of the room and left me there. I waited 5 minutes before I was so upset I checked myself out. I will NEVER return to this Dr.

I met with Dr. Rushovich a few days ago. He was very dismissive to my problems. He stated "what do you want me to do?" I fought back the tears and left. He is not very personable and seems to lack empathy. Endocrinology isn't an exact science. What works for one person may or may not work for another. Trial and error, time, effort and care is needed. He showed me none of these things. I will not be returning to his office, not that he cares.

You get tests, he gives you pills. There no supplementary information to help you. You ask questions and he just shrugs you off. He fails to share critical information like the fact that once you go on the meds you can't go off, which I unfortunately did after two years of no relief to my symptoms thinking I would try natural diet and exercise means.
