Reviews for Erick A Arce
Dr Arce ordered a lumbar puncture to be done on me for vague tingly symptoms I was experiencing . He did nothing to re assure me , caused panic , did not tell me the risks of a spinal tap when asked several times . a week after the tap I got sudden horrible tinnitus that has yet to resolve a year later . He offered no help with this condition and took no accountability. DO NOT SEE THIS DOCTOR

I’ve had this appointment scheduled since October. I got to my 8:30 appointment at 8:33 this morning. I was the only one in the office. They immediately turned me away as he likes his patients there 30 mins early. I was not able to leave my house that early as I have obligations. I made sure I brought my scans and every piece of info I have received on the ticking time bomb in my head- I made it apparent I was dealing with something serious. I get bad headaches daily and I’ve had them for months so it was important I wasn’t turned away. At 8:37 I asked her (begged really) to please have some compassion and ask the doctor in the empty office room. No one would speak to me about it. She said she would be happy to type a letter that they are turning me away and never came out again the front desk lady handed me this. Not sure what to say except I will never forget the day I neeeded help and wasn’t able to get it because he didn’t feel like it . I’m writing this in shock and tears but I will find another doctor. We have to do better as a community .
Experience: Bad. It was a huge mistake visiting this man's office. Character: He was bombastic about being a neurologist, rude, and condescending like others have described him. He did not look, behave, talk, listen, or act anything like a doctor. What went wrong: 1) During my visit he was fixated on a narrow view painted only in his head about the reason for my visit. 2) His loud voice and tone were inappropriate. 3) His notes deviated from facts. 4) His conclusions boil down to his inability to make a clear assessment of any value. 5) His mistaken perception led him to hear only bits of information that supported his thoughts, while ignoring the main problem. My personal opinion: I strongly believe this man does not deserve the honorable title of being a doctor.
It was a huge mistake visiting Dr. Arce to seek neurological advice. This is not because he was unable to make an accurate assessment, but also because he twisted my narrative as a patient. He ballooned a minor issue and dismissed all major symptoms as not neurological in nature include headache, nausea, and dizziness. He was so fixated on a picture within his head about "confusion" and wrote his after-visit notes around it. He was very rude lacking any communication skills that could make his wrong assessment palatable. All I wanted to know if I my symptoms point to a potential stroke three days earlier. Nothing else. This doctor failed terribly to listen to the problem, understand the problem, analyze the problem, or come up with any reasonable outcome. Nothing! I only wasted my time and my insurance money to a useless doctor.
Dr Arce is a 1 in a million human who happens to be a doctor. Caring, Compassionate, Prompt, Knowledgeable and his office staff are Angels.
It's been three years since I saw Dr. Arce and I still think about my terrible experience with him, so I decided I should write a review. I went to him because my dad had a good experience with him years prior, which makes me wonder if he treats young, female patients differently.... Anyway, like others have said, I found him to be condescending and dismissive of my concerns. The worse part of my experience was the fact that he had his assistant leave a voicemail telling me I had positive test results and saying she'd make a referral to another neurologist. I was confused, terrified, and outraged. Not even an opportunity to talk to her let alone the doctor about what this could mean. The only reason I gave him 2 stars is because he did ultimately refer me to a competent specialist but the experience with him was overall traumatizing. I would not recommend anyone see him. Such a lovely doctor. So compassionate and caring.
Horrible bedside manner. He didn’t want to hear much about my issues and cut me off and told me my issues weren’t neurological. He was condescending and acted as if my wanting tests was an inconvenience and waste of time. He’s terrible!!
He helped get me into see a specialist very quickly and was essential in my healthcare.

Not only was this doctor rude, but when I confronted him, he just mocked me. I took a day off of work for an appointment, he didn't listen to what I said, tried to put me on a med that has side effects I was concerned about, and didn't listen to that, but then mocked me when I told him he was being rude. His reviews seem to have this common theme, I don't care if he is a doctor or not, we pay for these services and no one has the right to be treated like this.
Like others reported, this doctor was rude. When I told him that, he just responded, I'm not rude just the facts. Was very short, told me that I needed to be on 3 meds to try another one, I told him I was and he ignored it, then put me on something that I was concerned about then lectured me for raising concerns. Then went on to tell me that he wasn't discussing over a portal now I need to schedule a follow up visit making it seem like he was punishing me to come back to him. I am spoiled by Dr. Moffa, he is great and makes you feel like he genuinely cares, this doctor seemed arrogant and rude to me. There are plenty of others to give my time and money to who don't treat patients like this. After reading others experience I feel even more like I am validated in the way he acted because I had the same experience as others.
Horrible doctor went for my first visit and he was mean and cold. Then he accused me of saying something i did not say. Never would recommend this doctor ever.....
My adult daughter just left there, upset and frustrated because of the poor care she received in this office by Dr. Arce. He's very rude, doesn't care and made her feel as if she was wasting his time. Shame on you! Awful! Go elsewhere. I will be reporting him as I also work within the Ohio Health community.
Dr. Arce was rude and seemed like he didn't even have a neurologist diploma. Just gave my Husband medicine and not running any tests. He raised his voice at both of us. So inappropriate and not professional. Didn't want to listen.
Dr. Arce is unprofessional, and inappropriate. I met with him recently for prolonged concussion symptoms. He constantly interrupted me while I was trying to answer his questions. He raised his voice a few times to talk over me. He accused me of making up symptoms for litigation purposes (I do not have active litigation). Then proceeded to tell me he doesn’t have much experience with concussions. Why accept a concussion referral? He is incredibly rude and condescending. Dr. Arce is unprofessional, and inappropriate. Dr Arce listened to all my concerns, addressed them in a professional manner and went through all of my MRI scans with me so I could understand the imaging. He did some assessments and has referred me for further testing. Very professional and punctual!
Dr. Arce has been the first doctor who has taken the time to find a medication that lessens my chronic migraines. He is very thorough and really listens to me! I am so blessed to have found him. I went from an average of 15 migraine days a month to an average of 3 thanks to him. Every other doctor I have been to for migraines have basically dismissed my migraines which has led to many years of unnecessary pain. Dr Arce was very rushed, although I made sure to show up early. He was aggravated when I didn't recognize the names of migraine medication and would cut me off when I'd try to explain my symptoms. He rushed through the appointment and left me with more questions than answers. I agree with a previous reviewer that his bedside manner leaves a lot to be desired. However, his CNP Brenda Reese is very kind and takes her time to go over and discuss what's going on with your health. I personally will not book with Dr Arce again but I will see Brenda in the future.
My experience with Dr. Arce was terrible. Save your time and go somewhere else. I felt as he was talking down to me. If he explained something to me it was in a negative tone. He was upset because I asked about side effects of medication and asked me if I could afford it!!!! He needs bedside manner training.
Excellent. Dr. Arce is thorough, knowledgeable and highly professional. I have referred a friend to him and her experience also was very positive.
My mom has been going to Dr. Arce for many years. She absolutely loves him. He has gone above and beyond by coordinating different treatments and medications and has her seizures under control. He is always kind, compassionate and listens attentively to all of her concerns even though she repeats herself quite a bit. He never rushes through the visit. Would not see me for a second opinion. Said I should follow instructions of first neurologist, even though both my family physician and I believed that doctor missed something. Clearly Dr. Arce belongs the the “boys club” and won’t even consider another neurologist could be wrong or maybe just missed something. This is a red flag on the type of doctor he must be - he obviously does not have an open mind and pre-judges his potential patients. Be wary of seeing him - while I’m sure his education is strong, his interpersonal skills and compassion are severely lacking. Would not see me for a second opinion. IF YOU EXPECT TO BE TREATED FAIRLY, GO SOMEPLACE ELSE. YOU BETTER DRESS NICE, LOOK NICE, AND COME FROM SOMEWHERE NICE OR YOU WON'T GET PROPPER CARE. MY WIFE WAS REFERED TO MR. ARCE BY THE VA. WHEN HE FOUND OUT SHE WAS FROM CHILLICOTHE HE REFUSED TO GIVE HER A MEDICAION THAT WORKS, THAT SHE'S BEEN ON FOR YEARS BECAUSE "WE ALL KNOW WHAT CHILLICOTHE IS LIKE". YEAH, JUDGEMENTAL POS SHOULDN'T BE KEPT IN PRACTICE AND THE OHIO BOARD WILL GET A REPORT. IF YOU EXPECT TO BE TREATED FAIRLY, GO SOMEPLACE ELSE. We had a great experience with Dr. Arce after seeing numerous of neurologists he was the only one that was able to give us answers
Dr. Arce is professional, knowledgeable, and to the point. I treat him with respect by being on time and not wasting his time with idle chit chat. He treats me the same.
We seen multiple doctors and Dr. Arce was the only one who was able to give us answers. He was professional and listened to all of our concerns. His staff is awesome and organized and really helpful and kind.

I was somewhat wary after reading a couple of bad reviews elsewhere, but am happy to report that he was friendly and thorough and the office staff was also efficient and friendly
