Eric M Westerman

My wife has a serious condition with angioedema and has been trying to talk with office staff about scheduling an appointment. RUDE is the only way to describe the response that she has received. No compassion or supportive help and even hung up on my wife as she was trying to describe the reasons for urgency. Dr.Westerman needs to know how his office staff is treating new potential patients. Perhaps a call to the American Medical Association would be a wake up.

My daughter and I are patients of Dr. Westerman. She suffered from intractable abdominal pain for 7 years. She frequently went to the emergency room. She was treated by several G.I. specialists, none of whom could find the root of her problem. Dr. Westerman advised her that her problem could be in her cardiovascular system. She followed this up and, because of Dr. Westerman's interest and skill in evaluating her case, she saw a specialist and had auto-transplant kidney surgery. Her abdominal pain is now in the past. Dr. Westerman has made a huge difference in the happiness of our family. He is caring and interested in his patients. He gives you the time necessary to ask questions. We are forever indebted to Dr. Westerman for his excellent care.

I was seeing another Rheumatologist and he offered no suggestions to help with my increasing arthritis pain, or the assistance to help with the gradual disfigurement of my hands and feet. Dr Westerman examines carefully and offers ways to manage my arthritis. Dr W’s staff as well as the doc, show great care, quick answers to questions and facilitate the best appointments for each patient. Dr. Westerman is a fantastic and caring doctor and his office is full or people who truly care about the patients! I highly recommend this practice!!!

I see Dr Westerman and he's just the best. He is intelligent, compassionate, fights for his patients (insurance is such a force to be reckoned with sometimes), and flat out funny. Great bed side manner. 10/10 would recommend.

Dr. Westerman has taken care of me for almost a decade. I appreciate his honesty and he truly cares if you're doing well or not. Great sense of humor and easy to communicate with. I can truly say exactly how I'm feeling without any fear of being judged. I appreciate him and all he has done for me!

Dr Westerman is great. what is impressive is that just talking to him he notices things that most doctors will miss. He's attentive and intuitive

I've been seeing Dr Westerman since 1995. Best doctor ever! We recently moved to Southern Colorado and I CHOSE to keep him as my rheumatologist. I drive an hour and 45 minutes - but he's worth it. Listens to me, recommends treatment (NEVER dictates), allows you to do your own research and make decisions. He never forces medication on you (as a previous rheumatologist did). It's a busy practice, which includes several other doctors, so the office staff may seem rushed - but I've always found them to be friendly and efficient. AND Anna (his nurse) is always on-the-spot . Here is the gist: this doctor is the real deal. He is down to earth, he is empathetic and he knows exactly how to treat someone and when to treat something (which can be half the battle). I have been going to Dr. Westerman for years, and something that I admire more than anything about Dr. Westerman is his integrity to make sure that I am taken care of in the right way. He is an excellent doctor and I personally owe him a great deal for not only diagnosing multiple issues, but also treating them

I was a patient of Dr Westerman and had a very bad experience with his practice. I had not seen him in about 8 months or so and had a terrible flare up. I called to schedule an appointment because I was in so much pain I could not walk. Unbeknownst to me, I had a previous bill my insurance provider did not cover. Instead of notifying me about the bill and letting me pay it, the staff told me I could never see Dr Westerman again and sent the bill to collections. I was in pain for about 5 days unable to walk or sleep. I was finally able to find another Dr and get on proper meds. I would not recommend this practice to anyone. Best doctor ever!!

I have been seeing Dr. Westerman for over 15 years. Not one time have i ever had a negative experience.. The office staff is always efficient and helpful.. I have seen many Drs. in my lifeline but Dr. Westerman is by far the most caring and helpful Dr. I have ever had.. I would recommend him to anyone including family.

I am editing my review. I realized this is for Dr. Westerman, and not his office. Dr. Westerman is an amazing doctor. He listens, he cares, and he thinks outside of the usual treatments. He is really a fantastic doctor! I don't think I have come across a doc that is as compassionate and friendly as Dr. Westerman. I would reccomend him to anyone. I've been seeing Dr. Westerman for about 2 years now. He is very kind and compassionate. He's open to new ideas and respects my experience with my illness rather than always thinking he knows best. I feel like we're a team and a great one. I've seen a marked reduction in symptoms and I hope he continues to practice for a very long time.

When I was first diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, this doctor out me on Lyrica. When the recommended dose didn't work, he doubled the dose without seeing me, and I had a major allergic reaction due to the unsafe increase.

The worst doctor EVER! If you notice the difficulty getting a human when you try to hire this doctor/practice, BELIEVE IT and RUN! It GETS WORSE when you're a patient! This doctor is also rude and misinformed. My advice: FIND A DIFFERENT DOCTOR FAST! I would be TERRIFIED of allowing this practice to give me a med injection/infusion and having to trust them to revive me...RUN!

Dr. Westerman was my 4th try at finding a good rheumatologist and I am not usually picky but others I'd seen left a lot to be desired in terms of either bedside manner, listening to their patients, reasonable scheduling, knowledge, nice front office and nurse, and/or being open to alternatives depending on the patient's other health needs. Dr. Westerman scores 5 stars on all of these and I have definitely found my rheumatologist to stay with for the long haul (I've seen him about 9 months now)!

The staff and way Dr Westerman runs his practice is incredibly unprofessional. I was a patient of Dr Westerman and wanted to schedule an appointment. The staff told me I could no longer see Dr Westerman because of a $120 bill I knew nothing about that was sent to collections. I was in excruciating pain and did not know what to do or where to turn. I ended up finding another Rheumatologist that is amazing. Dr Westerman does not care about his patients well being. All he cares about is money.

I have been going to Dr Westerman for over 13 years now. He diagnosed me with RA. Together we have tried every imaginable drug out there and some twice. He always works with me and isn't afraid to try new things or ask other doctors. He is a wonderful caring man. He is also very punctual. You never wait around his office for hours waiting to see him. If there is a problem with the staff or billing anything he is always there to make sure it's taken care of. Love him!!!!

To MANAGEMENT: Tried making an appointment with Joni today. After being put on hold for 8 minutes and then being shamed and ridiculed for my office not sending over my records, I asked what I could do. Told her I am in a lot of pain and really nervous about what is going on. She said there is nothing until April and basically told me to go somewhere else. After expressing my frustration with her attitude and tone she saidThat is just my voice. You should be embarrassed to have her.

I absolutely love Dr Westerman. One of the most caring, compassionate doctors I've ever met. He's very thorough and willing to listen and try anything he can to make me feel better. Great guy.
