Dr. Liu is very relatable and easy to talk to. He gives great advice and really cares about how you are doing.

After meeting with several Doctors I finally met Dr, Liu and thankful I did! I’ve followed him from Nashville and happy to take the plane ride every 6 months. Dr. Liu is extremely knowledgeable and cares like I’m a his family. I have total trust in Dr. Liu’s advise and have total confidence in his ability and skills! Dr. Liu is a very kind, considerate, and extremely responsive doctor. I just love how Dr. Liu is willing to spend all the time you need to answer all your questions. He is compassionate and caring! He always makes sure I am comfortable and have all the information I need.

Dr Liu is amazing. He always listens to me. You can tell while you are talking he is processing in his mind how to make you better. He has a great passion for his patients as well as trying to solve your needs. He makes you feel your needs are his top priority. I honestly think he is maybe the best Dr I have ever worked with thus far. I would give Dr Liu the highest marks possible. I am truly thankful my primary physician/oncologist recommended that I see him and think I’m getting the best care that is available anywhere. I’m very fortunate that we can go anywhere I want to go but I think we have the best Dr I could have with Dr Eric Liu.

I was impressed with Dr.Liu from my very first zoom appointment. After being diagnosed with neuroendocrine tumors, I was not ok with my local oncologist being so passive about my condition. My wife researched and found this amazing doctor who was more in line with my need for aggressive care. Dr. Liu was simply amazing. He explained my condition in depth and let me know what kind of upcoming problems I might face. He did my surgery and I can't thank him enough. He is the best.

I feel lucky to have been referred to Dr. Liu. He has an excellent reputation and my treatment so far makes me feel it's well deserved. He's easy to talk to and ask questions of. He also went way out of his way to make sure I was well taken care of when a second diagnosis came up for me that he doesn't handle. He feels like an advocate for me, like I have someone in my corner. I really can't recommend he and his team enough.

Dr Liu is the most caring doctor I've ever met. I can't say enough a out the upmost care he delivers to his patients. Many oncologists are removed from their patients and don't listen to the concerns they have. Dr Liu had a plan of care from day one and a back up plan for me. What a relief when I was told in Albuquerque that they would give me morphine until I passed away. I recommend Dr Liu to others. Even if it's just for an opinion. He is the best! Dr. Eric Liu is a skilled neuroendocrine surgeon. He is essential to the treatment of my disease. He is extremely knowledgeable about neuroendocrine tumors, and he therefore makes highly professional decisions that affect the quantity and quality of my life. I needed surgery for my intestines and a bowel resection. I was afraid to have the surgery. I have healed beautifully and I feel healthier than I have in a long time. His staff (Matt and Bethany) and the rest of the team reassured me and supported me throughout the surgery. Dr. Liu is my neuroendocrine specialist that is able to help me with a complex and rare disease. Lodging after surgery and a nurse navigator, Mary, make it easier to get through the process, since I am from Out of state. Dr. Liu, thank you for saving my life with a much needed surgery that my ontological care team did not even mention to me in South Carolina. It takes much stress off of me to know that you are taking care of me. You are an excellent surgeon!

Dr Liu is an excellent doctor. He diagnosed, operated on me and I have fully recovered with no additional treatment necessary. I continue to follow-up with him and trust him completely. I did a lot of research before selecting Dr Liu, he is renowned in his field and uses the latest treatments and technologies. Dr Liu is very caring and makes me feel valued, not just another patient. While Dr. Liu is known as a fine surgeon, his emergency appendectomy for me was perfect. I had been suffering for a month, and was growing a wall with adhesions around my appendix. Dr. Liu skillfully removed the adhesions and, rather than a gut resection, I had a noneventful appendectomy. I was discharged from the hospital in just under 24 hours. My subsequent recovery was uneventful. I highly recommend Dr. Liu and feel grateful I was fortunate enough to be his patient.

I couldn't recommend a better doctor. Friendly, compassionate & knowledgeable. He was extremely helpful in fine tuning my understanding of my condition. I drive 200 miles (seriously) for my appointments with him, its worth every mile! Whomever threw negative comments on this man, either didn't understand their condition or had a stick up their rear end! With any cancer diagnosis, it's the patients responsibility to become more knowledgeable on their condition & treatments available for their condition.

I’ve been seeing Dr Liu for 6 years now. He is compassionate and thorough with his understanding and knowledge of the affects of neuroendocrine cancer. Recently completed PRRT and had a follow up 3 month MRI in March of this year. All is good and tumors have been kept under control. Dr Liu helps me keep my sanity and to be positive moving forward. I have a young family and have been fortunate to be in his care.

Dr Liu has been my Neuroendocrine Cancer surgeon Specialist since 2017. I travel over 1500 miles each way to see him once or twice a year for surveillance and treatment plan strategy. I obviously trust him with my life. My debulking surgery in 2017 was exactly as we anticipated and my follow up care has been exceptional. My family and I credit him with restoring a good quality of life and I look forward to working with him for many, many years to come.

Dr. Lui gave me hope and instilled confidence I had the best when I was diagnosed with stage 4 neuroendocrine cancer. I felt so blessed to have a world renowned specialist right here in my backyard. Dr. Lui is down to earth, treats compassionately, and always has time to answer and explain any questions. When he talks to you, he refers to you as “my friend.” That’s how he makes you feel—you have a friend walking you through this nightmare of cancer. I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Lui, his nurses, scheduler, and front office staff.

My husband has Stage 4 NETS, metastasized to the liver. In 2012, while still with the Vanderbilt Cancer Center, Dr. Liu removed my husband's primary cancer and effected lymph nodes. Seven years later, we are finally getting around to a review, to let everyone know that Dr. Liu is the most compassionate and able surgeon we've ever run across. He listens and actually hears what his patients have to say, he takes time to answer questions and clearly explains anything a patient and family member need to know, and he is available when one needs assurances/information before and after surgery. He's worth the wait if there is an emergency that keeps you sitting in his waiting room. We miss him and are very grateful for his abilities. You're lucky to have him, Colorado! I've had nothing but EXCEPTIONAL & COMPASSIONATE care from Dr Eric Liu. He did my laparatomy when no other doctors would attempt it since it was right next to my main abdominal arteries. Dr Liu is the best doctor that I’ve ever had. His knowledge and care is fabulous. He is such a caring person, and is one of the best physicians for patient with neuroendocrine tumors. The staff is always friendly.

He was late 2 hours to our appointment, rushed through the paperwork, not taking our concerns seriously and did not show any compassion during the entire visit. He clearly didn't have any interest providing any care. Overall, it was very disappointing experience. You should find someone else.

Dr Eric Liu is a true expert in Nets care. Please do not be afraid of slowing down his ever speedy brain for you to understand. He is so kind and so skilled. Please be aware he is a surgeon and he does have emergencies to attend to from time to time. He is in the business of savings lives so that is to be expected.

Dr. Liu removed 20 neuroendocrine tumors from my liver on Sept. 6, 2017 after at least 4 other doctors told me I was inoperable. I am doing great! He saved my life & I will forever be grateful to this excellent surgeon & wonderful man.

Dr. Liu is a talented surgeon, has a wonderful way with patients and thoroughly explains the surgical plan. Because of the rarity of my cancer, and level of metastases involved, I wanted an NET surgeon. I chose Dr. Liu because I wanted a Gallium Scan (better resolution than Octreoscan). Dr. Liu saved my life; he's worth the travel and I highly recommend him! NOTE: To the reviewer complaining about FaceBook (seriously?). Considering you've never seen him, a negative review is pretty vindictive!

Dr.Liu is truly an amazing doctor. I honestly believe if we never found him my husband would not be here today to enjoy life and watch our 6 children grow! I noticed some people complain about him being late for appointments...this has happened to us as well but we have no complaints there because we know for a fact it’s because he is off saving someone esle’s life who is fighting the same fight. His level of commitment to bettering the lives of his patients is remarkable! 100% recommend him!!

I have been treated for colon cancer for more than 9 years. When radiation killed my gall bladder Dr. Liu removed it. Of all the surgeons I've had over the past 9 years Dr. Liu was the best. In addition to being on the cutting edge for neuroendocrine disorders he also has a great, very personable way with patients. You always know that Dr Liu is in your corner and will do his very best to help you with your disease. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Liu sponsers a Facebook group and when there are problems that are called to his attention he says he will look into it and you never hear from him again. I believe this group is a reflection on him since it contains his name and not hearing from him makes me question his trust. Coming here is the only recourse there is.
