Dr George did a total wrist replacement on me recently . He is the best surgeon i have ever had. I am looking forward to my new wrist. I am i PT and it is getting better every day. He is the best hand surgeon in the United States. Thank You Dr George

This man sold me on a simple, low-risk surgery for a very minor condition. Before surgery, I had full use of my hand but a little tendon soreness. After the surgery, I could not move my hand or use it at all. Despite PT I have not regained any ability. I am permanently disabled now because of him. He turned really nasty when the outcome wasn't good, too. It was a shocking transformation. He is very good at marketing himself as "the best hand surgeon" but other surgeons fix his mistakes all the time. I am not so lucky. My hand isn't fixable. I just have to live this way now. Please don't fall for his charm and self-promo.

Excellent doctor,great diagnostic doctor,the best bed side manners ever seen in a doctor.he is very patient,kind,wants to help you.explains your issue,makes you feel very at ease.I highly recommend him to everybody.top notch knowledge,soo nice,will always go back to him.I trust him completely.HE IS THE BEST

Dr. George has done four hand surgeries for me after a bad wreck tore tendons in my wrists and I broke a finger following a fall. I now see him every two months for injections since I developed severe arthritis. He and his staff have always been professional and caring. His office and adjoining hand therapy clinic feel more like a spa than just another doctor’s office! I would recommend him above anyone else!

My experience was excellent with Dr George, I have been with Dr George for over 30 years He is the best hand Sergeant I know and his his Therapy staff is number one . If you care about going to the best go to Dr George.

Dr. George is The Best hand doctor. He is very understanding of your issues and works to resolve them. He has a great bedside manner. He genuinely cares about his patients.

Dr George is the best when it comes to all problems involving the hand, wrist and elbow! If you need an injection, have no fear! He knows how to give it without causing you the slightest bit of pain! Dr. George is the best. He has helped me in so many aspects with my hand. Very knowledgeable, and takes the time to explain to you what you need and what he recommends. I would recommend him to anyone. You may wait longer in the waiting room than the normal doctor visit, but that goes to show that everyone wants to see Dr. George. Good fund of knowledge. Office practices are terrible. Admits to triple booking appointments resulting to hour long waits. —- note the this was responded to with Boilerplate non-response.. the doctor himself admitted to triple booking. The buck stops with him.

Dr. George is by far the most down to earth doctor I have ever met. I have been going to him for years. i not only concider him a Doctor but also a friend as I have referred my wife and several other people to his care.

Dr. George is one of the best surgeons around. Dr. George takes time to listen to you and always so friendly treat you like family. I had 3 surgeries done both hands and my elbow everything went great. Hand therapy you couldn't have asked for better staff, that's why I can move my hands today. I highly recommend Dr George

He has done two hand surgeries on my husband’s hand. He is an excellent surgeon I recommend him highly. Also the Onega hospital is first class and so is the staff. Thank you all.

One of the best medical experiences I've ever had. I had a fractured hook of hamate bone (very painful) and went to see several doctors including other hand specialist. Their general consensus? Carpal tunnel even after seeing the x-rays! So I was shot up with pain killers and sent on my way, only to have the pain flair up again. On my first visit to Dr. George, he literally touched my hand and asked where it hurt then said "I'm pretty sure it's your hook of hamate but I'll need an MRI to confirm." He was right and we scheduled the surgery and the rest is history! Hand is rebuilt and now better than it's ever been.

Dr. George repaired my hand with the “mini tightrope”, and now I can still play the violin. No kidding.

Awesome Doctor he shows he is concern very friendly & prompt . I was referred to him for my carpal tunnel it was server he did surgery on both hands that was the best decision I've made in a long time.

Dr George is a great surgeon. There is no doubt he is best in the southeast, he does all of saints players I’ve been in his office when they come in to see him . He saved my hand . You people who complain about him are clueless,. The dude works 100 hours a week He is really talented and generous. I’ve heard he doesn’t have to work but cares so much I recommend him 100%

Dr. George is amazing! He fixed my Basal Joint Arthritis and Carpal Tunnel all in one surgery. However, the reason I am only rating 3 stars is some of his office staff. I find certain staff members bordering on rude and the information they give out is not always accurate. Their billing practice is complicated and very hard to question. I had a billing problem 4 months ago and it is still not resolved. I really hate to leave Dr. George but I have no choice. UPDATE: I have to add a footnote... I just received a call advising my the billing dispute has been resolved and I am receiving a refund of what I paid in error. Still smiling in 2018. That surgery worked!!!!! After suffering with Carpal Tunnel issues for 10 plus years I was referred to Dr. George by a friend, Dr. Bud (who called him Dr. Hand) and in November 2014 Dr. George performed Carpal Tunnel surgery on my right wrist. My only complaint was I waited 10 years to get relief. Quick surgery, minor pain, minimal recovery a perfect result. 18 months later and all is great. Craig Still smiling in 2018. Not very happy after I got to the doctors office today to find out that my appointment was cancelled. I drove from Ponchatoula for a follow-up visit about my wrist. The office staff was not very concerned that they cancelled my appointment without even calling me. When I went for my first appointment, after they brought me to the examination room I waited for over 45 minutes before I actually saw the doctor. I would not recommend using this doctor. Way too many patients.

Dr. George is a fantastic doctor. I had a complicated surgery and it went well. However, I cannot recommend him because of his office staff and billing practices. Most of his office staff members border on being rude and give out incorrect information. When I tried to get a bill explained I was told that their accounting system was difficult to explain. Red flag!!!!! Since they require payment up front, I overpaid by 185.00. That was in March. I am still waiting on my refund.

I had both hands operated on by George. Every thing went well. Rehab was great and return check up were informative and helpful. I have sent others to him and never heard anything bad. Great surgeon and doctor .

I had hand surgery by dr George a few years ago and unfortunately it went poorly . a year later I went to show him the poor result, and he proposed to redo the operation .Of course I said no. He clearly whanted to ignore the previous failure. I went to see a doctor in California to fix the damage and he did a very good job. And he made several comments about the poor state of my hand caused by the previous surgery. PS: never choose your doctor from a movie commercial !

I've had three surgical procedures performed by Dr. George. All were successful and eliminated the problems.

Never, EVER, have I had a physician so self absorbed in himself. He is all about the financial gain--recommending how own hospitals and will flip on you once finances and insurance do not go in his favor. I was merely a patient until hearing that BC BS had to reissue a check and then deny admission to his own hospital -- then I became a dollar sign. Refused to return phone calls to discuss an appeal. Just heartbreaking wondering when I became so insignificant.

The staff at Hand Center of Louisiana is encouraging and upbeat.

I had trigger thumb surgery with Dr. George. Every appointment is a 2 hour wait to see him. My minor surgery was scheduled for 9:30 and wasn't done till 12:00 pm. My thumb was more messed up then before surgery. I had to see another doctor (not from EJ) who recommended intense physical therapy to get my thumb mobile. A 6 week recovery time turned into 3 months and counting. Thanks to my neurologist who told me to get a second opinion because something was wrong with the way my thumb looked.

I've been a patient of Dr. George's for years and I trust him completely. He had to operate to relieve a locked thumb and as always the surgery went off without a hitch.

He is the worst doctor I have ever visited. After a 2 hour wait time, he barely spends 5 minutes time to talk to you and hear you. No matter if I still have questions, he's already walking out the door even without saying good bye! He misdiagnosed me for Tendinitis and had a surgery on my hand. He has stated that I have reached the maximum medical treatment and after 3 months I am still dealing with the same issues as I had before. He knows nothing about work ethics!

The staff at The Hand Center is courteous and perfect. They make coming back pleasant.
