In late 2006 and mid-2007 I (James) underwent two extensive surgeries, performed by Dr. Aldrich and his team, to correct acute cervical spinal stenosis in four neck discs. The anterior surgery was 10.5 hours long, the posterior was 5.5 hours. Both surgeries were successful, no - no - recovery pains, and although - due to a titanium ladder screwed to five vertebrae - I cannot bend my neck to look up at the sky, the results were and are miraculous. Although the procedures were 15 years ago I have no lingering effects save for somewhat limited neck flexibility. If necessary, I'd request him again. Dr. Aldrich saved my wifes life when he performed emergency brain aneurysm surgery on her several years ago. The results were fantastic. Thanks to Dr. Aldrich my wife and I have spent (and continue to spend) happy years together.

I'm so grateful to be alive for him and his team. July 2016 I encountered a ruptured brain aneurysm at my brain stem.I was rushed to shock trauma from upper Chesapeake medical center,on life support. For about 30 days I was in the hands of great care. My rupture was coiled and a stent was placed. I was giving 30% chance of making it when I was brought in. By the grace of god and all the team members they helped me through this horrific time. I can't come up with No words to describe how grateful I am because of the team <3 I'm so grateful to be alive for him and his team. I can’t even begin to thank this kind man enough. As a health care professional myself, I hold many of the Dr.s I work for to his standard of care, based on our first encounter 6 years ago, when he did a surgery on my then 15 year old daughter. A surgery that no pediatric neurosurgeon was willing to do, and I thank God everyday that they didn’t. It’s been 6 years since my daughters surgery, to have a programable VP shunt placed in her brain, for pseudo tumor cerebri (inter cranial hypertension). After being misdiagnosed for 4 months with tension headaches in Florida, and almost losing her vision completely due to fluid crushing her optic nerve. Needless to say, he was a Godsend. Sadly my daughter was treated years afterwards back in Florida and a neurologist decided to turn her shunt down without consulting him, and here we are a year later, and she is currently in UofM, with complications of that decision. Dr. Aldrich was consulted from a smaller hospital out in the county 2 days ago that she was there after suffering an episode of syncope. He quickly had her transported to him and has had his amazing residents and nurses by her side ever since. I’m currently 1000 miles away waiting to hear what is going to happen, but even with all the fear, I couldn’t have more trust in a man then the one who is currently in charge of her care. As a mother, I can say, I am trusting him with my daughters life AGAIN, and I’d rather be 1000 miles away, and her getting THE BEST CARE, then with her, and in anyone else’s. Thank you Dr. Francois Aldrich, you have no idea how blessed I feel to know she is under your care again. Signed, A grateful mother I can’t even begin to thank this kind man enough. On July 24,2018, Dr Aldrich saved my life. He performed a very difficult surgery to clip an aneurysm in the front of my brain. It was just touching my left optical nerve. He said it was like nothing he had ever seen. My life was in his hands for 12 hrs. There are not enough words to Express how very grateful I will always be for Dr. Aldrich. During 2006 and 2007 I required surgery for removal of 4 herniated discs in my neck - childhood stupid stuff, football in college, 26 years USN submarine service, couple of really hard head injuries from the top. 2 surgeries, one was 11 hours, the second was 5.5. Miracle ! My neck is held together with a titanium ladder that spans 5 vertebrae, no pain when I "woke up" - no pain now (2020). I have the utmost respect and unfailing confidence in this surgeon. Top of the mountain.

I’m only giving a four because I can’t give a 3 1/2 . Prior to surgery he was super explained everything however after surgery I put in a couple calls and did not get a return call. The staff in the icu were not friendly as a matter of fact Michael was going to put a belt around my mother for circulation Or breathing so Pneumonia doesn’t set in and clots form. Michael said he would be right back he needed to get something and disappeared and never came back. My mother was disoriented and I guess was trying to get out of bed so they had her strapped down and then big padded mittens on. They should not do this to patients if they aren’t going to feed them! There was no way she could feed herself tied and mittened up and then they came and took her dinner tray and said oh you didn’t touch you food. How the hell could she!????????‍♀️I called Dr. Aldridge about my concerns to no avail. ???? No Thearapy as ordered and not able to eats I’m only giving a four because I can’t give a 3 1/2 . He is such a great doctor. Today I saw him for a consultation for a brain meningioma that I have. He took the time to explain everything to me so that I could understand it all. He even drew me diagrams to show everything. His resident was also very nice & listened to what we had to say. When I need to have my surgery, I will feel very comfortable with him. I would definitely recommend him! He is such a great doctor. Today I saw him for a consultation for a brain meningioma that I have. I actually have never left a review but felt the need to do so. Dr.Aldrich saved me from certain death about 10 years ago when prior to his surgery I had an apparatus installed in my lumbar area(by another doctor) to stop pain which gave me a very serious spinal infection that went straight to my brain(never seen before ,within a day). I was also told that the ability to walk might be lost as well. I came out of the surgery and lived and am still walking and working(on ladders a lot of the time)even with a totally fused lumbar region with a lot of metal holding everything together. I am writing this because now I need my cervical spine fused and would go to no one else. Dr.Aldrich is honest, compassionate, and very humble. I bet my life on that 10 years ago, and will do so again this year. I actually have never left a review but felt the need to do so. I absolutely trust Dr. Aldrich with my life. I had have had six cervical fusions since 2010. Two of them were a complete disaster, and almost ended my life. I gave up all hope until I met Dr. Aldrich. He was very honest and serious. He had a lot to deal with removing the mess a different surgeon left me with. Dr. Aldrich settles for nothing less than perfection. It's just who he is. My rebuild was a total success. I never thought I would have hope again. Thank you Dr. Aldrich.

Amazing DR! Took care of me and made sure I didn't make a decision that would jeopardize my health and my lifestyle. I am very thankful to have some one who watch over my health and not use me as an experiment ... Dr. Aldrich is wise and only wants the best for his patients . I hope to find some one like him here in Florida.

This man saved my life. He is a professional and extremely passionate about what he does. His staff and nurses are amazing. I have a rare type of cancer called Chordoma, and it wasn't his first encounter with it. Which, if you have something rare like that, those are the words you want to hear. He was blunt, straight to the point, but did what he said and made sure to never put my life in more danger than it was. Thank you Dr.Aldrich for being amazing at what you do! This man saved my life. Dr. Aldrich is a excellent dr., he tells you exactly what is going on and what needs to be done. I felt that I was in the best possible hands with my surgery. My family was very happy with how they were always informed during the ten hours of surgery with updates. I would highly recommend Dr. Aldrich.
