YOU WERE THE BEST OF THE BEST!

Dr. Kovacs is a brilliant doctor. I suffer with a rare condition which he immediately recognized. His level of understanding was astounding. He was extremely compassionate and concerned for my health. He ordered tests and prescribed medicine that immediately improved my quality of life. I am so grateful to him. He is up-to-date on even the newest treatment for my disease. Most importantly, he listened intently. Sometimes just being heard is a gift. He is the best.

Dr. Kovacs is highly incompetent and doesn’t actually know how to treat patients. I came in and got a sinus infection diagnosed and he gave me antibiotics for it and the sinus infection immediately came back. I later made an appointment with a GP and she said you’re not even supposed to prescribe antibiotics for chronic long-term sinusitis and I needed to see an ENT. And then of course during my diagnosis, Kovacs wanted to schedule allergy testing and set more useless appointments. Kovacs is a scam and a cash grab since he’s an expensive specialist and never actually does anything useful for whatever’s wrong with you. So don’t waste your time and money at this place. Just go see a GP and they’ll help you and refer you to a specialist you actually need. Oh and of course Kovacs tries to charge you 50 dollars if you miss an appointment. More cash grabbing. I already disputed that charge and got the collections removed. Sorry Kovacs, you’re not getting any more of my money. If I could give zero stars that would be too many!!! First time visit with Dr. Kovacs and it was a complete waste of time and energy!!! I booked 3 appointments for my daughter, mother and myself (3 months in advance). We all sat in the waiting room for almost 2 hours for the first appointment which was for my daughter. We got in the room with him and he was completely scatter brained! His extremely rude and unprofessional "assistant" (Holly) interrupted my daughter's visit at least 4 times and he texted and answered his personal cell phones at least 6 times... I started losing count it was so many times!! My daughter has taken WP thyroid for 3 yrs and has been having some problems with it and was due for a refill. He claims the problems she is having (heart palps, jittery and hairloss) with her NDT is because she needs more T4 and less T3. He says he wants to start her on a compounded NDT with a smaller amount of T3 right away! I ask him for LDN also for her because I've read good things about it helping autoimmune patients... He says "Oh yeah, that's a great idea and that taking LDN can remove the need for NDT in Hashimotos patient's" and says he has other teens who have come off thyroid meds using LDN and going Gluten free. Hello!?! After wasting tons of my time and energy, he says he'll call the compound pharmacy and we'll be hearing from them in a few days... After a few days of not hearing anything, I call his compounding pharmacist (that he supposedly works closely with for over 20yrs) and he says he hasn't heard back from him for days himself and has no clue who we are! I call back to Kovacs office and the nurse says he wants more bloodwork before he'll give them prescriptions...What?!?! Tons of bloodwork was just done in late June 2018. He did the same thing with my Mother who has NO thyroid at all and knew she went to see him because she was needing a Rx renewal and he gives her nothing!!! So, it has been roughly 3.5 weeks since our appointments and still no thyroid medicine! Very irresponsible and down right neglectful!! Oh! And after over 5 hours in Kovacs' office...I was never seen for my appoitment!! I was told that they were out of time and he would just look over copies of my bloodwork (which again they screwed up and didn't give me all my originals back) and call me the next day to discuss.... I called the next day right before close since I hadn't heard from him and his nurse informs me he wants me to come back in and that my bloodwork is normal.... Not a chance of that happening buddy!!! I've already driven 3 hours round trip and spent over 5 hours in your office and dealt with your incompetent staff for this complete nonsense and won't be back!!! Kovacs stated in our visit he wished I'd come work with him(lol, thanks but no)....Kovacs sir your office needs a complete re-staffing from the top on down and the office staff should thank their lucky stars that working there isn't an option I'd ever consider! I've never experienced so much incompetence at a doctors office in all my life! We are back to square one with no results, several hours of our life wasted and (Thanks to Dawn & Brenda) a few missing pages of my old bloodwork! If I could give zero stars that would be too many!!! Dr. Kovacs is the very best. I suffered from a decade of debilitating illness. Doctors around the country were unable to find a solution and the ineffective drug treatments used left me in worse condition. Dr. Kovacs was compassionate and looked at my medical conditions as a whole to get a complete picture of my health. I never felt rushed during my appointments and he took the time to hear all of my concerns. I knew there would probably be a wait when it was time for my appointment because he was giving the same time and attention to his other patients. I can say the wait was worth it. Six years later and I am still the picture of perfect health. I am glad to have my life back and my kids are glad to have their mom back. Thank you Dr. Kovacs! Dr. Kovacs is the very best. Dr. KOVACS IS A STELLER PHYSICIAN. THE PROBLE IS WITH HIS LACKLUSTER STAFF. THEY'RE CONSTANTLY CHANGING PERSONAL OUT A LOT! I'VE EXPERIENCED THE LACK OF FOLLOW UP TO MAKE SURE LAB REFERRALS MAKE IT ACROSS THE STREET TO QUEST LAB. EVERY TIME I SHOW UP TO HAVE BLOOD DRAWN QUEST DOESN'T HAVE MY PAPERWORK. I'VE CALLED NUMEROUS TIMES AND THE RECEPTIONIST JUST SAYS SHE FAXES IT OVER AND DOESN'T KNOW WHY IT DOESN'T MAKE IT. I'VE ASKED HER TO GO ACROSS THE STREET AND FINDNOUT WHY. SHE SAYS NOT HER JOB.

Dr. K is brilliant, tenacious, and (most importantly) unbelievably compassionate. He listens intently and never makes me feel like I am holding him up with seeing other patients. He hears the problem (or problems) and doesn’t stop investigating until he has the right answer/diagnosis. Truly can’t recommend this wonderful physician highly enough. Count yourself blessed if you are able to be under his highly capable care.

My 8 year old daughter had a 9:30 appointment with Gary Bullard. We were greeted by nurse at 9:30 and spoken to for about 10-15 minutes. Then we were escorted to a room we sat there for almost an hour before I then left to find somebody. Note not one person walked in to let us know Bullard was running late etc... nurse told me she apologizes their systems are slow this is why things are running slow etc. she said you can reschedule? Or wait just a moment. Let’s be clear to this was just to read off blood work that was done. Nothing more. The only reason i was hanging around for so long was nurse told me Gary Bullard would probably have my daughter use a epipen.I go back to the room wait additional 20 minutes I then believe that’s more than enough time to give Gary Bullard. We leave I make a statement in hallway to my daughter. That this is ridiculous. Apparently Bullard is behind me. I did not know because I’ve never met him... he says in front of my daughter “because no ones busier than you!?”mind you he gave No apologies. And the the tone of his voice! I was in shock!he said over and over “because no ones busier than you” I asked him if he new the time of course he didn’t answer it was almost 11am my appointment was at 9:30! I said I have a 8 year old child waiting in a room for over a hour his response “because nobody has children” apparently he leaves people in waiting rooms like this all the time? I’m not talking about the lobby I’m talking the little rooms they sit you in with a table a sink and a chair! then he told the nurse down a hall to take her out of the system!!! And just so we are clear my 8 year old is standing next to me through all of this. As anyone in the medical profession who behaves like this!! The staff looked terrified of him. My wife went to an appointment this morning to get a reading on my 8 year old daughter's blood work. She had a 9:30 appointment and was there at 9:00. At 10:30 my wife explained to the front desk clerk that she needed to get my daughter to school and couldn't afford to wait any longer. The front desk clerk said the doctor was finishing up with a patient and said that the doctor would be right in and took her to a room. She then waited there for another 30 minutes before deciding to leave. As she was leaving a doctor approached her (Bullard I believe, not Kovacs) that she had never dealt with. My wife explained how ridiculous it was that she had to wait almost 2 hours and never be seen. He then began to berate her in front of my daughter saying that she must be the only one that time is important for multiple times then told her she wasn't the only person with children either. I am very happy with Dr. Endre Kovacs and his clinic, Southcoast Allergy. Dr. Kovacs is a brilliant and very compassionate man, who is more concerned with finding the cause of an issue than he is just prescribing something to treat it. It is very refreshing to hear a doctor say "we need to find out what is causing your issue", instead of just treating it! Besides having a great demeanor, Dr. Kovacs does a really good job of explaining things in layman's terms. Five Stars & highly recommend to others. After years of feeling poorly and having my concerns downplayed by many other doctors, Dr Kovacs spent time to dig deeper. With the newfound knowledge and changes to my diet and medications, I feel great again. So thankful.

Brilliant, caring doctor! After years of going to Duke Medical center with my son, on the first visit with Dr Kovacs he confirmed Duke's diagnosis . However Dr Kovacs question was why our son had this illnesses.?? Dr K suspected he knew the answer but confirmed his suspicion via blood test! Dr K also surmised our daughter would have the same diagnosis. Her blood test was positive. He saved our 2 children from possibly getting a blood born cancer. We are forever grateful!!

Dr. Kovacs spent time listening at each one of my appointments and never discounted my symptoms. He is obviously concerned with his patients' well-being and will treat each case individually rather than making it fit into a textbook scenario. Over 15 years of symptoms being written off as stress, and he considered my symptoms specifically, ran the appropriate testing and got to the bottom of my issues. His office staff and P.A.s are a reflection of his attention to detail and quality care.

Do not waste your time going to this doctor unless you like to be treated badly. my experience was Dreadful. Not only did the RUDE front desk clerk talk down to us, she let us know we (the customer) know that we are clearly an inconvenience. They told me that I would have to reschedule after we drove all the way from Santa Rosa Beach for our first time appointment and we spent another 45 to 55 minutes driving around town trying to find the office because they do not bother to answer the telephone and they don't have a visible sign. . We would have been there early but we stopped at several businesses to ask for directions, we asked the post office and finally called a friend for directions. They wasted more than three hours of our time and now I have to spend more time finding another doctor. All they were concerned about was themselves. There was no apology and I am shocked that there is no apology. It is shocking that the receptionist at the front desk thought that it was acceptable to rudely chastise us and the doctor would not even come out to have a quick word with me. They are so arrogant as to think that I actually would want to reschedule my appointment wit them. Dr. Kovacs has been my doctor for the last 9 years. Never have I had a physician that listens or has the empathy for any of the problems that I've had. He saved my life a few years ago. Only a few people I trust with my life and he is one of them. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Kovacs is a genius. I truly do not know where I would be without his brilliant mind and medical testing. I had crisscrossed the country visiting specialists with so many dead-ends, two failed surgeries, many failed rounds of PT, and then finally found Dr. Kovacs. He thinks critically and outside the box - I'm off all narcotics now and my quality of life improves with each month. It's true in other reviews that the office staff are not up to par and don't answer the phone, but Dr. K is a gem!

Doctor Kovacs is the most knowledgable, patient, and empathetic doctor we have ever met. He always listens to all our worries, examines throughly, patiently explains all the medical possibilities, and answers all the questions. He is up to date with all the recent researches. He saved my husband's life a few years ago. His staff is friendly and always helpful.

I am still fuming mad about how badly we were treated at this office. The staff has no concern for patients and they are absolutely and blatantly disrespectful to customers. If you make an appointments they don not care about your time. They will cancel your appointment after you arrive and have driven two hours. They don't care about the patients. This office is run very poorly and the staff has no manors. Forget about trying to reach anyone by phone because they never answer the phone.

Worst experience ever! Office help doesn't answer the phone ever! They don't turn the office closed message off for an hour or so after the offices open at 8 o'clock. Had a breathing test and had a horrible reaction to the medication used in the test. Went back in to see the PA Dr. Bullard that I saw in the beginning and was completely blown off. So horribly sick I can hardly function. Call my regular doctor she treated me for pneumonia brought on by the treatment I was given.

The expertise of Dr. Kovacs and his staff. The teamwork. Their thoroughness of the blood work and all tests. Keeping in touch and communication. Most excellent.
