Very disappointed from my first and apparently last visit with Dr. Gilley. She was not able to communicate clearly either what is the origin and reason of my right thumb pain and joint snapping, or the cause and outlook of the ganglion cyst on my right wrist. Dr. Gilley limited her suggestions for treatment to only anti-inflammatory medications intake (not feasible in regards to my other health conditions) , topical Voltaren applications and prescribed two useless splints to wear that do not provide the support my thumb joints need at this time. To my utter astonishment, Dr. Gilley firmy stated she does not order occupational/ physical therapy for cases like mine, so subsequently my PCP was kind enough to order it. amazing doctor/surgeon. did my complicated surgery, it's in healing process so far all looks good. hopefully no one needs to see a doctor but if u do need to see orthopaedic, definately recommend her. she is one of them you want to see.

I was referred to Dr. Gilley for a fractured finger. It turned out that I needed surgery. She spent so much time with me that I felt guilty. I really didn't want to have the surgery thinking it was only a finger, but she showed me what she was going to do and the reasons it really needed to be done, all the while respecting my decision. I have never had a Dr. that was as attentive as her. Her bedside manner is amazing! She's very down to earth and extremely easy to talk to. We need more Drs. like her and hands down would say she is a real Gem - Northwestern should be proud to have her on staff!!!

Dr. Gilley is a very caring, competent doctor that has your best interests at heart. Her hands-on approach to diagnosing and providing treatment plans as part of a larger team of doctors stands out in this age of "packaged" medicine. She is one of the top Docs on the North Shore.
