Edward Martin Reece

My husband had a surgery performed through Dr. Reece and had horrible communication with his staff. They instructed my husband to take his medication an hour before he is written to and also put it on his discharge paperwork as it was directed. Once he was out of his medication they would not send over a form from Dr. Reece stating that he was directed to take it once every 3 hrs instead of every 4 hrs. I would highly recommend using a different hand specialist. Update: surgery was unsuccessful. He has had to have multiple surgeries to try to fix his hand. Dr. Reece fixed a very challenging intercostal nerve problem for me, and he provided a very high level of care.

I had hand surgery done with Dr. Reece and recieved poor care and horrible communication with his staff. I would highly recomend a different Dr. as I would have went to a different dr after seeing how many people are not satisfied.

Dr. Reece saved my life. I have leg wounds that are finally healing because of Dr. Reece. I have had them for almost 3 years. Been to numerous doctors who have made the wounds worse. Dr. Reece performed skin grafts on them. Besides the fact that he really know what he is doing he is nice and cares about his patients. I highly recommend him. I cannot thank him enough for how he has changed my life.

Service was done on wife's wrist, did not do a correct job. Went to second doctor because he did not listen correctly. She was unable to feel her fingers after surgery. The second doctor went thoroughly of what happened and what was missed. After 3 weeks of complete pain and no heal, getting ready for surgery again to fix what he did not do correctly. Also, if you call staff to get in touch with him, they do not answer phones, goes to voicemail and maybe get call next day. They were called first thing early morning, and return call came next day afternoon. Staff was not very concerning or educated on what to do. My take away from him and his operations, is that they are not people orientated and at the bottom line, he is running people through the mill to get as many people he can for the money. I had injured my hand with a power washer, injected water and dirt into my finger. several weeks later, my hand started to swell and with in a 24 hours i was in severe pain. Dr Reece was the attending doctor at the ER. He wasted no time in getting me into xray, and a short time later was admitted into the hospital for surgery. Two to be exact. The first one to open and clean wound of the infection that had began to travel up my arm. Dr. Reece came to check on me an hour or so after surgery. He is very polite as well as informative. answering every question and including what will happen from that point onward. Being careful not to say something that will get my mind wondering in the wrong direction according to my recovery. The second surgery he was there making sure that i was ready. Being descriptive, as i am very curious about what was being done, he told me what he had found and what he expected the 2nd surgery to produce. While in recovery he again was more interested in how i was doing than answering my questions about needless information. Even during follow up visits at his private practice, I felt very comfortable, and that my recovery was his only patient. Walking into the exam room he knew who i was and remembered without having to consult his patient records to refresh his memory. If I ever move out of Arizona and suffer an injury to my hands, I will not hesitate to travel back here for his care. THANK YOU DOC. YOUR THE BEST.
