Dr. Plecha argued against 4 other top rated neurologists and vascular specialists and basically made a decision today that will hurt my mother. She has 100% blockage in one carotid and 80% in the other and has poor blood flow in the left side of her brain. All the doctors at Eisenhower in Rancho Mirage where she was sent after a stroke and the neurologist we got a second opinion from at Scripps La Jolla said her condition is dire. But surprise surprise, Kaiser who let her get to this point doesn't want to spend the money for a surgery (she's only 72) to save her life. Dr. Plecha, I'm glad you know more than 4 other top rated neurologists, internists and vascular surgeons. Kaiser disgusts me and if we were wealthy we would just take her to a specialist and have the surgery.
