I went to Panzeter for a hernia repair in 2017. This was a hernia right above my belly button that had recurred after an attempt to repair it in 2010. Panzeter's beside manner was very dismissive when I asked him to put a mesh in instead of using sutures (since I had sutures before and they had reopened). He replied with flippantly telling me it was "so small" there was "no point" in using a mesh. His demeanor should've warned me of what was to come. October 17th, 2017 was the day of my surgery. I had horrible complications that resulted in me bleeding internally and needing to be rushed back to the ER in an ambulance several hours after being sent home. The cause was, in Panzeter's own words, that my falciform ligament extended in a way he's never seen before, causing him to nick it during surgery. It bled, and never stopped. Even if I am to believe this was a simple mistake that nearly cost me my life, Panzeter did not fix my hernia. Weeks after my surgery when I returned for a follow up I asked what this lump above my belly button was. It looked suspiciously like the hernia I came to him to have fixed. He told me it was "just swelling" and that it should go away soon. Once I healed from the surgery you can imagine my heartbreak that my hernia was not fixed. Mind you, I had not been doing anything strenuous besides some light walking to cause it to recur. I needed several transfusions to stabilize after the internal bleeding, and it took me weeks to even have enough energy to walk after leaving the hospital a second time. I don't know where Panzeter put his sutures, but they did not correct my hernia. It is still there today. I have attached a picture of what I look like right now, in 2022. I had hoped that in spite of dealing with Panzeter's awful bedside manner, and the thousands I had to pay in ambulance costs and emergency surgery to correct his negligence that put my life at risk I would at least have this problem solved but no. I still cannot exercise without this horrible twisting pain above my belly button. Panzeter if you ever read this, know that I am well aware you did absolutely nothing to help me. All you did was take advantage of someone in a vulnerable position. You do not deserve to be a doctor and I hope your license is revoked. Even if your excuse about my anatomy being "something you've never seen in 20 years" that caused the bleeding is true, there is absolutely no excuse for the fact that you did not even attempt to sew up my hernia correctly. I have my medical records that document the exact location of my hernia before and after the surgery, noting that it is in the exact same spot. I can't even roll over in bed without having pain. I was an unexpected visit (scheduled last minute) and the staff was very friendly and professional. The Dr. "Ed" was thorough and quick which was nice. Overall great experience!

About a year ago I had surgery by Dr. Panzeter. Now that I have need for a different kind of surgery I feel very comfortable returning to his professional care for my upcoming surgery.

Was very rushed in consult and don’t feel like doctor knew my medical history enough. Other than what he is going to take out in surgery.

It was a great experience staff and doctor was friendly and made my 1st time comfortable. Exceeded my expectations.

I came to see Dr Panzeter because I was diagnosed with gallstones in the ER in August. I really didn’t want surgery, but the pain had gotten worse. His nurse informed me I was in good hands, that he was a very good surgeon. He had already studied my medical records and had a plan when I saw him. He listened to my story then talked to me about my diagnosis and how he could help me, by removing my gallbladder. Dr Panzeter is one of the best surgeons around. He saved my husband from a misdiagnosis from another hospital and luckily my husband will recover nicely. He is an angel sent from heaven who is thorogh and exact.
