Dr. Edward N Letourneau

I think he is a joke. Went for rheumatoid arthritis and was told oh you don't really have it,you only have osteo arthritis. But with his blood test it came up high. Was called by Stormont to come back to start getting shots in two weeks. Came back and he didn't even know why I was there, when I told him I was called to come back and start shots. He said no I only have osteo arthritis. When I said I still have pain. His solution was cortisone shot in my shoulder. Like what about my hands? They hurt along with other of my body,also cymbalta doesn't make all my pain go away. He also wants to do an MRI on my hands,I think this is unnecessary. I feel he is just trying to soak my insurance. With this.

I was very pleased with my visit. He took time to visit with me and I was impressed that he had read my information beforehand and knew about my health issues.

I have seen Dr Letourneau years ago and he was excellent at treating my Spondylitis. He knew my condition so well and was very helpful plus so nice. I recommend him anytime to anyone.

He was always very nice to me and listened to what I had to say about my health. I wish I never left him to have someone closer. The one I have now does not listen to me and the one I have now seems to be all about him and his knowledge. I regret my decision to leave this amazing doctor.

Terrible doctor, would rate 0 stars if I could. After 7 years of symptoms and no answers, we drove 2 hours to see him. He was rude and interrupted us a lot. The testing he did showed I had an autoimmune disorder of some kind, but he never looked into it because, in his words, "it was dormant." I came to him with extreme fatigue, GI issues and random pain. I don't think it was dormant. In his papers he sent me, he states all the symptoms I didn't have (some of which I told him I did) and said it was "somewhat surprising" that my RNP antibodies was 3.2. Since then, I have had more/increased symptoms. He also wrote "mom won't let daughter answer questions" and got mad when she did. I was 18 and the first few years of this illness I spent in a lethargic/comatose state so I can't remember much, if anything, from that time. I also have anxiety and brain fog, so I need her to step in sometimes. A year later, I was finally diagnosed with MCTD, no thanks to him, a so called "specialist."

He is an awful rheumatologist, and his staff is unhelpful. I saw him for over a year, and it was a mess. He typically spends less than 2 minutes with you for each appointment. I could care less about bedside manner, but he always arrived without any understanding of my background, medication, and purpose of visit. He would be looking at my file and would still not know which medications I was on. Luckily, I had a great primary care physician that helped make sure things were done properly. This is the stereotypical example of a doctor who wants to do the bare minimum and see as many patients as possible. The staff were incredibly rude if you needed prescriptions filled. I have never complained about a doctor before, but he is truly the worst. He is dangerously careless.

I'd make it a -5 if I could. I Dont think Dr Edward Letourneau knows what the Hippocratic oath is. Hes the rudest Dr I have ever had to deal with. No manners, no respect for his patient's.

I have been seeing this Dr. since 1996 and he is one of the most sensitive and thorough physicians I've had the pleasure of taking care of me. I've NEVER in all my years heard him complain about his staff, other doctors or any other things I'm reading in the reviews. I'm shocked and saddened. I look forward to my visits with him and his wonderful staff!

This guy is a Clown! Over an hour of waiting for him to see me, he was dismissal of the family MD, and other doctors treating myself. He said "you have bad feet!" And suggested I go to a surgeon, what? He will speak over you try to scare you into more services for his cronies. Buyer beware here, don't give this Clown any of your hard earned cash. I knew right away when he started answering cell phone calls. Scam.

He misdiagnosed me and refused to accept that he was wrong. Nobody should get anxiety when going to see a specialist when they are supposed to help you.

My rheumatologist retired-my records went to him. He had the biopsy report that confirmed my disease literally in his hands @ my 1st appt. More than 2/3 of the appt was spent with him interminably saying I didn't have said disease & why, as I kept asking him to look @ the biopsy report he held in his hands. I prevailed;he finally looked at it. At 2nd appt he said my swelling was imaginary. Two days before 3rd appt, after digging my watch out of my imaginary swollen arm, I called & fired him.

I was willing to give him the benefit of a doubt and visit despite the negative reviews. In fact, I went to 3 appointments. He was brusque and straightforward, which I generally prefer, but was 45 minutes late (for an early morning appt.) and spent my appt time telling me of anger with staff, quickly prescribed medication and was gone. At the 3rd visit I felt he slowed down but was trying to scare me into moving into a next level drug. I'm going with my gut and not going back.

He spent less than 15 minutes with me during my initial appointment. During this time he did most of the talking, interrupted me, ignored me, answered a text on his phone, told me to stop my medication, and sent me on my way. Rude, unprofessional, disrespectful.

I agree with the person who said Dr. Letourneau is horrible. Thats puting it mildly. He is beyond rude and unprofessional and insensitive. The best thing about seeing him is leaving his office. His nurse Nancy was very kind and compassionate.

He's horrible dr.he is rough and full of himself ,while examining me ,he dug his fingers into my neck,back and sides,which of course elicited a response.his diagnosis was wrong,and when I received a 2nd opinion ,my new Dr.laughed and said that Dr. Letourneaus diagnosis was all to familiar since most of his patients received the same diagnosis ,and he insists on prescribing very expensive medication even though cheaper brands are available.He even charges for joining his support group....
