About Editha A. Liu
Reviews for Editha A. Liu
Incompetent Doctor. She signed FMLA papers she was not supposed to sign with the wrong dates, when my mothers surgery was postponed by a month, we asked her to sign an extension form since it was the same case number and she refused. When she actually did it, she put the wrong dates AGAIN. When asked to fix it, she refused AGAIN and said the surgeon had to sign them. If she knew the surgeon had to sign them, why did she fill them out in the first place hmm? and she told my mom she wouldn’t sign FMLA papers for her diabetes either and no doctor would. It has been such a headache dealing with all of it and she didn’t make it any easier! I would not recommend especially if you or your loved ones first language is not English. You are not taken as serious
She’s fantastic. Background on myself, I’ve moved around quite a bit. Homeopath & applied kinesiologist in Arizona, GP that was more holistic in Dallas and finally a Osteopath in Austin that I was traveling back to see until I found Dr Liu. I have a slow thyroid, hormonal imbalance and get ear infections yearly. I also have some food allergies and a few other minor inconveniences so it’s very important to me to find a doctor that spends the time and truly listens to make health decisions. She’s one of the best I’ve ever had. I’ve seen her twice. First was for a well women’s exam and most recently for a sinus turned ear infection. She offered me various treatments, we discussed them and made a plan that worked for me. I get ear infections yearly and she offered a few other options that my previous ENT and doctors did not. By the evening after my visit, the horrible pressure and inability to watch TV or talk on the phone was gone. I cannot tell you how grateful I am to have found her. I

In the last 5 years, I get antibiotics and always have to do 2 rounds, the pressure subsides eventually but takes a week and once it took 3 weeks. I could go on and on but Iâm more impressed with her than my doctors in big city Phoenix, Dallas and Austin. One other note, I am not a fan of masks. Iâll do everything I can to avoid a facility if they require masks. My reason is I read lips and masks make it extremely difficult to understand and hear people. Avera is still requiring masks. I do home this policy changes but regardless, sheâs worth it. Iâll add more as I visit again or think of something additional. If youâre new to town or looking for holistic care, make an appointment with Dr Liu.
Very caring and concerned about your health. Dr. Liu explains things well. I would recommend her.
Dr Liu was disappointning. She did not want to give me a refill on my pain medications. She did not want to give me a refill on my valium. She wanted me to try to lose weight. She said even if I was 5 feet and 8 inches tall being 240 pounds makes me overweight. I told her that I could not work because my knees hurt. She said it was arthritis. How can I have arthritis when I am only 22 years old? It is bad. Some days I feel like I am carrying a 50 pound backpack. She did give me a book on foods that are healthy. She did teach me to do a breathing exercise to help me when I am anxious. She also asked me to try a walking program
She was okay I guess, I have years of low back pain from fibromyalgia and she suggested I try acupuncture and stretching exercises and change my diet and lose weight. She does not prescribe pain medications only natural methods for pain relief. So I did not get the help I needed.
Dr. Liu has been great over the past year and a half that I've been seeing her. She really cares about me as a patient. I started seeing her for acupuncture for my allergies (which has really helped), but I've also gotten help with pregnancy and lactation issues. Since she is a doctor, she has also prescribed medications for me if something was going on that couldn't be addressed by the acupuncture (such as a sinus infection she noticed the last time I was in). It's really great to see a doctor who will listen to me and suggest the best treatments, whether that's a prescription medication or a change in diet. I highly recommend Dr. Liu.
