Dr. Dzung Nguyen

Dr. Nguyen is aweaome, he cares about his patients, he always knows what is best for his patients, he has had a turnover after Hurricane Michael in staff,and there was a physician renting space next to his that is no longer there. Dr. Nguyen always knows what to do and is all about his patients and what is best for them, our family has been patients for over 20 years and appreciate his staff, and Dr. Nguyen, as they say, you cannot teach caring and they certainly do. Dr. Nguyen is brillant and he never gives up, if you are a drug seeker, this is not the office for you, if you truly need pain management. he will try his best to refer you for pain management. I rate her 100%+, you cannot find a better Internist in or out of town, if you need an ezcellent physiian, it is him, you or your insurance is paying for medical services, if you want to be your own doctor and are that qualified. you should not even be looking for a physian. I cannot speak highly enough, my brother use to drive from his home in Tallahassee to see him, I still have family that drives from Defuniak Springs to see him. Dr is quack . Doesn't listen to patients . Nurse and Dr is very arrogant and condescending .What he says goes regardless how sick a person is getting. Stay away from this office

At first I was very happy with Dr. Nguyen. He was the first real doctor I had been to rather than just a clinic, so I suppose it was the way he actually spent time in the room that made me excited to be there. However, my condition did not improve and I was sent to an expensive ENT for vertigo. I needed a neurologist but Dr. Nguyen and the ENT both said it wasn't necessary. On my own I sought out Dr. Tabaa, who fixed my vertigo quite easily. This second visit however, was eye opening. The office staff didn't listen to me and neither did Nguyen. I have a horribly painful infection in my throat with no pain medication given. He glanced quickly at my tonsils and dismissed it as Post Nasal drip. My husband was on the phone all day with the office trying to get me some medicine, and they waited until 430 pm to take his call to a nurse. She laughed and told him I should not expect to be better within a day and to tough it out with Ibuprofen. After all, when her arm was broken SHE didn't get any pain meds. Meanwhile, I cannot speak or swallow without terrible burning pain, and am coughing up obvious signs of infection. At first I was very happy with Dr. Nguyen. This is not my physician. This office calls my number to leave detailed messages about one of their patients, even after I've phoned back and told them multiple times that 1. I do not know this patient & 2. It is not their patients phone number (this has been my number for 21 years!). The office personnel phone mannerisms & etiquette are surprisingly underdeveloped. The office personnel even disconnects calls vs transferring... Repeatedly! During the discussion of HIPPA... Of course, she disconnected again. "Mrs Phillips, your prescription will not be refilled because you missed your June appointment". I hope the non-refill will not be life-threatening to you and I hope you see this message. Front desk lady is grumpy and rude. Will go elsewhere.

This MD is sharing an office space post Hurricane Michael. The staff of this physician are rude to the pediatric families when there are no other chairs left to sit in on the pediatric side of the almost nonexistent waiting area all while there are no patients even present and waiting for Dr. Nguyen. Dr. Nguyen has been my primary care physician for many years. He and his staff are professional, respectful, knowledgeable, and friendly. If I ever have an issue or concern, Dr. Nguyen and his staff are always very timely and caring in their response. Many of my family members and friends also use Dr. Nguyen. I highly recommend Dr. Nguyen if you are looking for a good doctor who truly cares about their patients. Thank you Dr. Nguyen and staff! I appreciate you! Dr. Nguyen has been my Primary Care Physician for over 20 years now. He is a fantastic physician and has a great sense of humor (once you get used to it, it's fun to play back). His staff has always been wonderful and caring. The staff has turned over since Hurricane Michael, but office manager (Carol) is still there. I have been through many health issues with Dr. Nguyen pulling me through each one. Highest recommendation. Recently changed my spouse to his primary care!!! I am a former patient that left because I never felt like Dr. Nguyen listened to my concerns. I was probably his youngest patient at 30, so maybe that had something to do with it! He was never friendly and always questioned me in a very judgemental manner! I decided to change my primary care physician after a few years of just going to clinics or seeing my mother and father in law ( both nurse practitioners). I called Dr. Nguyen's office and immediately recognized the voice of the lady on the phone! She is rude and takes the personality of the Dr. she works for! Anyway, I asked for my medical records to be sent to my new primary care physician and she refused! She said they were too old and they were upstairs (I guess upstairs is the forbidden land at Dr. Nguyen's office?!?!?!). I let her know that they were not time sensitive and I needed them so she said she would have her boss call me. I would not recommend using this Dr. especially if you are on the younger side of fifty! A little about myself, I am 35 year old white male. I am educated and work as a math teacher. I am very healthy and rarely need any sort of medical attention. I am just getting to the age where I would like to have a primary care physician and one that I can talk candidly would be nice!
