Dr. Douglas Roy Langford

I only went in for a nerve conduction test. As soon as he found out that I had fibromyalgia, he immediately said he wouldn't give me drugs and I should see a psychiatrist. He wouldn't even listen to me. He was arrogant knew all the answers without even listening. He did give me the nerve conduction test which is the only reason I was there.

He won’t let me finish a sentence about what was wrong with me. He kept bashing my referring doctor. He told me he would do different testing if this one test came back normal, but refused after it came back. I asked to speak with him over the phone to discuss the results, but was told he won’t speak with patients over the phone and I needed to schedule an appointment. He was a month out. I will NEVER go back or refer anyone.

Amazing bedside manners, I felt like he truly cared about what I had to say, he got to the point while explaining exactly what he could do to help me. There is a reason he is the longest wait neurologist to see in Utah. Take the necessary time to get a referral from your doctor to go to Dr. Langford. It will be life changing.

I've seen many doctors for the issues I've been dealing with and Dr. Langford was the worst doctor I've ever seen, by far. On our first visit, I got one minute in before he started rushing me. He didn't care to understand my history. Another doctor had referred me and mentioned a possible rare condition that we could test for. Dr. Langford wasn't familiar with it and said a few incorrect things he had read in the first google result. I was very unimpressed. He suggested a couple blood tests and told me that if the those tests come back negative then I should stop seeing new doctors and just need go on anti-depressants. Horrible doctor.

I see Dr Langford for management of my migraines. Before seeing him I had seen 3 other doctors and was living a nightmare of daily migraines. Dr Langford quickly diagnosed the problem, something nobody else could do, and made me feel calm that we could work together to make me better. I've never feel rushed as a patient with Dr Langford, he spends as much time in the room as you need--something that is super unique in my experience with doctors! I seriously recommend him to everyone.

He was the worst doctor I have ever been to, he lied and said that he spent 30 minutes with me, when it was only five minutes, he wrote it down on the report that I read, also he told me that my doctors don’t know what the heck they’re doing and they were wrong, he said I havnt had mini strokes, when I did have them because they had to do heart surgery to fix the hole in my heart to stop the mini strokes, he was just a plain rude!!!!! My heart doctor said he will never send patients to him again. he was the worst doctor I have ever been to!!!!!

Poor bedside manners, prescribes unnecessary tests, contradicted himself multiple times, preys on the fear of his patients, and is more concerned about furthering business than helping his clients. There is a reason he is the easiest neurologist to see in Utah valley. Take the necessary time to get a referral from your doctor to go anywhere but to Dr. Langford.

Zoomed in on migraine as diagnosis and stuck to it despite my pleas to consider other things as my Symptoms did not really fit migraine and I was going through worst scariest time of life with the horrible symptoms. Went to him for multiple visits with no help or relief so finally sought second opinion. This dr listened to My symptoms and ran tests. Was able to get a quick diagnosis and treatment. Wish I would have went to someone else sooner. Langford couldn’t think of anything other than migraine for diagnosis for some reason and missed diagnosing my real problem. Think he needs to work on listening to patient and not rushing to migraine diagnosis. Also all my appointments seemed rushed. Didn’t seem to want to listen/let me give complete list of symptoms before announcing diagnosis

After trying to work with 4 other Neurologists, I was delighted to find Dr. Langford. He had done his homework about my case and quickly understood the pertinent questions I needed answered. Furthermore, his up-to-date knowledge allowed him to recommend definitive tests that were far better than the guess-work and trial-and-error approaches of my previous Neurologists. I greatly appreciated his quick intellect and ability to explain the scientific issues and to answer all my questions and more.

Dr Langford was very good at explaining any concerns I had and the procedures I needed. He was familiar with my chart prior to speaking to me, so I didn't have to ask about blood test results, or remind him of why I was there. He's very intelligent and really knows what he's talking about.

Unlike other reviewers, we felt Dr Langford took all the time needed to resolve our concerns and answer our questions. His assistant responds to messages very quickly. Out of all neurologists we've had over the years, he has helped the most.

Dr. Langford is nothing like I was told he would be. He will make you feel rushed, like he has no time for you. He Rushes through your appointment and just wants to get you out of the room. He has no feelings towards his patients and leaves them feeling worse off then what they were feeling before. I would never recommend him to anyone. So disappointed in him and the care my dad received.

Dr Langford does not ask enough questions to help diagnose your condition and listen to you. More often I would feel like I would talk and be interrupted so he could start giving his diagnosis partway through my explanation. I didn't feel heard, didn't feel like I could get my explanation out, and thus didn't feel like any diagnosis wasn't based upon all the information available. Also it made it seem like he wanted to rush the appointment so he could get to the next one.
