I have been a patient of Dr. Dysart for about seven years, being treated for addiction issues. To give the benefit of the doubt, I’m not sure if he is truly lacking compassion or is simply just lazy/awkward. I felt dismissed and spoken down to frequently. Trying to be patient and work around the odd mannerisms resulted in my own emotional invalidation. It’s fair to say there may be a tendency for overprescribing as well. I often did not feel that my input on that matter was welcomed either, despite extreme negative effects of treatment. I do not feel that I received good care. I wasted time and money to receive negligence and a questionable mix of meds. Not listening can be dangerous, and we need to be able to trust our providers. If something doesn’t feel right, don’t be afraid to put your foot down or seek a second opinion. I've been coming to Dr. Dysart for close to 10 years. He is what you expect a good doctor to be. His credentials are staggering. And somehow, with his vast education and knowledge, he still maintains a down to earth, unpretentious bedside manner. I've always felt "heard". He is receptive, gives his input, and takes the time to explain the what's and why's. I also entrusted Dr. Dysart with my teen daughter. She's always felt at ease with him, which is saying a lot. And she is thriving under his care. I can honestly say that I look forward to my monthly visit with Dr. Dysart. I recommend him highly. He has become one of my most trusted confidants. Dr. Dysart is an excellent physician. He is extremely knowledgeable and personable. Dr. Dysart is very professional. He takes time to listen to my concerns and time to explain my health information. I would highly recommend Dr. Dysart.

I have been misdiagnosed from childhood to early 20's. Dr Dysart correctly diagnosed and prescribed correct medicine to treat me and it change my life. I've been seeing Dysart for 10 + years now. I am a long term patient of Dr Dysart and cannot imagine a better doctor. He has always been flexible to my ever changing schedule and is a compassionate good man-not sure I would still be here if it weren’t for him. I’ve been a patient of Dr. Dysart for 9 years this August. Without this man, I would probably be dead or in prison. I’ve learned SO much over the years but the best thing he taught me was how to find ‘me’. I’m sober and happy. My family and my job and my community support and love me. Doctor Dysart's expansive experience in multi-disciplined specialities gives him the knowledge and the authority to accurately prescribe medications to suit the patient's needs. He is conservative in his approach to the use of medications, and in my particular case, has always reduced dosage appropriate to my rate of recovery. I do not doubt for a moment that Dr. Dysart saved my life and for that I shall be eternally grateful. His own experiences give him empathetic insight.

Very caring Dr. Saved my life

I have been seeing Dr. Dysart for years and he is fantastic!! I have found he prescribes what is best for his patient. One of the issues I was struggling with was anxiety and not being able to sleep, so he prescribed me Gabapentin as opposed to many doctors who woulkd likely just give you Xanax, which has a higher chance of being dangerous. The medicine he prescribed was exactly what I needed, and with no side effects and it is not addictive. Dr. Dysart has been flexible with me ,way above and beyond, and more importantly he has helped me with my mental and physical well being. He is very well educated and he is a master of his craft in every way. I have been seeing Dr. Dysart for years and he is fantastic!! I have found he prescribes what is best for his patient. Dr. Dysart is the absolute best! He is the only doctor to make a difference in my life after 12 years and numerous doctors. His accurate diagnosis and proper treatment has truly changed my life. It made a huge difference to have issues explained from a neurological standpoint as well as psychiatric. Dr. Dysart gave me my life back. I never thought it would be possible to be this happy and healthy again and I owe him everything for that.

very quick to over prescribe! for any issue he prescribes strong medicine for years. This may help junkies, they may WANT to come to him but for people who care about their mental health this is a bad mistake!

Well, I have only seen this doctor once so far. But that was a fruitful visit: whatever issues with ADD I could not combat for years,after starting on his medication/supplement regimen I feel like I have been rejuvenated and calm, yet energetic. It's amazing! I was desperate when I came to him, prior doctor's meds made me feel on edge, not composed, attentive and alert. He clearly knows his stuff, and I have been to a few top notch drs before and CAN compare the quality of services. Kudos!
