Dr. Dorothy E Gotlib

I was really struggling with about a decades worth of major depression which continued to devastate my mental and emotional health. I was super reluctant to do anything except for try to "sit tight" and hope that things would get better...they didn't and the situation grew increasingly desperate. In light of this, I started routine therapy, and sought medical attention, which is when I fell under the care of Dr. Gotlib. She was very empathetic, professional, and helpful in creating a treatment plan for me. Together, we came up with a plan that got me feeling better and kept me feeling better. Dr.Gotlib was my psychiatrist on and off for two years while I was a graduate student at U of M. I found her to be very empathetic, patient, and comprehensive when it came to determining the best course of treatment. She worked with me throughout several personal changes, and I found she always centered my needs and priorities (personally and academically). I highly recommend her.
