Dr. Donald Lawrence Gilbert

Dr Gilbert is so great! He is wonderful with our 3 year old son. He interacts with him, evaluates every option and possible out come and treats our son as if he were his own. Not every visit is easy and kids at that age are little hummingbirds but he has a way to relate with them and truly physically gets down on their level. He is extremely knowledgeable and prepares the parents for the path that lies ahead. So grateful to have Dr Gilbert and his care team of Dr Garner Dr Garris, Emily their nurse and more! Great group! Dr Gilbert has been our neurologist for a few years. He is always on time, knowledgeable and our child loves him. He has a ton of experience and helps us with decisions and tough choices with statistics, future outcomes and is a very understanding person. Glad to have have him apart of our child’s care team!

Our grandson sees dr Gilbert I am very picky about who I see as providers. when attending a crucial appointment for him I must say I was extremely impressed. Clean, knowledgeable, Dr Gilbert and the resident both took a large interest in my grandsons current state and future outcomes. He relates to the children very well and builds a true trusting relationship with the families.

I just watched his interview on 20/20 and I am shocked and dismayed. You can be skeptical, but I guess until you experience it you won’t believe it. I would welcome you to reach out and talk to parents who have experienced this first hand. So much to say to you and so dissappointed!

I’m opposed to Dr. Gilbert’s views on PANDAS/PANS. They are uninformed and inaccurate. Highly suggest you look for another Doctor who is qualified in treating pandas or pans. His views on the 20/20 show in July 2018 are disappointing and infuriating.

After 3 months of lack luster treatment and a 2 week stay at a "camp" (for Functional neurological disorder syndrome) in Louisville, Kentucky that did more harm than good for our daughter. Our visit with Dr. Gilbert was amazing. The office staff was very friendly and helpful. We were barely seated and we were called back. Dr. Gilbert spent time explaining her diagnosis, treatment plan, and long term goals He was open to discussing different medication treatment, therapies and other options .He evaluated our daughter and spoke with her extensively and abated alot of our concerns and worries After the tears came the overwhelming sense that we finally... Finally found the right place and right neurologist. We were concerned based on all the negative reviews we saw but our experience was top notch from the beginning. Dr Gilbert is accessible through email at all times which is unheard of with most physicians let alone a specialist. After months of no answers we now have a positive outlook for our daughters functional movement disorder. We couldn't be happier with our experience at Cincinnati Children's neurology dept at Liberty Campus as well as Dr. Gilbert, his nurses and staff! "Dr." Gilbert is completely wrong and lo in the stone ages in regards to diagnosis and treatment of PANDAS. Definitely do not recommend!

The experience was amazing. We have been to two other neurologist over the past two years and neither of them had any information to offer about my child's condition. We drove from GA to visit Dr. Gilbert and he new immediately the diagnosis for my child. He was very personable, took is time, looked through records, listened to all we had to say. I did not feel rushed. Treatment options were discussed and he made us feel more at ease at starting our child on medication. I wished I had known about Dr. Gilbert 2 years ago!
