I had a partial thyroidectomy performed by Dr Desai. At my post op visit I found his ability to communicate effectively, compassionately, and or informatively to be absent. He explained that pathology showed I did have papillary thyroid cancer, and that he “Thought he got it all”. Five years later I learned via a neck X-ray that the constant unexplained pain in my neck was due to 12 titanium surgical staples that Dr Desai failed to mention to me at any point in time.
