This man (Derrick Paul) treats his patients like cattle in a very unsafe and unprofessional environment, his office in Peachtree corners. He has no respect to his patient’s time and wellbeing. On Friday, after 45 minutes wait, and because I complained, they moved me from the outside waiting area to an inside waiting area, and no one can tell you when he will see you. Late last year when he operated on my 2nd eye, I had to stop him and inform him that no one had put the necessary eye drops yet. He shrug it as NOT a BIG DEAL. The staff in this location are bunch of very unprofessional staff with no supervision. I guess because they deal with different doctors every day. It was a big mistake to go back to see him as a follow up to my surgery back late last year. Never again. RUDE STAFFS. WON'T BE GOING BACK

The worst doctor I have been seen , he just want to check up and get money , he did not want to do the best thing for my eyes , my eyes had glaucoma trouble but he checked up and gave me drop eyes almost 1 year and did not do cataract surgery for me even he told I need to do that . I had a 210 appointment today. I was screened coming in and when I got to the office at 200, there was a significant line to check in, the waiting room was crowded ...no appropriate social distancing. When I tried calling to discuss, I was told by a rude individual, I would need to speak with an office manager... he transfered me to the voice-mail of an administrative assistant. No regard for safety or time. I had a 210 appointment today. It takes entirely too long for the doctor to see you once you arrive. My appoint was at 8:10 and I was not called back until 8:40 and then I was put in another waiting room to wait on the doctor. It appears they are overbooking. This has happened ever time I have had an appointment.

This doctor is very short in his responses to our concerns. We deserved a more detailed response instead he was insensitive towards my questions about my husband's conditions. Dr. Pau is little out of touch. He lacks sensitivity. We changed our provider immediately after my husband's visit.

The doctor is not a good fit for my medical eye circumstances. My issues requires Concern regarding my additional eye situations/issues beyond just eye pressure tests. Especially when said issues affect the eye pressure. I made an appointment with the other physician in 2 weeks.

Visit at Eye Consultants Of Atlanta didn’t go so well. First of all didn’t see the staff cleaning the exam rooms after each patient. Moving patients in and out like an assembly line. COVID-19!!! Second they were so busy it was impossible stay socially distanced from other patients. COVID-19!!! Waiting to see the Dr took entirely too long. Finally, while checking out, they were trying to charge me for services that I had not received and tried to charge me a second time for my copay. I informed the staff that I hadn’t received all of the services that they were charging me for and I had also paid my copay online when I checked in. I was completely ignored and pressed to pay the amount that they had stated. Not until one of the staff members finally went and asked what services I had received did they realized that I was correct. Staff and doctors are very friendly. However, the wait times are always extremely long. You are expected to arrive on time, as you should. However, the same courtesy isn't extended with wait time. Maybe the issue could be resolved if the office didn't over-schedule. If over-scheduling isn't the issue, maybe spacing the time between patients would be more appropriate. Observation with techs and doctors are no more than 5-10 min, but the wait is usually an hour to hour and 15 min. Again, very nice staff, doctors, surgeons. Staff and doctors are very friendly. The nursing staff excellent, absolutely the best . Helpful, considerate , informative. The only reason I didn't give a 5 star was the time schedule. My dad is 82, and had been with out food since midnight, and his surgery scheduled for 1.00pm, we arrived at 1230 pm. The physician was running behind, so we we're back there from 1.15 pm till 345 pm. We left the facility about 500 pm..Atlanta traffic a nightmare. We live an hr and 15 away. This is my opinion only, but elderly patients should be scheduled earlier than 1.00 pm. Please consider your older patients when scheduling or don't over book. The visit was thorough in an effort to pre-empt any further damage to my eyes. The glaucoma is progressing in the right eye due to excessively high pressure. Hopefully the new eye drops (although extremely expensive) will slow or stop the progression of peripheral vision loss. There will certainly be multiple follow up visits. It’s a fast paced environment but the staff is fry and proficient. Dr Pau is in my estimate a fine eye surgeon. The visit was thorough in an effort to pre-empt any further damage to my eyes. I have been going to Atlanta Eye Cosultants since 2016 (my first eye doctor passed away unexspectantly)....today was the first time that Dr.Pau spoke to me as a person, with kindness in his voice. Thank you for working on your bedside manners.

Everything went smoothly pretty much on time. Staff and physician gave the impression being capable, caring and considerate . Waiting room was the same.

I was referred to Eye Consultants of Atlanta over ten years ago because of a serious eye injury. Without exception, every person I have ever encountered has been excellent. I won’t go anywhere else, and I am very thankful for their expertise and care.

I would recommend Dr. Pau to my friends, family or strangers. He has done glaucoma implant surgery on one of my eyes and also laser surgery on the other eye. So far so good. He is very comfortable to be around. He explains things very well. He listens to your concerns. All his staff is awesome and very nice. I am so thankful for Dr. Pau for saving my sight.

I really like Dr Pau his staff is TOPS the front desk are nice but there are few times I’ve come that they don’t bombard me with “You Owe This” and that’s a turn off when you always have to pay before you leave. Maybe find another way like when you are calling to confirm let us know we owe and how much.
