Dr. Winters is a great doctor, as long as you don't have any complications after surgery, all is good. I had complications after surgery and the team who were supposed to take care of me treated me like garbage. 30+ days out of surgery and still in major pain. Ended up going to my family doctor for help.

Dr. Winters operated on my back 7 years ago. A life changing event. I was close to being in a wheel chair, but then went pain free

I was diagnosed with a Meningioma on the front portion of my brain. Luckily it was benign and encapsulated. Dr Winters was an expert at removing it without any complications. I am thinking clearly now and without the dull fog I had before the surgery. He is very thorough and his staff is awesome also. Thanks Dr Winters!!

Dr. Winters is AMAZING! I've have 2 bad back surgeries and my 3rd surgery with Dr. Winters went so smooth. I would recommend Dr. Winters to every single person I know. I could never thank him enough!!!

Dr. Winters is a wonderful surgeon, very knowledgeable and caring. He’s will take the time to listen to your concerns and address them.

I went with Dr. Winters because all the physical therapists I talked to that work with post-surgery patients said Winters' patients recovered the best. If that wasn't enough, when I was being wheeled back to the surgery room the anesthesiologist said, "You've got the right doctor. When my son needed surgery I sent him to Dr. Winters." The physical therapists and the other doctors in the hospital are in the best position to know who is best. Couldn't be happier with my results and Dr. Winters' service. I went with Dr. Winters because all the physical therapists I talked to that work with post-surgery patients said Winters' patients recovered the best. If that wasn't enough, when I was being wheeled back to the surgery room the anesthesiologist said, "You've got the right doctor. When my son needed surgery I sent him to Dr. Winters." The physical therapists and the other doctors in the hospital are in the best position to know who is best. He performed a discectomy for me and I couldn't be happier with my results and Dr. Winters' service.

He took excellent care of me. Was very understanding and patient with me.

Dr. Winters did a spinal fusion and did a fabulous job. I had absolute trust in him and he was remarkable. His PA Lauren in fantastic too, as well as the office staff.

I went to Dr. Winters because of severe neck and shoulder pain. He was very pleasant, and answered all my questions. He had an MRI taken that showed spondylosis and impinging on the nerves in my neck. At my follow up appointment after the MRI, he was very thorough in explaining the options--physical therapy, surgery, etc. and what effect surgery would have on me, etc. I highly recommend him!! Dr Winters is extremely personable and professional. He really shows concern over my lower back and pain from waist down. He's the only one I trust to do my serious surgery. Dr. Winters basically saved my life. I was lucky enough to have him as my surgeon when i had a medical incident at work, which led to the finding of a brain tumor. Dr. Winters was very confident he would be able to go in and surgically remove it. Dr. Winters was able to put my wife's concerns at ease with his confidence. Two days later He was able to remove the tumor. He even made the incision (which is large) go with my hair line, so now 4 months later the hair is grown back and if you didn't know about the surgery, you wouldn't be able to tell there was a scare. Not only did Dr Winters (not one of his staff) call me with my MRI results, he called on Sunday, during a holiday weekend. I am beyond impressed, especially after having to wait almost a month for my previous MRI results from another providers office.

Dr. Winters is an amazing man and a wonderful Dr. His staff is also truly exceptional. In the last 2 years I have had several appointments and 3 surgeries. Spent many visits in his office crying and screaming from pain. His staff was always helpful and patient with me and he was so sympathetic and kind. Thanks to him I am walking, sitting and standing with minimal pain. I would recommend him to anyone with back, neck, or spinal problems.

The best around !! But don't expect to see him after surgery much , he is busy

I had a lumbar discectomy with another doctor. After the surgery I was experiencing a great deal of pain and having much difficulty walking. I was referred to Dr Winters by a nurse (who works at another hospital). I was nervous to go to a new dr but I really wasn't looking forward to going back to my original dr either. Dr Winters put me at ease right away. After he examined me and my MRI he explained why I was still having pain etc. He was very thorough and used words that I would understand. I didn't feel rushed so I was comfortable asking questions. Several days later I had a few more questions which he took the time to answer. My husband was in an incredible about of pain from a herniated L5 disc but hestitant to have surgery. Dr. Winters put him at ease, validated his pain and all he had done to mitigate it over the years that he agreed to surgery that same week. The surgery was quick and he is without pain. Quite simply one of the best neurosurgeons in the region. Dr. Winters is a gifted surgeon who restored my quality of life to something I hadn't seen since I was in my early 20's. He is a gift to Northern Utah!

dr. Winters/ Lauren are an incredible team.. and they have one incredible staff always been treated wonderful the bedside manners is the best.. All questions were directly answered.. I felt good and confident.. and all question answered about when I had my surgery was wonderful just recovering now!!

I have had back surgery and neck surgery by Doc. Winters, both were successful, giving me a much better quality of life then what I would have had otherwise .I recommended him to my son only because I have such total confidence in him. I have also recommended him to my friends knowing they would get the very best care. Doc. Winters is always completely honest in his assessment of what he can or cannot do to help with any condition I have asked him about, I really appreciate that.

About 3 years ago I suffered from a bulging cervical disc, bone spurs, and cervical spinal stenosis. It was hell. I went through the injection sequence without any benefit. Went in to see Dr. Winters who took one look at my MRI and said I needed surgery. Two weeks later I underwent a discectomy, removal of bone spur, and a graft. I have been symptom free since.
