treating 81 yr old women like junkies. making them piss in a cup for a friggin Rx of Tramadol <
Waited for 30 minutes in the lobby. Waited an hour in the examination room. Saw the doctor for maybe 10 minutes. I tried calling a week before my appointment because I had a question, but nobody answered or called me back. Very unprofessional. Waited for 30 minutes in the lobby. I have been a patient of Dr Dey’s since 2016. I have spinal stenosis and chronic low back pain. He has been so kind and helpful to and when one injection would quit working he would stick with it until he found a treatment that would work for me and it would last for a year or more. He has helped me greatly in maintaining my quality of life and and allow me to continue playing golf and walking which are my passions. Also the staff is very courteous and professional and very helpful to me if I needed to be seen quickly. I highly recommend Dr Dey for back pain issues you may have. You most definitely will wait your turn and then some but we'll worth it. He devotes as much time to each patient as he feels is needed. I went from crawling on my hands and knees to being able to walk with no invasive surgery. I recommend this doctor highly

I have been a long time ,12+ years, patient of Dr Dey's. I feel lucky to have a Dr that remembers the path to my current treatment as well if not better than I do. At one time I thought attention to the details of my health and extra testing for compliance were a little over the top but as the new reality of pain management has taken place I am glad that I was already there. I hope in the future everyone can find a Doctor as talented and devoted to helping them. PS The staff are top notch.
I have been getting injections from Dr Dey, he is very careing and is staff is very proferssional. Sometimes there is a wait for his service he is worth the wait. I would recommend anyone with chronic pain to see him i would give him a five star plus rating. Rose Ann Squillari
Dr. Dey is very knowledgeable about neurological and spinal problems. If you have a question he will take the necessary time to explain things in a way you can you can understand. He also has excellent people working for him. I have always been treated with care and concern. The staff seems to understand that someone who deals with chronic pain needs help and that part of that help is courtesy and concern from the Doctor and Nurse to the people that answer phones and make appointments. After three spinal surgeries and numerous interventions by various medical professionals to help lessen my arthritic back pain, I was referred to Dr. Dey. He diligently pursued different treatments to find one to lessen my pain considerably. Occasionally, I feel some minor discomfort, but I do believe that some pain is a reminder to monitor my activity. I feel better than I have for many years and I am again doing things that I love to do. Any wait time is well worth it for a great doctor!
I am upset with this practice simply because through lack of communication

Very nice and helpful with my pain condition.
I have seen Dr. Dey off and on for about 15 years, since I was a teenager. In the last 5 years I have driven 2 hours from DC to Cumberland to see him every 3 or 4 months. I do this because he is by far the best pain management doctor and neurologist I have found. He takes the time to really understand your health problems, he stays up to date on the current best practices and he doesn’t dismiss your pain. He tries to set realistic expectations for what you can achieve in pain management and improved functionality and tinkers with medication and therapy until you together find what works for you as a specific patient. I suffered from what can be a very dangerous condition after a surgery, called complex regional pain syndrome. He aggressively treated this as soon as I started showing symptoms and was able to help prevent this from escalating. In addition, he has helped to manage my highly complex medical situation which includes multiple interacting orthopedic, neurologic, and pain issues. I attribute the pain relief I have achieved and the vastly improved functionality I have gained to his adept clinical skills and attentiveness as a physician. He has also helped friends of mine who came in with very unusual headaches and was able to identify an unlikely cause that cured her. My Mom is a physician and is often distrustful of other physicians Dr. Dey is one of the few physicians she trusts with my care. I am very grateful to be able to be treated by him and to have benefitted from his medical management! I would highly recommend him, particularly to anyone suffering from fibromyalgia, CRPS, or complex pain and neurological conditions I have seen Dr. Dey off and on for about 15 years, since I was a teenager. Dr. Dey performed the most comprehensive exam and case review of my back pain issues. He has successfully treated me for the last two years and I am virtually pain free because of his care and treatment. He is caring and spends as much time with me as I require during each visit.

I believe Dr. Dey to be a great pain management specialist himself. Dr. Dey spends plenty of time with his patients and doesn't make one feel hurried. All questions asked of Dr. Dey are answered in detail and makes one feel welcome. Dr. Dey, himself, is wonderful! I would recommend him for the area of Allegany County, MD to anyone who wants to stay in the area for pain management.
I am upset with this practice simply because through lack of communication, maybe a failure to empower their staff to think and solve problems, I spent 3 months waiting for the appointment itself, took off 4 hours from work, spent an hour and a half in the waiting room/exam room and went through a long exam/interview when the purpose for my visit was never going to be fulfilled and that fact could have been determined at the outset of my contact with this practice. I was not there for a second opinion, in fact, I was referred by my rheumatologist,. However, Dr. Dey spent a considerable amount of time questioning my diagnosis. If I wanted a second opinion about that, I would have gone to another rheumatologist, of which Dr. Dey is not one. My anger lies in the fact that I made my situation and what I needed clear from my very first phone call. I explained that I had another physician doing spinal intervention treatment and I was only needing medication management. I think now that all of that information went in one ear of the office staff and right out the other and none of it was ever taken in to consideration regarding policies in that practice, or conveyed to the doctor. The end result is lost time from work and wasted spoons. If you are not familiar with the spoon theory of chronic illness you should look it up, but in short, chronically ill people must use their allotment of spoons (energy and functionality) carefully or risk running out too soon, or making themselves sicker. Health care providers should not be in the business of uselessly robbing sick people of their time and energy with no return on their investment. Our time matters too. It is precious to us. I have been seeing Dr. Dey and his staff for pain management for years. He has done so much to help my back pain, I would recommend him to all! The injections have helped control my pain so well, I have my life back.
